J.Crew Corte Madera

Very poor customer service. I was so disappointed by the not unmotivated staff. I asked a young woman for help with a size in a shirt I really liked, and she said «what you see on the table is all we have», and walked away. Next step for good service would be to recommend something else, or let me know she’ll be right back with me if she’s busy with another customer. But, she could have cared less. More to the story — my husband and I were out shopping for outfits for a formal event we have coming up in the new year. Long story short he bought an expensive suit which needed to be tailored because they didn’t have his pant size. The guy that was helping us said no problem, and that it should be ready by this weekend. We called (moments ago) and come to find out they haven’t gone out to the tailor yet. It’ll be another week, a day too late to wear to our event. Wtf just get you s. t together J-​wreck!!! People spend good hard earned money here!

Steve was the absolute best! It was Friday night, and I had been running around all day trying to find the perfect skirt to wear the next night. I called J. Crew to let them know that I was on the way, but going to miss their 8pm close time by just 5 minutes. He kept a register open just for me, and greeted me with a smile on his face. If this isn’t stellar customer service, I don’t know what is!

After reading a few of the reviews below I am sad to say I too have had a horrible experience at this Jcrew location. My friend and I visited this location around 2pm today with hopes of getting some holiday shopping done. There was an employee right up front when we walked in but no greeting was offered. We passed the cashwrap where two other employees were standing, no greeting either. Nobody was being rung up and there were very few customers in the store. My friend and I started browsing the denim shop and an employee walked right by us as we were checking out the collection. Not a word from her too! As we passed through to the crewcuts area an employee was too busy steaming an outfit on a body form to acknowledge us. Her mind must be too focused on Holiday Rollout. As we continued to browse we got the feeling we were wasting our time in store that didn’t deserve our business. The nail in the coffin was when we recognized a young man that used to work at the Jcrew in Emeryville. He was coming through with a cart of product and said in a rude tone «excuse me». Not «Are you guys doing ok?» He acted as if we were in his way. We had enough and headed for the doors. An older Asian lady was up front folding girls cardigans. As we were close to the door I stopped, turned and I SAID TO HER «thank you!». She hesitated, paused, and barely squeezed out a smile. She was mute! No words, just a barely there smile! I’ve gotten better service at your Napa factory location! It’s true, this location is full of snobby mute employees. If I were a secret shopper they would have failed in all categories! Worst Jcrew in the Bay Area!

I don’t know why so many 1 star ratings. I have always had very friendly and helpful service at this store (Marin). I have taken returns in from online orders and they were fine with me doing so. My only complaint is they don’t always have everything in the store that they feature in the catalog and it’s disappointing. I did see something I wanted and the customer service lady had it sent to me so all good. I’ll be back and soon.

If you need anything to do with suits, go see Jeff. I had a five-​star customer service experience with him!

This JCrew location is the WORST store in terms of customer service. They barely can utter the word «Hello» much less «Could I help you with something?». It’s pathetic, as is the average age of 50 for their sales associates. You’d think you just walked into Bergdorf’s given the attitude yet it’s JCrew … in Marin … with little to no collection pieces. The only reason I visit this location is to do my returns, which they absolutely cannot stand. So I love it.

OMG employees at J Crew Corte Madera… get over yourselves! You’re glorified store clerks, no biggie. Learn how to treat people with kindness, respect, and dignity. It may pay off someday! My 17 year old daughter applied for a job, and the employees were rude and disrespectful. They basically laughed in her face, as she didn’t have any experience besides her 100s and 100s of hours of volunteering in nursing homes, preschools, church, camps, feeding the homeless etc. We all start at the bottom, work our way up. Some heads should roll in that store!

I was there on Sunday July 7^th at 11AM. let me preface this by saying that I’m Asian. Once my family and I entered the store, nobody greeted us despite the sales associates not being inundated by any customers. Right after we entered, the sales associates immediately greeted the white couple behind us and asked them if they needed something. I find that having poor customer services skills that border on being racist won’t get your business very far. The J Crew corporate office will be getting a separate letter regarding this.

I have had great experiences in this store. The staff and the managers have gone above and beyond to be helpful and all with a sense of humor.

Cute clothes, but you could get them online, and I would suggest that over going into this store. I walked in and the salespeople looked at me but said nothing, and didn’t smile. I browsed the accessories and saw a nail polish that had obviously been opened, so I thought I would try some on. Apparently that was a big mistake because I heard them scoffing at me from behind the counter and laughing to themselves. So I pretended not to hear them and kept using the nail polish, while one of them came over to me and said very condescendingly with a smile, «those aren’t testers.» and then laughed a little and walked back to stand behind the counter. I have gone there since then but that one experience caused me to realize that almost everyone that works there is completely rude and no one offers help unless you ask for it but then you have to deal with the attitude! Horrible management and service. If I could give them a zero, I would.

Talk about ‘tude. I went in to see if they had the tall boots I had seen on their website. I saw them in the store in black and asked the salesperson
‘do you have these in the tan color I saw on your website?‘
A nasty ‘NO’.
No explanation, no sorry, we sold out or we are getting some in.
I walked out.
