History

Established in 2003.

The East Side Bakery was started by Tim and Christine Armstrong in hopes of bringing back the «Mom and Pop Store» feel that they felt was missing in town. After establishing their business on the East End of Cortland where they also live, Tim and Chris are happy to say that their customers have become a part of their «East Side» extended family.

Fresh sliced meats and cheese at crazy great prices? Wow! Yes, yes and yes!
I wanted to grab some fresh meat and cheese for sandwiches and my aunt suggested this place. I grabbed salami and provolone, freshly sliced on order. Then I grabbed a loaf of delicious italian bread and had them slice it for me also. It made for some great sandwhiches, small enough sized bread to not make full sandwiches but some great 4 or 5 bite sammies.
Then we grabbed a few black and white cookies (at a great price also).
Everything was delicious and they were the perfect solution to my hunger problem.

One of the true Gems in Cortland NY. I cannot believe I am the first person to write a review about this fantastic bakery.
They do pizza (order and pick up only) on Thursday and Friday nights, and it is fantastic. Sheet style, in either white garlic or regular. You can also get it by the slice some days for lunch, but hard to know when.
Their desserts and bread are fantastic. My fiancé is hooked on their macaroons. This is one of those places that once you go, you will wonder why you didn’t know about it, and you’ll think of reasons to go all the time.
