I’ve been to Michele Lisa salon a few times now and will continue to go back. The staff are all so professional and really really nice! The assistants make you feel comfortable, offer you coffee, see if there’s anything you need ect. My stylist Nancy is the onky person I’ve ever been to that does my color exactly how I want it. It’s never looked better since I’ve been going to her! I wont let anyone else touch my hair now! Nancy really listens when I tell her how I want my hair cut and she never cuts more than what I want. She has been a godsent to my once damaged and broken hair. It is finally starting to grow back and has never looked better! This is definitely the place to go if you are in need of any services! Class A for sure! Not to mention the owner Michele is the only salon owner I’ve ever met who is so nice to all of her staff! It’s nice to see the non competitive dynamic. Michele and Nancy are such sweethearts!

My experience started off pleasant enough; it was not wonderful, but I would not call it horrible either. I called and asked to speak to Talia, who is the friend of someone I know. I told her that I was looking for someone to hair and makeup the day of my wedding at our hotel and that I didn’t have an exact number of people yet, but that I would get back to her shortly. That was not a problem and she quoted me $ 115 for me for an updo, and $ 85 for my bridesmaids. I ended up making an appointment to come in a couple of weeks later for a consultation, as well as a cut and color. The cut was underwhelming and the color already looked faded at the tips by the time it was being cut. Talia asked if I had received highlights because my other color was coming through so much. I replied that I didn’t, and asked if maybe the colorist could put some more color in it. Talia said that it was fine and that it looked good. I trusted her. Within a week the color was completely gone from my hair despite buying the overpriced shampoo and conditioner that Talia pushed, so I called the salon. They agreed to re do my hair the Thursday before my wedding for free. About a week before my wedding I email Talia to give her the exact address of the hotel as well as the final number of people to receive her services (5 hair and makeup, 1 just hair). She responded with «final prices» that were at least $ 60 more per person for hair A WEEK BEFORE MY WEDDING. She knew that it would be difficult, if not impossible, to find someone else a week before my wedding, so she thought that she could raise the price by a ridiculous amount and I would just pay it. Luckily, my mother goes to an amazing hair salon and she stepped in and is doing my hair for the wedding and redoing the cut and color that Michelle Lisa hair salon botched.

The owner, Michele Lisa is a doll and always makes me feel special. She cuts and styles my hair so I’m always thrilled with the results. Her team is warm and friendly. Make sure you book your next appt while you are here. She books up far in advance.

Visited the salon based upon the reviews I read. I must say it was a very positive experience! Abbygail did a wonderful job with my color & cut. I was hesitant to start going somewhere new but felt I needed a change and I am so happy with the outcome. Everyone is very nice and they seem very focused on pleasing new & existing clients. I have found a new salon & will be back. Awesome!

PERFECTION !
I have been to many salons over the years — even worked in one ! Never was I more pleased with a salon. Each and every staff member is so kind, friendly, and helpful. Everyone makes you feel so welcomed. They are always catering to your needs. They offer mimosas no matter what day or time :)
I recently had my hair died here by their amazing, talented stylist Talia. She took her time with my consultation as we went back and forth trying to figure out exactly what I wanted. When I explain to her the ideas that I have in mind she executes it perfectly ! Over the years I have explained to each stylist I’ve had what I wanted, no one was able to execute it like Talia ! I always wanted a sun kissed natural look, as I have very dark brown hair. Something that you would no see and know it was highlighted nor grown out over time.
Talia then processed to a hair cut ! This also made me nervous at first. You always go to a salon and say you want a trim and leave with over 3 inches on the salon flood ! She did not do that — she gave me exactly what I expected, a trim. I did not notice much of the length gone but I did notice how healthy my hair was ! With the amazing, fast blow out you could see the perfect, natural, highlights with amazing shine ! I have very curly hair and there was not once cease or crimp in my hair !
I left the salon feeling so great about myself. About a week later a small part of my highlights faded father quickly, due to the shampoo I was using. I called Talia and she fixed them right away with no charge !
Over all I had an awesome experience! This salon is beautiful in every way, staff, atmosphere, and cleanliness ! Can’t wait for my next appointment !

I love this salon! Julia was my stylist — she listened to me and gave me a perfect cut! The salon itself is beautiful and everyone was so friendly and down to earth. The prices were fair, especially for this area. I 100% recommend them and will definitely be returning.

I am a Long Island transplant who is new to the area. I’ve been to the salon a few times for blow outs and eyebrow threading (ONLY place remotely near Peekskill that does this!) but I made an appointment about a month ago with the owner, Michele, to get my hair colored and a trim before my wedding next week. I showed Michele a picture and she took time to consult with me and explain what she would do. My hair came out looking gorgeous but I wasn’t in love with it and I thought even though it looked exactly like the picture, it wasn’t for me.
Michele could sense I was upset and said she refused to let me leave until I was completely satisfied and loved my hair. She RE-​DID highlights and balayage and really did a stunning job. I love my hair and she went above and beyond to make sure I was happy.
I would recommend to ANYONE in the area! 5 stars!

