Not the cheapest bait in town, but if you get into town late, are headed to Baffin Bay, AND need some croakers that will make the trip — this is the place to stop! They are located in the middle of the JFK Memorial Causeway(S. Padre Island Drive) which is btw Corpus and Mustand Island. They also have lots of pier fishing($ 2 per person) and 2 covered cleaning stations(with water). The croakers here good sized, cost $ 9 dozen… but they also give you this cool ‘blue salt water’ that will keep them alive in your live well for the duration of the trip to paradise. After all, what good is it to save a few bucks and have a boat-load dead fish on your hands? Ex-act-ly!
