Came here for a retirement ceremony on Friday, 24 JUL. Nicely decorated with a lot of great memorabilia. Love the model planes hanging from the overhead. The room where the ceremony was held was really nice. A good number of ceiling fans, so it was nice and cool inside. There is a nice courtyard off to the side and lots of windows in the bar. Will definitely stop by here again when in Coronado!

Not serving food all the time, but always serving Veterans with a welcome home spirit.

Great friendly people! We will come back for sure. We were greeted immediately and seved our drinks wth a smile. When they found out it was our 1st visit the gave us a pin fom the post in appreiation. We had great conversations with the members there and we were invited back for their Sunday night steak dinner. Based on ou visit, we decided to come back for the dinner and we were not diappointed! Nice thick rib-​eye steak with a large baked potato, salad and all the fixings. The hav a nice dining room but we wanted to sit oustide on the patio to enoy the perfect weather. Great food, drinks & people!

Had a party here for the officers of the USS RONALD REAGAN. Connie and the staff were amazing. Great venue. Very intimate with a great vibe. Everybody loved it and we’ll be back. Thanks for all you do for us and for our veterans. Thanks.

This place is a gem. Perfectly placed in Coronado. If you want to go have a drink with the warriors that keep our country free this is the place. A real all American outpost of liberty good food and cheap drinks.

The VFW, or «The V» as we call it, is a great place to go for a good, cheap drink. Nothing fancy here, and not just anyone can get in. Luckily, I was sponsored by a vetran so I can go whenever I want! There are absolutely no frills. The people are good and kindhearted and did I mention the drinks are cheap?! I love The V.

They have a Fish Fry night, steak night and do great BBQ (smoked onsite pulled pork). The post is open to the public for food, but if you want an alcoholic drink you need to be a member or be signed in by one. I’m not military, but my dad was and I joined via him. It’s $ 25 bucks a year, and since they are the cheapest food and drink on Coronado, I figure it is well worth my time both here and in nearly every city in America.
If you are up for a family friendly, relaxing place with entertaining conversations, you should stop by sometime, it’s non commercial and not a silly national chain… it’s real and it’s local.
