This was my first visit to Dr. Winfield. What a great experience! The office is convenient and lovely, in the Town Center. The greeting was warm and inviting. When I met the doctor, my first impression was that she has a wonderful demeanor and«bedside manner.» Dr. Winfield is warm and intelligent and knowledgeable. I liked that she spent plenty of time to understand and consider my needs, so there is no feeling of being rushed. She is a very highly trained and competent dermatologist, with a great personality for making you feel at ease, and well taken care of. Very highly recommended! You will be pleased.

Julie Winfield had done wonders for my skin. I first came to see Dr. Winfield when my skin was going through a transitional period which caused severe acne. She discussed all of the approaches we could take to cure my skin problems in a way that I could both comprehend and decipher. She makes each visit personal and gives her full undivided attention to each patient. I have received microdermabrasion, laser skin treatments, laser hair removal, chemical peels, and medical facials, all of which have left my skin looking and feeling better than before(worth every penny). She doesn’t pressure you to do unnecessary treatments, in fact her approach is quite gentle and realistic. The office is clean and calming. The staff is always ready and willing to greet you with open arms or answer any questions. I receive post treatment follow-up phone calls. It is a way to stay in touch with patients but also assures you the staff is committed to providing the best service through and through. Overall, my experience has always been 5-stars. She has gone above and beyond for my skin. I would absolutely recommend this dermatologist for anyone who wants a personalized experience and not a generic in-and-out one.

Great overall experience. This was my first time seeing a dermatologist so I wasn’t sure what to expect. The office was very clean and a short wait time(10 – 15 minutes or so). Dr. Winfield was very informative in regards to why my skin was breaking out and what I could do to prevent it from reoccurring. I found her to be both professional & knowledgeable. I will without a doubt come back for another treatment!

Went to Dr. Winfield to get a few moles checked out and reviewed for Skin Cancer. Needed to get them removed and the process was very professional and painless. The office space is clean and calming as well as the receptionist is very helpful! Will definitely be going back for all my skin care needs!

Having extremely sensitive skin, I’ve needed a dermatologist for much of my adult life. Once I found Julie, 10 years ago, I’ve never gone looking for another. She’s not only top-notch at treating my skin, but she is gentle, kind and empathetic. I only wish she could be my GP! No, she doesn’t take insurance as most insurance companies don’t cover much of what her patients want, I expect. That said, they *will* submit the claims for you, in case your insurance company will reimburse you. That is one less headache in my life, thank you very much.

Lovely disposition; lovely office. Don’t be fooled. Her fees are outrageous. She charged me $ 500. for a 30 minute consult, most of which was chit chat, and to use liquid nitrogen on some brown spots. i pointed out 3 that I wanted treated. She was so engaged in her conversation, I had to point out the second one twice and the 3rd one she never did get to but she suggested 4 or 5 others and then decided she had to go over some of them 2 or 3 times. Apparently, she charged for each time because suddenly my bill was in a whole new category. I was shocked by the bill and not satisfied with the service. Neither she nor her office would return any of my several phone calls to discuss the matter.

BEWARE!!! This doctor does not accept insurance. She will charge for a full doctors visit and then fill out paperwork to get your money back. Insurance companies do not pay doctors a lot of money so you will be stuck paying more than you should. How do I know? I m in the medical field business..

I should have read the Unilocal reviews before making an appointment. When I made the appointment, I was required to give a credit card number so they could charge me if I didn’t show. I arrived right on time at the appointed hour of 3:30 pm. After forty minutes in the waiting room(4:10 pm), the receptionist ushered me into an examination room and asked some questions about the condition I wanted the doctor to look at. She then told me that Dr. Winfield would be right in. Twenty five minutes later(4:35 pm), and now late for another appointment Dr. Winfield had still not shown up. I left. Dr. Winfield was then in the reception area talking to a couple members of her staff. This morning, I had a voice mail message from the receptionist apologizing and saying that there had been a mix-up — Dr. Winfield thought my appointment was for 4:00 pm! So thirty-five minutes wait is acceptable? Since other reviews report waits exceeding an hour, can Dr. Winfield’s office management practices be explained as anything other than arrogance toward her patients?

Dr. Winfield is super awesome! She greeted me with a smile and listened to my concerns about moles, blemishes, and even music. She was able to attend to my needs right there in the office at the drop of a hat, and I felt she gave me her full attention the entire time she was with me. I could go on about the details of the visit, but that would be strange. While I was waiting for the appointment to begin, I found the office to be quite calming with plenty of reading material to distract me until it was my turn. Also, the receptionist was friendly, helpful and courteous, both in person and over the phone while I scheduled my visit. All I know is, Dr. Winfield and her staff are a breath of fresh air compared to my last dermatologist, who tended to have rude, impersonal staff, and the kicker of it all is they’ve known me since I was a kid! And no, I wasn’t a bad kid. Dr. Winfield is the exact 180 and it was my first visit. She didn’t even know me, but by the time I left her office I felt like asking her to be the godmother to my unborn child. Just goes to show, there still are good people AND good doctors out there.

Dr. Winfield is as good as it gets. She is highly skilled, professional and without question the most thorough doctor I have ever known. She takes the time necessary to do the job right. You are not hurried in and then hurried out, as is often the case these days. For the other reviewer who complained of waiting too long with no one else in the room, I can only imagine that Dr. Winfield was treating one or more of her patients in the exam rooms with the attention to detail that makes her special. For a common rash or rare skin disease and for everything in between, Dr. Winfield is an excellent choice.

The pluses: Dr. Julie Winfield’s office is immaculate and brand new, located in the Corte Madera Town Center. Location is very convenient, right off the highway and in the shopping center, so parking is a piece of cake. Dr. Winfield seems very practical and somewhat conservative in her approach(i.e., she doesn’t go crazy prescribing unnecessary treatments and prescriptions) and seems to be knowledgeable. Her staff is very courteous and returns calls in a timely manner. The BIG minus: I’ve been in her office three times in the past two months, and all three times I had to wait at least an hour to see her. It was EXTREMELY irritating, considering I was the only one in the waiting room all three times. When I got in to see her. finally… she offered no apologies or reasons for her extreme tardiness. I’m the type of person that likes to give someone the benefit of the doubt, hence the three visits. After the third visit, I vowed to find another dermatologist who respects my time as much as I respect his/hers.
