Tilly’s Tacos is a Corona neighborhood restaurant that dishes out fresh, fast and affordable Mexican cuisine with a taste and quality that stands for what we believe in. We have all the dishes you want including Tacos, Burritos, Tostadas, Nachos, Quesadillas, Taquitos, Tamales and more. We prepare all our dishes from scratch including our 7 different homemade salsas and our mouth watering guacamole. On the go? Order Take-​out and pick it up at Tilly’s.

History

Established in 2015.

We are a new restaurant in Corona, but our recipes originated from our Grandma Tilly. We got together on Sundays at Tilly’s home to eat her fresh made guacamole, salsas and different mexican dishes. Our favorite dish of all was her Chile Colorado which she spent 2 days preparing. She would simmer the sauce for hours on the stove which was in the air when we pulled up in front of the house. She made a huge pot for us to eat there and take home. And, she even made extra to keep the neighbors happy. Sometimes she would make deep fried foods like flautas. She also insisted on making crispy fried tacos instead of the soft tacos she was raised on near Mexico City, Mexico. She liked the taste better. We did too. On holidays we got together and made all kinds of tamales and shared them until we couldn’t eat anymore. If you come to our restaurant you can taste some of the dishes that made our Grandma Tilly famous to our family.

The food is really really good. Best super nachos I’ve ever had. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is because I can’t give it a full 5 for just trying the super nachos. next time I try something else I will update it lol

First time here. Small place, but clean and friendly. The carne asada burrito was full of meat and salsa. It was juicy and had a great flavor. I had it with no beans and no onions. I originally ordered it that way, but it came with it. They apologized and quickly made me a new one, and apologized again. The taquitos had plenty of cheese and were very crispy. Hubby said guacamole was good. He had the chicken burrito. His only complaint was it seemed to lack in chicken. Maybe it was hidden in the beans? Too many beans in it. The chips were crispy, some really salty, others great. Loved the roasted salsa, very flavorful, truly mild, and a great roasted flavor prevailed. The tomatillo sauce was good too. The churro was moist in the middle and crunchy on the outside. Very tasty and not too sweet. The guy did come by and clear our trash as needed, and brought us a bag to take home stuff. We will definitely return. Thank you «Coronageddon» and Unilocal for introducing us to this great place. We were going to another one across the street, but there was no parking, and Unilocal guided us here. We did have to ask for salsa cups, the tables to be wiped down, and for napkins, and there was only 1 couple in here, so I would give it a 4.5 stars rating, but that’s not available, so I will mark it 4 stars.

Food is great as is the salsa bar! Also the chips they serve are delicious and flaky, as are the hard taco shells. I didn’t expect this but the burritos have become my favorite item, so delicious. I do wish the tacos were 1.99 — 2.29 doesn’t seem like much more, but that is nearly $ 8 for 3 tacos after tax. Just doesn’t seem worth it. 4 stars is still great though and I’m happy to keep coming back.

it’s okay here. nothing to write home about. I definitely would NOT order the nachos. I don’t do cheese whiz.
the hard shell tacos are pretty good, but again, nothing that makes my toes curl.
just head to Jack in the box and get 2 tacos for .99 cents.

I really wanted to like this place… I had been jonesing on Tillys Tacos for days maybe even weeks. The reviews look so amazing and the pictures make me drool on myself. I was SO excited to come here, but honestly was disappointed with my experience. I came here on a Sunday around 8:15pm. And I have to admit I ordered a lot; the carne asada wrap, 3 regular beef tacos, chips and cheese, and icee, and 2 tacos with no beef. Mind you this taco shop is not cheap and it is in a very divvy location (The Look-​a adult sex shop is located right next door). I walked out of this place at 8:55 with all of my food. It literally took 40 minutes to get our food, and when it came it was disappointing. The chips tasted stale and the cheese very salty. And the 2 tacos with no beef was disgusting– quite literally the WORST taco I have ever seen. I said 2 regular tacos with no beef– so everything else should still be in there (lettuce, cheese, tomatoes etc), and what I received was a tortilla with beans blabbed inside. Words cannot express how upset I was with this since I am a vegetarian and could not eat it. And to top it all off it took so long to get our food that I did not have time to have them remake it. This place was NOT vegetarian friendly or kind to your wallet. Very upset with this experience.

