Waterstone at Corona Pointe

Honestly the only good thing about living here is the pricing the staffing in the leasing office is the worst out there. Having a leasing office manager who speaks down to residents as well as yelling at them is just appalling! Lisa is an awful Watson to be managing anything she needs to be working in a position where there is no customer service necessary… and the office staff never know what they are talking about and have no etiquette on the phone or in person! The only person who exceeds customer service and is always a pleasure is Damion the onsite maintenance person! Everyone else is terrible and honestly make living here so unenjoyable when you have to deal with them. They should completely restaff the entire Lessing office with people suitable and educated on how to manage a leasing community and environment.

I would think twice before living here.

I LOVE Waterstone! My experience has been exactly what I thought it would be. Great! The unit I chose is nice and quiet. I especially love the layout of my apartment. It is exactly as the model unit. It was easy to decorate. Laura was the representative who moved me in, she is very personable and sweet. She offered great customer service! I applaud that, as it is not the norm these days. I was able to meet the maintenance crew, my apartment needed a few minor touch-​ups. They were very pleasant and professional. Mike, the Maintenance Mgr. is super nice and professional! Thank you Waterstone for a great place to live! You get my 5 stars!

I wrote a great review too soon! This place was good the first 6 months living here then I started noticing more trash around here, even some I have picked up because I don’t want area to look bad, and more and more people not cleaning up their dog’s poop! I have also noticed roaches here around the building and have had to combat some that got into my own place! the roaches near the dumpster are huge! They charge a lot for every little thing and my rent for new lease was just increased to minimum $ 80.00 with 14 month lease. When I asked for larger month lease to reduce monthly, I was told max is 15 and they don’t know if they can help and that some get an increase of $ 200.00 here so I should be grateful! I’m a single mom juggling it all so $ 80 is a huge increase. You have to pay roughly $ 90 every month for water, sewer, trash based on your building so while there’s only myself and my two small boys the people above me have many living there, increasing costs. They do nothing about the noise when complaints made or when upstairs people had been throwing old beer cans and coke cans and trash onto my patio as well as brown liquid pouring down. You can’t trust any packages being delivered here or mail as I have gotten others mail and had to deliver it myself but worry someone may not do same for me so i have packages sent to a friend nearby. You have to replace light bulbs and filters yourself as they don’t do much. There are often teens jumping the pool fence all hours of the night in the summer time making noise and cursing at people as they walk by. I used to love it here and while it’s not as bad as it was at my old place I am really disappointed in how much it has gone downhill in just the 13 months I have been here and all the costs! They charge $ 50 if your garbage disposal breaks, $ 50 if you don’t turn in this little paper guest pass when you move out, $ 50 if you don’t turn in the white rubber bracelet you have to wear when at the pool. They were giving a 3 day grace period on rent so I’ve been paying on the 3^rd as my ex is always late on his child support and now they say no grace period and additional $ 75 if late! The gate is often broken and they did allow for two cars per apt and now only allow one and I drive a work vehicle for my job and need both vehicles! Management is rude aside from one male, Reuben, that I’ve spoken to when I’ve called about finding Someone’s mail and wanting to return to rightful owner. Reuben I’ve spoken with about other things and he is the one to go to if you want someone to at least respect you here and be kind and be professional at the same time! The others could care less!

Management is non-​responsive, place has infestation problems that they ignore even after the issue is brought up, all appliances are constantly breaking down, parking can be bothersome at times. Only positive is that maintenance is fairly quick to resolve problems. I would look elsewhere first. Won’t be renewing my lease.

Management is rude, they do not care about the residents or the property. Roaches everywhere and the manager has a nasty attitude. Find somewhere else because the cost of rent here can definitely buy something WAYYY nicer

PLEASE STAY AWAY!!! This is a nasty unsafe and terrible place to live in! Management is not helpful and don’t care about the residents, people are smoking joints and drinking by the benches, cars get broken into, there are HUGE amount of cockroaches! Do not live here!!!

from the out side looking in is the story here. lets start with this place is very dirty beer bottles all over the place condoms wrappers in the jacuzzi area young hood kids smoking weed on and off of the property the up stairs neighbor above us stays up all hours of the night. we had made several calls to the front desk people about them making noise all hours of the night and yet nothing done at all. people let there dogs poop all over the place with out picking up what was left on other peoples lawns which is very rude and disgusting. i have seen The maintenance crew drinking beer while working here and cleaing the barbecue grills. they allow non waterstone residence to park here at anytime as well as come in and out the complex. they give you Waterstone stickers to prove your residence but ive walked by and noticed up to 11 cars not even belonging to waterstone. im happy to say in 6 more months left to get out of this place soon. if your reading this please dont make the mistake like we did and moved into here. RUN and dont look back. ps i will inclose a email i have made just to get feed back from any questions from the public or waterstone if waterstone dont flag this post

It’s a nice community, pet friendly and great location! The staff are friendly and helpful. Maintenance is fast. There is always empty parking spots.

