We are so fortunate to have found Kory Kavanawsky and his team! They are definitely a 5 star (though I’d give more if I could) company! My wife and I are first time home buyers so we wanted someone we could trust since we were in new territory.
Right off the bat we could see why Kory was so highly recommended and by so many people. He has been our go to guy for this entire process. He is extremely knowledgeable and prompt… but most importantly, he is trustworthy and reliable. The attention we get from Kory and his team make us feel like we’re his only customers. I don’t normally write reviews, but this company blew me away! If I could give Kory Kavanawsky and his team 100 stars, I would! My husband and I are first time home buyers and so the entire purchasing process seemed overwhelming to us. Due to all the unknowns and our inexperience in this area, it was important for us to find a Broker who we trusted.
Kory was highly recommended to us by numerous people, and rightfully so. He has been a lifesaver! He is extremely knowledgable and trustworthy. He is prompt in responding to all our calls and emails and makes us feel like we’re his only customers. We would be lost in this whole process without him! I cosigned a home mortgage loan for my son December 2014. Every mortgage company I have dealt with in the past always sent the notary to my house and took care of the shipping of papers. Also there were never any additional expenses after paying the closing costs. One week after the Coronado office received the final paperwork I received an email and a call from the branch manager (Kory) and was informed I had less than 2 hours to find a notary. and ship the emailed documents. after completing these tasks at my own expense I was informed I would not be reimbursed. In fact I was told I was lucky I didn’t have to pay three times as much. I do not recall being informed by this company there would be additional expenses after paying the closing costs.
In addition, 5 off the documents they asked me to sign had obvious errors (misspelled names and incorrect addresses) that required 2 iterations to fix.
Although they could have initially done a better job explaining the unusual circumstances associated with this transaction, CMG reimbursed me for the additional charges I incurred.

Wow!!! If i could give Kory and his team more than 5 stars we would! My husband and I were first time home buyers and kept hearing all these horror stories about how difficult and a pain in the butt everything was with paperwork, getting everything together, losing escrow because it took so long, etc. I must say we have a lot of friends who are extremely jealous of us right now! It was one of the easiest processes for us. Kory and his team took such good care to make sure everything was in place and it all went through without a hitch. He contacted us frequently to update us on how the process was going and continues now, months after we closed, to make sure we have everything we need. I would recommend them to anyone trying to buy a home. His dedication to his customers speaks for itself. We couldn’t be happier!

You know how you often wonder «what ever happened to customer service?» Well it’s right there at CMG in Coronado. Kory and his team go above and beyond to find the best rate and beat the rest. They also seem to specialize in «patience» as I know I must have tried theirs! Years ago we went with another shop and we’re so glad we went with CMG this time around. Do yourself a favor and at least check CMG and see what they can do before you go somewhere else, you won’t be disappointed.

Kory hit the ground running and even though there were many hurdles to face– he made it happen. He and his team are tireless workers and are always very pleasant. Kory and the team at CMG have now helped me with refinancing twice, both refinances completed as expected on time with no surprise costs. I have worked with other brokers before and can’t tell you how stressful things can get when issues arise and the broker fails to handle them gracefully. Though both of my refinances with CMG had unexpected issues arise, Kory and the CMG team took care of them in stride leaving me with little stress and no change in timeline or costs.
