History

Established in 2007.

I developed my foundation for photography through various classes at the University of Michigan while I earned my bachelor’s degree. After graduating in 1994 I spent a year as a photo assistant with two leading Detroit-​area commercial photographers. In 1995 I moved to Fairfield County Connecticut and continued to study photography at SUNY Purchase. In 2007 I started my portrait photography business.

Today I am a newborn | baby | maternity | family photographer specializing in custom, artistic, natural light images.

My photographic journey began when I was a child growing up in the Detroit suburbs. I adored flipping through old family albums, consumed by the magical nature of the photograph. Each image told me a story — truths and emotions of the subjects, and mysteries solved by my imagination. These old family albums sparked my passion for seizing moments in time to bring to the future and share with others. Since then I’ve sought to master the art of capturing timeless moments of love, beauty, and mystery.

My creative vision is to capture the heart of your family in the beauty of our surroundings or the comfort of my studio. I blend traditional posed portraits with interactive candid shots to provide you with genuine keepsakes to embrace now and pass on to future generations.

Quality service is paramount. Your experience through the portrait process is as important as your final heirloom quality portraits. My goal is for us to have fun creating images you will cherish forever.
