Rebecca was wonderful to work with. I just sent pictures and then we discussed a few personalized touches and voilà the most beautiful wedding cake I’ve ever seen… and it was mine!

It was a cute bakery. I came here with one of my older sisters because she ordered a cake for my nephew’s graduation/​finishing up his phlebotomy class from Coastal Bend College in Beeville. It’s was a small little party. The cake had painted pictures of needles and blood. It wasn’t as graphic as it may sound, it actually was cute and cartoonish. I had never been to this place and my sister said we had to come down all the way from Beeville to get the cake here. Of course in my mind, I’m thinking, we have bakeries in Beeville. Why drive all the way down to Corpus Christi to get a cake? That was my thought. But honestly, I’m glad she drove me down with her, because I got to check out a really cute bakery. I bought additional gingerbread cookies (which I love), and thought they were the best. I would defiantly come back here again. The drive from Beeville and few extra gas dollars was well worth it.

Excellent Service and a very delicious cake! I called them 9 am needing a cake at the last minute and was able to get it delivered by 11 am. They are top notch on appearance and service! Delivery driver was super nice and professional.

I love this place. Been a customer since I was a kid in middle school. I love their pastries. The cakes are to die for!!! Their decorating skills are amazing! Never disappointed with what I order. The glazed shortbread cookies are my favorite thing in the world! It is a bit hot in there at times. But well worth it.

We’ve been customers since the late 1990’s and not once have they disappointed us. We had our wedding cake made with them as well as more birthday and special event cakes than I can remember. Even our special requests are taken care of. They also have a variety of fresh baked cookies that are to die for. This year we’re trying their fruit cake along with the usual Christmas cookies. They made a Yule Log for us one year. Yep. That was good, too. The owners Pat and Janet are wonderful people with good hearts, which shines through in their baked goods.
I love the smell when I walk in there. It takes me back to my childhood and the old fashioned bakery my momma would take me to for my favorite treat, a gingerbread man. But it’s the cakes — so light and delicious with that scratch made butter cream icing — that keeps us coming back all these years. Oh yum!

First, let me start by saying I used to love this place. I bought my wedding cake and many other cakes for other occasions over the years. We decided to order cup cakes for my nephew’s birthday last weekend. When I called to order, I ordered chocolate cup cakes and told the person the party was on Sunday to which they replied they were closed Sunday and we would have to pick them up Saturday before 5. We planned our whole day around picking up these cup cakes on time and when we got there the cup cakes were vanilla. We explained we ordered chocolate and also noticed they are open Sunday and later Saturday than we were told. The lady apologized and said she would fix this and to come back Sunday. We came back Sunday on our way to the party and these cup cakes were HORRIBLE! They tasted like they were a week old! So very disappointed and we will NEVER buy from there again and neither will any of our party goers. So sad because Janet’s used to be the best in my opinion.

Working in the event decorating business for many years I’ve had the opportunity to work with many people in charge of entertaining party guests. Working «backstage» of big wedding productions, you get to experience and witness their job performance, attitude, how well they handle stress and so on…
I’ve heard many good reviews about Janet’s Cakery from clients and friends and wedding cakes are they’re speciality. So, today I decided to give them a visit to try their mastery. As soon as I walked I noticed a few people cake shopping and also witness a meeting for a wedding cake, which to me it was a good sign and just enhance my shopping experience, although there are no prices listed for any of their cookies, cupcakes, etc. not very long after browsing around for a few minutes, a really nice lady helped me with prices and showed me many options of cookies. I tried the plain chocolate chip cookies and was very satisfied with the flavor and the consistency (I always prefer soft cookies over crunchy which are also delicious) all freshly made. I’ve had their cake before and both bread and decoration are impeccable. To me it’s just very impressive how every single item that’s is made, has the same homemade taste every time.
Overall experience was very satisfying, the employees are very friendly (they make delicious cakes for a living, why wouldn’t they be happy…), and there’s hardly any wait. The organization of the store could use some improvement, they have a lot of unused space where they can be displaying more cakes, they also need better window displays and a little more creativity with the store decoration and placement of what they’re trying to sell as well as the price issue. It’s also a little hot but it’s a bakery the whole place is an oven…

I always get my cakes from Janet’s. I have not had any problems with them. They are always on top of their game and have delicious cakes.

I SOOOOO love Unilocal!!!In Corpus for work. Important meeting with client… before noon. Read somewhere if you’re trying to butter someone up, take pastries. Thus, I do a Unilocal search and Janet’s is the highest ranking place in the area. So, off I go…
Where to start?! The smell if freshly baked yummiest permeates the air. The selection is ahhhhhhmazzzzing! They even have Pineapple Upside Down Cake?!
I got the Petite Fours ~ which were a steal?! .and beautiful. Didn’t taste them but I had this Caramel, Nut Brownie that was to die for!!!

We ordered a small German chocolate cake for a special occasion. I called in the order about a month before the event. On the day I drove to pick it up, I started getting a little worried they might forget my order because I had been too busy to call and touch base with them the week of the event. But no need to fear, my little cake was there and not only was it beautiful but also oh so delicious and moist! It received rave reviews from everyone, even the pickiest «taste tester» of the group. I was absolutely pleased with the cake *and* the price. I highly recommend this bakery!

Really yummy cake, delicious icing, excellent service and delivery — what more could you want! I arranged, from Dallas, for a full sheet cake for my son celebrating his 16^th birthday on a school trip to Corpus Christi. My e-​mail inquiry was answered quickly with a phone call follow-​up for clarity. The cake was delivered to the hotel on time, and was just what I wanted. They did a great job. I heard rave reviews from the kids and adults about how good it was.

The cupcakes were AMAZING — the best I’ve had in a LONG time.

The only bakery in corpus that knew who veggietales were and could do the cake for my daughters 1^st birthday. Did the adult cake perfectly and even put «bob» on the baby cake. Did a wonderful job… will order from them again and again!
