Coast Hand Car Wash

I have been here multiple times and every other time it was fine. After my car came out and they started drying the car odd I noticed some scratches on the back hatch.
I have a black Tahoe and it was very dirty because we were just in the mountains. I want to make sure I say that so its not assumed it was a clean vehicle.
I stopped the 2 guys drying my car and noticed these small scratches all over and immediately called out a manager. The manager of course says it can’t be them. My paint was PERFECT before this. 1 or two little scratches before.
He then told me I can pay him $ 200 and he will get them all out for me. ARE YOU SERIOUS?! He also blamed an automatic wash that we haven’t been through in a long time and the. I showed him the strokes go up and down and side to side. An automatic wash only goes one way.
After 30 min of arguing he said he would take responsibility. It’s going to take me 5 hours but the scratches will come back. Come back Saturday at 8 and we’ll do it.
Saturday morning, show up at 8 sharp. «Sorry we can’t do it today it may rain (40% chance) so please come back tomorrow. Mind you this is THEIR mistake.
Sunday morning, show up at 9 ok please come back around 3:30. 6.5 hours??? He said he is not making any money on my car so they will take their time. I wouldn’t be dropping off Pitt family vehicle back here if you guys didn’t mess it up! So now two days in a row I’m inconvenienced.
Hate to say it but I am going to tell everyone I know to steer clear of coast hand wash. Sure we can find a better one that cares about their quality and outcome.

It was busy granted but I paid $ 45 for a car was which included a hand wax. They vacuum the inside along with some additional work. They left so much that needed vacuumed under the seats, it didn’t even seem like they wiped anything down. It wasn’t worth it the job they did.

They do a pretty good job on my black car, I usually do my car myself so I’m really picky, of course it’s not as good as when I do it but when I’ve had a crazy week and no time I’m pretty satisfied with the job they do.

Second time I came for a car wash in the last month; it use to be great years ago. My big issue is that they don’t take the cars in sequence and I have to wait longer. The fancy cars go first or the cars they are detailing. I believe in first come first serve for the basic wash. Also it takes time to finish details and I find spots inside they miss. They need more staff. I don’t think you should have a hour wait to do a basic car wash. On a none busy day

Still dirty. They didn’t do a very good job for the amount of time I permitted. I had to point out more than 10 spots of residue that wiped off with their hand cloth. I requested air in one tire and the guy said no problem but in return they pointed out to me that my tire needed air. But I had requested before the wash that they add air to it.

This is the first time in a few years having my car washed here. They did a terrible job. The guys seemed to care more about talking on their phones. The car looked like a two year old washed it. When I tried to get an answer from the manager, he did not speak English. Never again…

I’ve been going to this place for two years and pay for the monthly car washes. They finally have a new manager that I adore! He has great customer service skills and seems to motivate the rest of the guys. I’ve seen a change in the way they do things lately and it’s good! If you’ve been before and were disappointed, go back. Let them know and I’m sure they will be happy to change your minds!

However, if I am paying $ 15.00 for a classic car wash then let’s stay true to it and give me a good old school wash. My mats were still dirty, they vacuumed around the mats and not under. So when I moved the mats there was still dirty and sand. They didn’t vacuum my seats well.
They left my dash all dusty and dirty as well as the side doors on the interior. So I had to clean them myself. After the worker noticing my effort he decided to wash my mats and vacuum it again! He also has the guys re-​clean the inside. That was nice of them.
Overall, good clean after they knew they half assed my car. A little pricey for me but not bad either.

Extremely surprised! I was confused by the prices, because one says «car wash $ 17» then another says «interior $ 95». So I thought I was only going to receive exterior.
For $ 17 they did a full interior and exterior wash. If I’m being critical they left a few specks here and there but for their cheapest wash, I’ll take it.

Well, it is definitely on the expensive side. I did the $ 2 off check-​in and it was still $ 15…and that’s before tip! More than I care to spend for a small sedan. A more appropriate price would be $ 14 – 15 pre-discount…especially for the work done.
Wash was ok, a few spots here and there, but I’m not sure why the vacuum job was so sloppy — it’s not like they were in a rush. It took over 40 minutes for my car to even go through the wash! They do not lift the mats at all… so everything along the edge of the matt was still there. I went through afterwards and finished their job.
Sitting outside on their nice shaded patio was also nice except that I don’t think anyone should be waiting for over 1hr on a basic wash. That was just too long.

Not going back. Pricey, very mediocre quality on the vacuum of the interior. I don’t like being the «quality control» person for them at the prices they charge.