Well I would like to correct my review. Talking with the manager face to face made a big difference. There are some rude people in the office and however the manager wanted to know about them so that she can change their behaviors.
We went through all the maintenance issues and found that they were very responsive.
This is a safe gated place to live in and I have lived here for two years exactly.

staff is courteous. Had some issues at move in that were never resolved by management. People parking in areas designated for another purpose has been a problem. For eOMG the lizard just came out of nowhere
xample, parking in car was area or in the green zone near mailboxes.

Overall I’m pretty happy with our new home here at Waterstone. It’s a nice community, pet friendly and great location! The staff have all been super friendly and helpful. I feel like I made the best choice by choosing this community.

I was initially happy but after getting my car broken in and nobody giving a rats ass about it don’t move here my car was broken into in broad daylight 10:00 AM my neighbor’s car was broken into a month ago during the daytime as well there’s no point on paying such a high rent if we don’t even feel safe they said there’s security but I always see them smoking in the corner

Update: when you leave be careful because we super cleaned all apartment and gave them the keys then they mailed us a small portion of our deposit and deducting things that we marked wrong or broken when we signed up so i had to call back and have them review it. They also deducted money for every little thing like the guest parking pass missing… we used it for our guest because you have to wright info on the pass, then the manager was so rude and angry, they also lost our locks to the garage so i made them give me two other ones. Overall she seemed mad or upset maybe because we were leaving i don’t know. My following comments are before we checked out and true while a resident.
I don’t agree with the negative comments about this property, in the contrary, I love the location it’s very close to freeway and all the things you need to shop, Sam’s Club, 24 hours Walmart, post office, grocery stores… The apartment building and the neighborhood is very clean, it feels like a luxury home. The office staff are friendly, they have never been rude and anytime you go to them they always solve your problem right away. I have never had a problem with parking, we always find space plus we also have a garage unit that I’m able to keep all my extra items in there and their fees are much cheaper than the actual storage unit down the street. I feel really safe because I walk my dogs during the day and late at night. We have a very nice exercise room with updated equipment, we have a computer room that we could use the computer and print, recently they also added it Zumba class for free, and we have a very nice swimming pool. Even though I hardly have time to use the amenity but it’s nice to have it at your home with no extra cost, i actually used to pay a gym membership so I wind up canceling it and I use our own gym a few times which I really liked it. Maintenance is very polite and they always attend to your concerns right away. I love the fact that we have a washer and dryer inside the unit because it makes my life hundred percent easier. The machines are bit smaller than average one for your house but it does the job and I’m able to wash large loads. The ONLY problem that our apartment is having are cockroaches… They have treated our apartment three times, and they keep coming back. I hope that one day the apartment is able to find a solution for this problem. I love Waterstone Apartments and I would recommend it to others.

Seriously go look somewhere else to live especially for the money they charge for rent. Where to start… The grounds are old and out dated. There is never parking near or around your apartment passed 7pm. If you pay for a garage (which is the biggest rip off) you can’t park your car because it’s WAY to small. Even the regular parking spaces are way too small! I had my car keyed because the only parking space around was super narrow between a garage and someone else. Apparently I parked too close to the other person because when I went to my car the next day it had been keyed… Tells you a lot for the people who live there!
You can hear EVERYTHING through the walls. Arguments, phone calls, when the neighbor phone vibrates, sex, TV, babies, neighbors using the bathroom… You name it; you will be able to hear it. The landscapers will start at 8am in the morning 2 days a week and blow dirt and dust all over your car with absolutely no regard. Because there is so much outdated foliage, the spiders are out of control! Black and brown widows everywhere. Not to mention the possums and stray cats that troll around. Disgusting.
Do yourself a huge favor and go somewhere else!

Communication b/​w office & residents has improved greatly which is nice. Multiple payment options. Security is ok; hard to get a hold of them when needed. Some neighbors are loud and smoke a lot (cigarettes, weed, etc.) but that isn’t management’s fault. Otherwise not a bad place to live. Great location.

Three things I LOVE about the Waterstone Appartments, The scenery is BEAUTIFUL. I love the feel of being in the mountains. At Waterstone the pine trees and all of the greenery give it that amazing feel. Second, the landscaping and maintenance are always kept up. The apartment units are well maintained by the maintenance crew. If something needs fixed you can always expect that it get taken care of in a timely manner. Last, the managing staff, Lisa K. and leasing agents are always so kind and willing to work with the tenants.
The problem is, when living in an apartment complex you are living amongst all kinds of people with all types of backgrounds. Some people like me, take pride in their home. I like a clean home and an attractive surrounding environment. I also believe in courtesy to others therefore I am always conscious of my actions outside the apartment. Other tenants may have lower living standards and or values and may tend to destroy their living space and lack courtesy to others. Well, they won’t last here because the managing staff will be sure this environment stay in tip top shape.
This is a gated community and I have seen the maintenance men work on the gates time and time again. There would not be a problem if people would not bump them with their cars or climb them. Also, I really like the fact that this complex has security guards that patrol. This make me feel SAFE. If there is a problem, all it takes is one phone call and the security guards are on it fast. They are fair to.
THE POOLS ARE AWESOME!!! They are maintenance d weekly. There are so many apartment complexes that do not fix what’s broken and let the pools go. Not this place. They are so nice and always kept clean. I can always look forward to a perfect summer in the pool.
They are not about taking your money. When I first moved in, Laura S. my leasing agent really LISTENED TO MY NEEDS. She knew I was a single mom and found me a unit that was a great fit for me. I have great neighbors and my child has made great friends. Kudos to Laura.
I recomend renting from the Waterstone.

