A&G Imports

I never fill these things out, but I had to for these guys. A and G took great care of our truck’s brakes. My husband was out of town who usually handles car stuff. All the guys at a and g took great care of our truck. I couldn’t recommended them more. Also they did the job super quick. Thanks A and G you guys are the best.

I’ve had bad experiences with the vehicles I have brought to them in the past few years. I think they are overloaded and have lost the attention to detail and customer service required to survive in this industry. From misdiagnosing problems, replacing the wrong parts, not calling when the vehicles are ready, and not performing all of the requested services… I can’t say I will be back.
All of the other reviews are 5 stars. I would encourage everyone to post their experiences; not just the friends/​family or those related to the staff that are obviously biased.

I’ve been bringing my VW bus to A&G for past 17 years. Never had a complaint and always great work at reasonable prices.

I’ve only taken my RDX to the dealer, 7yrs!
Recently however, the warranty has expired and with it the
«How are we doing» customer service calls with Q’s & concerns about how can we be of better service, blah, blah, blah!
Yesterday I took my RDX to A&G, highly recommend by a 10+ yr. customer. I was apprehensive & skeptical but needed to find a trust worthy place.
It took just under an hour, (while I had dinner in a familiar place nearby). I need new front brakes within 1month/​1000 miles, and referred me to a trust worthy AC place.
Will follow up on that after the holidays.
Courteous, polite, knowledgeable, and didn’t charge me.

I’ve been disappointed by independent repair places. It seems like they are either honest, or competent. A&G is both. They are very good at diagnosing, and get the work done on time, at the price they quoted. I was surprised when they were able to work on the company Ford truck. They saved us a lot on that one, made the boss very happy.
It’s nice to have a place to bring my car, that I can trust completely.

I am a believer. Brought my third car there… Fixed it perfectly. Went above and beyond. I have all my friends go there. It is a breath if fresh air to have such honest and friendly mechanics. I got a quote from another auto shop on placentia ave 2 weeks ago. A & G fixed it for a fraction of the cost. Perfectly. Why go anywhere else??? Thank you guys!

I am an international student and I need to save as much as I can while keeping my car in good conditions. I’ve been servicing my Mustang for the last 1 and a half year at A&G and I am extremely satisfied with them. I know more than enough about cars to tell that these guys are honest, never pushing repairs that you don’t need. The service is just perfect, quick and performed in timely manner. Their invoices are accurate and report everything they did or noticed while servicing the car. Highly recommended.

These guys are great. I’ve been coming to them for about 10 years with my VW Vanagon, my Mini Cooper and 2 Mazdas. They are always looking for ways to keep the costs down and I’ve never had a repair done that didn’t perform just as they said it would. Everyone that works there is friendly, knowledgeable and honest. As others have pointed out, there have been several times that they’ve sent me on my way with little or no money spent. My wife deals with them most of the time and they are very patient and courteous when she takes a car in for «making a funny noise». They are hidden a little bit on the east side of Newport Blvd just past 19^th St. Look for the Midas Muffler sign and turn into the driveway just before Midas. It’s worth the effort.

A&G is the Greatest! Alex, Armando & Al are honest and trustworthy providing high quality work for the lowest possible prices. I have been using them on all of my cars since the 80s !! A&G has proved their worth in gold once again. I took my Hyundai Santa Fe into them because the power steering fluid was leaking from somewhere. After looking at the car in their shop, Al called to tell me the rack and pinion steering unit needed to be replaced and the cost would be about $ 900. Since they have been my trusted auto mechanics for over 15 years, I gave them the go ahead. When I went to pick up the car, I was very pleasantly surprised to be presented with a bill for about $ 360 instead of the quoted $ 900. Al explained that when they got better access to the power steering unit, they realized it was just a high pressure tube leading into the unit that was leaking and since the fluid was running down the unit into and out of the steeriing shaft it initially looked like the whole unit needed to be replaced rather than just the high pressure tube. It sure gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling knowing that my mechanic, although authorized to do a $ 900 fix, only did the necessary fix for $ 360. I’m not sure that would happen at a dealership or many other mechanic shops. Thanks A & G. You continue to be the GREATEST!!!