My first time here. And after my car was washed they left it in the sun for about 10 min and than dried it up and notice their was still bird poop on my front bumper and water spots on the front of my car and before I got in my car I had to tell him you missed a spot there was still dirt inside my car on the sides SMH and I gave him a tip still wow

This was the first time trying this place and was impressed. I usually frequent Beach Cities or Metro on Harbor Blvd, but both places seem to have slipped a couple rungs on the quality ladder. I got a wash and hand wax for $ 40 and they did a great job.
Their is a nice little, in-​door waiting, too. Really great when you need to warm up on those brisk So Cal mornings. Quality work, friendly staff, good prices = repeat customer.

I have been coming here for a couple years now, these guys do great work. When you pull in they throughly clean and vacuum the interior of the car. They use compressed air blow all the dust and dirt out of the vents and moldings in the interior. They dry the car and use compressed air on the outside as well after it is washed. I have never had a bad wash here. Thanks guys for always taking care of my cars!

My friend had a little bit too much to drink and decided my back seat was the trash bag. There was no way I was cleaning that up myself so I searched through Unilocal and I found this place really close by.
I came around 4:40 and they were closing at 5:00 but I pleaded and they said ok to detailing my car. About 30 mins and 60 bucks later, my car was in pristine condition. I did check into Unilocal for $ 2 off. I haven’t had my car detailed in a while so I really don’t know pricing. It seemed a bit high but for what my friend did I would’ve paid more. BTW, he’s so paying me back.

If I could give a lower rating, I would.
I had been a loyal customer here for 20 years. After my experience here on Monday, I will never return and will tell my friends not to go here for a car wash.
To begin, I pulled up and they had a man who didn’t understand or speak English manning the line. I told him I wanted a full car wash, including the tires and vanilla scent. They failed to tell me my car was done for THIRTY minutes and when I looked in the backseat two hours later, noticed that they had not wiped down or vacuumed the backseat. They also stole my ID and when I called to complain, the guy who answered the phone was NOT helpful. Bottom line: don’t go here!

The quality of the car washes has gone done dramatically! The first two times I was here they did a decent job. Last time I was here they left a wet rag in the backseat of my car. Luckily I saw it right away and handed it back to them. There were also drip marks on my car from them not drying the side mirrors. This time when I came back to my car, not only were there drip marks on the doors, but I noticed that the trash from my cup holders had not been removed. In fact there was a plastic bag sitting in the side of my driver door that wasn’t there before! Additionally the vacuum job was awful! There was still sand on my backseats! They raise their prices (from $ 15-​$ 17) but cut back on work. How does that make sense? I could have gotten a better wash and vacuum at the drive through and it would have cost less! I will NOT be coming back.

I came here for the first time ever on a Sunday afternoon to get my dirty, dusty black car washed. I picked the basic $ 17 wash and used the $ 2 Unilocal check-​in coupon. There were several cars ahead of me, I’d say at least 20 cars between the waxing station, vacuuming, washing, and drying.
They started to vacuum my car right away, and I headed inside to pay. I waited at least 3 minutes at the counter for someone to even come in. Just take my money! I was happy that at least I could get cash back for a tip from my card. The cashier was a friendly young guy.
I sat inside the waiting room at first and grabbed a cup of joe. The counters had tons of Car & Driver magazines scattered about. They did have free WiFi signs and tons of electrical outlets that had USB ports for charging your iPad while you wait. I noticed that there seemed to be ant-​poison granules all over the counter space I was sitting at which grossed me out, so I went outside to catch some UV rays instead.
I’m one of those weirdos that will literally sit in front of my front-​load washing machine and watch, and I like car washes where I can see my car getting suds up! You can’t here. Wah.
My black car sat for a few minutes baking/​drying in the hot sun before anyone tended to it once it came out of the wash, no bueno. Upon a quick inspection at pick-​up time, the outside looked pretty good, aside from some water spots and the bottom of the bumper never getting a once-​over with a towel. The inside, not so much. My car has a black interior, and I could still see tons of dirt in the crevices, and my little coffee spill on my plastics was still there. I also noticed the inside of my windshield wasn’t very clean and could still see the suction-​cup ring from my GPS mount.
Will I be back? Probably not, which is a shame because it’s so close to my house… I’d rather go to Angel’s up the road.

My only criticism is that I didn’t discover Coast Hand Car Wash earlier in my life.
I got an excellent detail on my filthy Jeep (like, disgusting… think massive amounts of Smartwater bottles, diet coke cans, and a literal graveyard of cups formerly filed with Starbucks). Slight stench from permanently leaving my gross spin shoes and hot yoga mat in the back seat.
A mere 3 hours and 150 dollars later and my Jeep looked brand spanking new! And did not smell like a teenage boys hockey bag anymore.
Fast, friendly, convenient, and they did an excellent job. No complaints. Go here.
