Nice, family-owned Deli that’s a staple in Greenwich. These people have been in business long enough to really know what they are doing. Good food, good people.

This is one of my favorite delis! The food is always fresh, well prices, and made quickly, and the employees are also some of the nicest people you will ever meet. They have every kind of sandwich you could think of, a popular one is the bruin, and the bacon, egg, and cheese is amazing as well.

Rinaldi’s is hands down the best sandwich place you’ll find in the middle of nowhere. I see reviews saying that the employees are rude to you if they don’t know you, but I’ve never seen them do anything like that before. If you introduce yourself and are nice to them, they are guaranteed to be nice to you back. The only people they are even slightly rude to are those who are rude to them which is honestly just human nature so don’t be a dick. Anyway, the positives. They always put so much on a sandwich that you don’t even need to eat the whole thing in order to get full. I moved to Boston a few years ago and I swear they have ruined me for every other sandwich shop! I usually get an Italian combo if I’m looking for a cold sandwich and a rueben if I was a hot one, both of which I cannot find the equal to in Boston! The atmosphere is homey and welcoming, the employees are all wonderful, and the food is an absolute delight to come home to. Hell yes, Rinaldi’s. Keep doing what you’re doing!

We used to drop in here after walking the dogs at Mianus River Park. When in the area, we still return. The people are friendly and the sandwiches are really good. It gets a lot of business from landscapers and construction workers which I use as a benchmark for quality and price. It has on/off street parking that can be hard to navigate because of the 5-way intersection. In nice weather, there are outdoor tables for eating.

I do not know why everyone raves about this place. The service is terrible when they do not know you. I have gone on several occasions and have had a horrible experiences. I moved to the same street as this place in December and walked in and asked for a Bacon Egg and Cheese and a side of cones(deep fried mashed potatoes) and they put the cones on it. I asked for them to do it over and they refused saying this is the way all the kids order it and I should just take it as is. I was starving and in a rush so I did and was just upset they would t fix their mistake. I should have just left it on the counter. Living in a place where I could see it from my door I had to give it many more chances. the next time I tried to introduce myself as someone who just moved to the street and lives alone and wanted recommendations as to what to eat and I was told to read the menu and order what I wanted to eat. I almost thought I was on an episode of Kitchen Nightmares. Other customers that they knew walked in and were greeted as if they were family while I was standing there being ignored. What put me over the edge was the first day thee ladies behind the counter were nice right away to me, they took my order with a smile asked me how my day was etc… then Asked me what college I will be going to in the fall. I laughed and said thank you but I will be 30 years old this fall. Rather than laugh with me(I look very young and get it alot) the woman’s whole body and face changed and she goes I thought you were someone else and was no longer friendly. Had me pay and stopped taking to me! I was outraged and could not believe it!!! The food itself is good but nothing to write home about. Other diners and delis are much better and worth the drive. There is nothing special that you can not get at any deli or supermarket. Bottom line it’s not worth it they act as if they are doing you a favor by being open unless you know them… Then I bet it’s great but I for one will not go back and it’s a shame because I have to drive to get a sandwich.

Rinaldi’s is everything a local Italian deli should be. Top-quality food: the meats are all Boars Head Brand and almost everything else is handmade and prepared by the sisters who own and run the place, Antoinette and Michelle. The steam table always has delicious options like their amazing Sausage and Peppers, Eggplant Parmesan, Meatloaf, and usually a pasta option. Everything down to the bread is amazing on their sandwiches and their range of sandwich options is immense. The Bruin and The Hanna are definitely crowd pleasers but sandwiches like The Fresh, The Dude, The Beast, and The Navy Seal are sure to get anyone’s mouth watering. Plus they make the best bacon, egg and cheeses around. Without question. Anyone who grew up with Rinaldi’s in their life, like I did, knows there’s something incredibly special about it. If it’s your first time, start with a bacon, egg, and cheese or a Bruin and you’ll be sure to return.

Accept no substitute. Rinaldi’s in Cos Cob is the real deal, loved by bankers and landscapers alike. A Greenwich institution. Hot lunch and specialty sandwiches. Owned and operated by the hardest working family around. Breakfast: bacon, egg, and cheese, double egg. Perfect. Lunch: The Bruin or chicken cutlet with roasted red peppers. Dinner: take home a tray for chicken parm. Tell ‘em Sean sent ya!

Rinaldi’s is located on Orchard Street, a side street just off the Post Road. They sell many breakfast and lunch sandwiches, along with an assortment of snacks and drinks. There isn’t any sitting area inside, because the building that it’s housed in is relatively small, but there are some nice benches outside for good weather. Their sandwiches are big, juicy(where applicable), and reasonably priced. One of my favorites from Rinaldi’s is The Bass, a nice spicy chicken sandwich on a wedge. Some other sandwiches that deserve some note are their bruins and their breakfast sandwiches. Their bruins, in my opinion, are the best in Cos Cob. And their breakfast sandwiches are more varied than Cardillo’s, but their bacon egg and cheeses are still a hair inferior to those from Cardillo’s.

Rinaldi’s is perfect for a quick bite in the morning. I stop almost every morning and pick up a bacon, egg, and cheese. The people there are among the most friendly I’ve seen at a restaurant. The food is also quite tasty, and their drink selection is varied enough for a morning. Their lunch is also very tasty. Rinaldi’s is perfect for a quick bite in Cos Cob.