I can’t say enough about Michele Lisa Salon. Julia is my stylist and she is phenomenal! She takes my ideas and builds on them just makes them better. All the staff is courteous and professional. I started going there in anticipation of my wedding hoping to find a stylist I loved and I did. Julia outdid my expectations, you could tell it was important to her to get it right and for me to feel nothing short of beautiful when I left. I appreciated this so much. Michele a wonder always checking in and remembering from one visit to the next what’s going on. Christina is a whirlwind of sweetness that never misses a beat. Ariel who has done my makeup for my rehearsal dinner and my wedding hit it on the mark both times. I love everything they do!

Yes, this is my 2^nd review, but I feel I must once again, write about this wonderful salon. I have gotten numerous compliments on my cut and color, thank you Michele and Talia, but not only do I absolutely LOVE my hair now, I want to write about the entire experience. Everyone is welcoming and friendly. Michele is willing to always listen to what you want and is always ready to do whatever it takes to make the clients happy. This is a wonderful place!

Couldn’t be happier or more excited with my haircut/​blow dry today! Staff is super friendly, professional, and knows what they are doing. I have thick Asian hair and Jessica really took the time to pin my hair up after the blow dry to ensure it was nice and voluminous. Place was very pretty, clean, and well kept. I will definitely be returning!

My search is over. Finally found a fantastic place for my hair care. Abbygail is my stylist and she does an awesome job. You should check her out. I can’t say enough about the place either. It’s a beautiful salon with friendly people and a comfortable atmosphere where opinions and compliments are honestly given — not the standard you look great as you walk out the door. There is no heavy push to buy products, something I really appreciate.

Got a disaster of a haircut somewhere else and came here hoping Abbygail could save it. She worked wonders.

Michele and her team did my hair and all my Bridemaids hair for my June 2014 wedding. Each stylist was incredible! All of my girls looked and felt beautiful. I had a large bridal party and family members who all needed hair and makeup. Michele and her team had everyone done and ready to go on time. Each person was given the same amount of care and effort. No one was rushed. The hairstylist are all top notch!
Arielle did all of my girls makeup. She is extremely talented and professional. She brought out the uniqueness in each of my bridesmaids and made them all feel and look beautiful.

I highly recommend this hair salon!!! The place is lovely and clean and the staff is super friendly! I got my hair cut from Talia and she did an amazing job on it! My hair has never looked so healthy and bouncy! She offered me great tips on how to treat my hair and recommended some products for me to use, which I did buy there! Definitely coming back here again!!!

Got an amazing color and cut from Talia. Prices are reasonable. I walked in and was greeted and was asked if I wanted coffee or tea, they even served bagels and fruit salad.
The staff are amazingly nice and very talented. I would highly recommend.

Two weeks before my wedding in Cortlandt Manor, I contacted Michele Lisa Hair Salon to book a trial. They set me up with Abbygail who was great. Very friendly and looked at all of my pictures and ideas before starting on my hair. It was pouring on the day of the trial so my curly/​wavy hair was a frizzfest. She styled it nicely, and we talked about what she would do if it was raining on the actual day. I told her I had been looking at flower bobby pins on Etsy and she suggested I just go to Michael’s and make my own. Which I did!
I showed up on my wedding day with my home made flower bobby pins and she did my hair even better than the trial! After the trial my hair was more wavy than curly, so I asked her to make it curlier for the actual wedding and so she did. The only problem was that it took almost 2 hours to get my hair done and I had only budgeted 1 hour, but Abbygail eased my nerves. After all, they won’t start the wedding without me! Both times I was there, I was given mimosas and everyone celebrated the fact that I was getting married.
Abbygail understood that by the time I was walking down the aisle, my hair would droop a little so she made the curls extra tight and by the time I was walking down the aisle, they looked super natural. I have curly hair and really didn’t want it to look super «done» and she understood that. She made the curls different sizes so they wouldn’t look uniform.
I live in NYC, so it’s not convenient to make this my usual salon, but my friend who also lives in NYC travels up here to get her hair done here regularly. I am a little too lazy for all that travel, but if I am ever in need of hair services in the area, I will definitely return and I would strongly recommend that you do too! If I lived closer, I would make this my regular salon.

My daughter needed an updo for her Sweet 16. After reading the reviews on Unilocal we made an appointment. Michele Lisa is possibly the best salon we’ve ever been to. They made my daughter feel so comfortable & everyone there was so sweet & kind. Abbygail did an amazing job on her hair. They went above & beyond & Cristina even came out with a piece of cake lit by a candle & sang happy birthday to my daughter! It made her special even more special. They are such a great salon & are now the only one we’ll use from here on out!

Came here on a Saturday morning for a blow-​out and trim. Samantha was my stylist and was super friendly and we had a nice convo all throughout the hair cutting and styling experience. I was in and out in about an hour and the place was rather busy at 11am. For once I felt like the salon was listening to MY preference instead of cutting my hair and trimming it to the means they thought fit… aka I ask for as little off as possible and some stylists think it necessary to cut three inches.
Samantha did an awesome job, trimmed as little as I needed and gave me some ‘bounce’ to my hair. The blow dry came out amazing and lasted the entire weekend. My hair is extremely long to begin with and I still felt comfortable with the length at the end. $ 35 for the trim alone seems steep but in this area and for the quality of the salon, it was fitting. The atmosphere wasn’t snooty and stuck up like some places– I hate feeling judged and inferior but thankfully here it is inviting and relaxing.
I would most definitely return for another blow out and trim in the future, esp since its literally 50 yards from my house