The food is amazing as is the customer service. We went last night and had many questions as we were first timers and the lovely lady behind the counter went above and beyond with her answers. Another employee came from the back to help answer questions as well. We got the tacos, tostada, and asada burrito which were all good, my favorite are the chicken and beef tacos. Large assortment of sauces too, the hot is really hot too! Simple menu which is straight to the point, I prefer it this way.
I’ll definitely be a repeat customer.

Growing up in Culver City, home of Tito’s tacos, I was happy to come across this place. I try to swing by Titos every time I’m in the area. But making that hour drive just for tacos is not in my list.
I have a love hate relationship with Unilocal.I too work in the restaurant business and I see how some Unilocalers feel they are professional food bloggers/​critics.
I just have to say that being a Mexican, I agree these aren’t traditional Mexican tacos. But. I don’t see many bloggers asking for authentic lengua, cesos, tinga tacos.
What I am saying, these tacos are the right amount of Mexican in them for all palates. The reason this place is only getting 4 stars is because. THERE IS ONLY ONE TITOS TACOS..

Came in tonight it was really good. Pretty reasonable too. Very friendly staff I will be coming back. Must get nachos and steak tacos. The hard shell are really good too. The guacamole is really good also

Wow, this little place should be busier, maybe it’s because it’s past lunch hours. The food is very delicious, service was fast for being so fresh and their bean and cheese blew all of my favorites out of the water. So much flavor and so many choices for salsa/​chips. I would defiantly recommend this place

The best place for some authentic carne asada tacos. First time I ordered two tacos for lunch and couldn’t eat them because they were so big. Now I just order one taco and get a side of their fresh chips and salsa. Also if you check in on Unilocal,you get a free churro. I also recommend checking in at the counter, and you will get points towards free sodas and and other goodies. The staff is also very courteous. Overall, a good option for a quick lunch.

I usually take photos but I was so caught up in the moment with the tacos that a realized I ate them all and wasn’t able to take pictures of my crispy beef tacos. Oh sooo good… And the churros were just as good. The only thing I wasn’t so into was the rice which either had too much cumin or something, but didn’t come for the rice. They have great portion of complimentary chips. And loved the variety of salsas. Found my spot for crispy tacos for sure. Used the $ 20 for $ 15 deal which came in handy and great value.

A hole in the wall place that figured out how to do something really great and keeps doing it over and over. I had the tacos beans and rice all 3 were really good. I am definitely coming back this the type of place to order a couple of dozens tacos to go an be the hero at any get to gather.

CRUNCHY TACOS!
I’m really happy that Unilocal steered me in the right direction. I was in the area and wanted to stop for something quick to eat, glad I did.
Tilly’s Tacos is a little hidden at the end of a small shopping strip. I walked in and its a very casual and cozy place with a salsa bar. They also flavor their chips in house, with flavors such as cheddar cheese, chili lime, ranch… I think. It seems like they have a lot of good ideas that they are trying out, kind of young and fresh environment.
On to the food, I had one chicken and one beef crunchy taco and my friend has their asada burrito. We were both really happy with our selections. The tacos are made fresh when you order them and the filling is generous. The salsa bar tastes fresh and has a great selection. I was given 3 salsa cups, which I was ok with. They also brought out some chips for us to snack on while we waited, super nice touch for a fast food place. After we were done with our meal I went up to claim my free churro with Unilocal check in. I had the caramel option, the churro was freshly made and warm and smelled amazing. I took a bite thinking that it would be overly sweet because of the caramel but it was perfect, I wanted another.
This place is great! They have a good atmosphere, great food, and the service was very friendly. If Im in the area I will be stopping by for some other menu items although those crunchy tacos would be hard to pass up. Im a fan.