My boyfriend and I have lived here for almost 6 months and we absolutely hate it. It looks great outside, HOWEVER, inside is pretty bad. The washer and dryer look like they were made in the 70s and operate extremely loud. It takes two cycles to dry your clothes completely even on small loads. On top of that the air conditioner still contains mercury and cools but doesn’t heat and you can’t leave it on at night because it’s so loud. The ac has a draining unit that drains directly into the shower so if you’re taking a shower and the ac is on expect to feel ice cold water dripping on your back. None of the doors close properly so if you want to use the restroom without the door flying open you have to lock it. There is absolutely no storage space anywhere in the apartment. The door on the medicine cabinet doesn’t close so it’s constantly open.
Now on to the maintenance:
My first encounter with maintenance was on my very first day here. The lady did a walk through with us to show us that the carpets and appliances were clean. When she left she finally closed the door behind her and I saw a huge hole in the wall where the doorknob on the front door punctured the wall. I called the office and told her that there was a hole and to please document it so we wouldn’t get charged and to please come put a plate over it because the doorstop was broken. She said that she would send someone out right away. Three weeks an two work orders later and I am still staring at a giant hole in my wall. The next day my closet light went out and as it is an apartment fixture they are responsible for the lights.
I called again told the lady at the office that the lights were out and also no one had come by to fix the hole. She apologized and said she’d have someone take care of it.
A week later I told my boyfriend to go buy light bulbs so I can see my freaking clothes and he replaced the bulb. I called one more time and they finally came out and fixed the hole after 5 weeks.
Then my washer stopped working. I called and told the lady in the office to please have someone come fix it and to please not take 5 weeks. She told me oh no it’ll only take a week! A week!?! Really!?!
Once again my boyfriend who is a maintenance worker fixed it because after a week no one had come out to fix it.
Next my water heater went out. They keep the water heater next to the washer and dryer outside and the water heater leaked so that closely was flooded. I called and told them to come out and fix it she said she would have someone there in a few days. That’s when I got mad! I said no, you guys are legally responsible for providing us with a comfortable and healthy living space. One thing that is required by law is that you prove heated water. If you dot get someone down here today to replace or fix it you guys can expect my notice of departure and a call from my lawyer.
Guess what?!? They came out that day to fix it.
Now on to the office.
For the first 3 months I received no bill for utilities so I had to call in to get the total amount owed… our rent went from 954 the first month to 1024 the second month from 1009 that we signed our lease for. Every time I called they had amounts ranging from 954 to 1100 but they never actually sent a bill. When I called Terry would inevitably answer and she just loves to get an attitude. She sighs loudly interrupts me when I’m talking an hangs up before even saying goodbye. But boy to I just love to see her and her other Real Housewives of Corona co-​stars lounging about the pool being loud and obnoxious.
When we first moved in our gate opener didn’t work I asked to get it replaced and the lady said no. A month later I said that this is ridiculous I have to wait for someone else to drive up before I can open the gate and go home so they finally replaced it. And immediately after that the gate stopped working. Apparently one of the tennants ran into it and pulled it off the tracks. The gate works now two months later but they rarely ever close it so anyone can just walk right in.
I guess I got fairly lucky with my neighbors though because the ones I’ve met have been pretty nice. But the walls are so damn thin I can hear everything from the neighbor next door talking about his legal troubles for hours at a time to the neighbors upstairs having sex! The ceiling is so thin I can even hear the guy upstairs snoring.
The windows in the master bedroom face he parking lot and the blinds don’t close all the way so we had to change in the closet or bathroom until we bought curtains.
Oh did I mention that we came home one night and found that the cover on the ceiling in the bathroom that leads up to the ac vents was removed with no notice of entry from staff?
Overall this place is awful! Half the time my key doesn’t even work in the lock! DO NOT MOVE HERE! Ever!

This place is still the same. So I shall keep my previous review but I had to lower it another star since I think a person in management messaged me to as to why I wrote this review if I didn’t live here… who cares!!!(It was the woman with the five star review on here) I don’t live at the restaurants I eat and I still write reviews for them… well anyways, my previous review still stands:
I visit my cousins here often and I haven’t heard good things about this place. 1) Security does not do their job since cars get stolen here and vandalized 2) there are rowdy neighbors 3) maintenance take a long time to come fix things 4) management can be rude at times 5) there isn’t proper drainage such as permeable surfaces and as a result in times of heavy rain, apartments get flooded.
