Our Restaurant specialize’s in Our delicious enchiladas made fresh daily, Our enchiladas are made in a special enchilada sauce, diping the tortilla in the sauce until it gets soft and then we cover with our fresh and home made chile con carne and the easy melt american cheese, mmm how delicious! Our fajitas are tenderized and condimented in our kitchen, and let me talk about our chalupas made in our kitchen by hand and dip frying in canola oil. Just to tell you a little about our kitchen and our food.

Our unique style of cooking authentic Mexican food was one that all family members loved and appreciated, and one we knew others as well.
Santiago’s sarted in 1988 (formely Gerardos Restaurant) in Mathis. Santiago’s Restaurant is well known for it’s made-from-scratch chalupa shell, it’s unique dinner roll and it’s ever-popular top seller, the enchilada. The restaurant reputation surpasses that any restaurant it’s size by extending beyond the Coastal Bend.

In 1988 formely Gerardos Restaurant stared, in Mathis. Owned by the Martinez Family. I star working for the family and several years leater I take over the Restaurant with the name of Santiago’s of Mathis. I learn the cooking and how to run the Restaurant and I been have great experince. Thank You to all ours costumers and friends to suport us.
