YUMMMMM!!! Best Salads & Sandwhiches in Corpus with a priceless view of the water. Gorgeous contemporary décor, wonderful ambiance, super friendly wait staff & very clean. They also have delicious coffee & desserts. There is nothing like it in Corpus! Make a day of visiting the musuem & having lunch!

The Dobson Café is located inside the newer wing of the Art Museum and has been there for a full year.
It is only open for lunch but you MUST try it. It is absolutely delicious and has the most beautiful views of the lexington and the bay. Gorgeous place. Beautiful service, flatware, plates, view — everything was perfect.
They have a small but varied selection of sandwiches and salads that are all spot on and reasonably priced. I tried the grilled portabello mushroom sandwich with grilled red peppers, pesto and fontina cheese. So delicious, deceptively filling! I had my choice of pasta salad, chips, fruit and side garden salad. I opted for the garden salad which had lovely fresh mixed bitter greens, carrots, red onion, tomatoes. Quite a basic salad but it was so refreshing and the tangerine vinaigrettes I selected was so unique and great. Their best item though was their soup of the day which was a potato soup — so good. Do not skip.
I also tried their café desert which was a ¹⁄₃ portion of their chocolate cake and their coffee — I was extremely satisfied and could not imagine actually finishing an ENTIRE serving of their cake, it was delicious and chocolaty and moist. Their coffee was good, if not a little weak but it had no bitterness to it at all.
