Open Lotus Henna specializes in safe, all natural Henna Body Art. Ani has extensive experience in both modern and traditional designs and uses only the finest, all natural, plant based ingredients in her hand blended henna paste. No black henna or PPD.

Additionally, Ani offers Face & Body Painting for children of all ages (and grownups too!) using cosmetic grade, non-​toxic, water based body paints.

Ani is available by appointment for individual adornment, private parties, bridal showers, Mehndi celebrations, weddings, Bat Mitzvahs, baby showers /​blessingways, corporate events, festivals and more!

Established in 2005.

Open Lotus Henna is owned and operated by Ani Jenkins, a visual and performing artist who has been beautifying willing bodies for nearly a decade.

Trained in the art of henna first hand by her mother, Ani has extensive experience in both modern and traditional designs. Ani works quickly and has an elegant style that can be easily tailored to meet specific needs.

Ani began offering Face and Body Painting as a service for young children and those who would like a bit more color or do not prefer a lasting design.

Business Owner

Ani was born in August, 1977 and has always loved drawing and doodling on her skin! She has a successful career as a sculptural artist, she owns and operated a small business building custom amplification systems and sensors and helps senior citizens find appropriate housing.

This diverse career background has helped Ani become adept at working with people from all walks of life, all ages, faiths and colors and nothing brings her greater joy than bringing smiles to her clients faces.