I can NOT go against the grain & must agree with my fellow Unilocaler’s. These tacos, are quite literally one of the best ones I’ve ever eaten! I love the fact they deep fry their taco shells to give it a little more crunch. So when they named their hard tacos, crunchy, they weren’t joking. The shredded beef is juicy & the combo of the carne asada & guacamole is crazy good. The prices are very fair too. $ 2.29 for a crunchy, $ 1.99 for soft and $ 3.49 for 3 taquitos.
I was sincerely excited when I saw my crunchy beef taco, because as they sat it on my table all I seen was a huge portion of grated cheddar cheese. (Great quality cheese in fact) Nothing worse than being skimpy on the toppings.
The soft carne asada /​guacamole is amazing. Has a smoky flavor as if you’d grilled them yourself.
They also provide self serve salsa bar, with variation of levels of hotness.
Did I also mentioned that when you check-​in, you’ll receive probably the best churro you’ve ever eaten. They have few different flavors to choose from.. I chose bulvarian cream filled… omg! Sooo good.

Cant beat the deal through Unilocal,not sure how long that will stay on but if you can get it you should definitely try this place out. Me and my wife got 6 tacos, chicken and beef, and nachos. They have a salsa bar with plenty of choices to pick from. Now although the salsa’s were pretty good, they were all missing a little something. My wife thought they needed to be a little more spicier while I thought the same and some pepper and salt here and there. As for the food, doesn’t get much better than Tilly’s. It’s been a while since the Mrs. and myself have had some good tacos. Their nachos were very good but they put the Guac on the side, should have been on the nachos but I guess I understand that. The nachos were good as they used pretty good meat. 4 out of 5 stars for the decent salsa. Please work a little on the salsa and you’ll have a 10 out of 5 star restaurant!

All I can say about Tilly and his taco experience? Well consider my taste buds knocked silly!
The wife and I were in the mood for some REAL Mexican food and decided to give this a try after always passing it way too many times. Now we won’t be doing that again for sure as this place is legit and certainly worth giving a shot!
It is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of 6th street so certainly keep your eyes peeled.
Onwards to the fiesta! We first dove into the super nachos which as the picture shows are portioned enough to feed an army. The chips were crisp, tomatoes were fresh, onions and beans held up their own, and the nacho cheese partnered with the bountiful amounts of carne asada represented for the homies! At one point I just grabbed a fork and scooped up everything minus the chips because I couldn’t let the masterpiece go to waste.
Next I set my heart on the tacos and had both chicken and beef so I could properly taste the menu. I have to say both the chicken and beef were tender and on point, but overall I preferred the chicken taco in the end. I’m happy that the tacos even being hard shell were not greasy as I was expecting and there were loads of cheese piled high which is always a crowd pleaser!
And then (oh Ashton there is certainly an and then here) I took on the carne asada burrito. I must say this is some of the best carne asada in the area to date. I’d even go as far to say it was Luna Modern quality at way cheaper prices! It was seasoned marvelously and took the burrito to a mythical height with its out the world tenderness. I would not have expected that here to keep it 100.
Before I concluded I did want to make reference to the gentleman who was helping us as he really was amazing. We had issues ordering online so he took the order over the phone and did make all this cook to order. He rushed around the kitchen all by himself (as he was the only one there) and just seemed dedicated to making sure we were handled and that’s huge to me. He was very cordial and a great representation of I what true customer service is all about!

Thought I’d try this new taco place.
It’s not your average place the menu is very simple and straightforward I ordered a burrito and a taco shredded beef the flavor was a little much a lot going on I don’t overwhelming.
Customer service was great .they look like tables and forward bit dirty but I only did see two people working. I can’t say anything bad about this place just not for me

I have found my new favorite taco spot and that less than 2 miles from home, score!!!
While the menu is very simple, I tried on of each kinds of tacos, the fried beef and chicken as well as the regular beef, skip that next time, for $ 2.29 you get a huge, freshly fried corn tortilla stuffed with shredded beef or chicken and tons of chedder, sooooo good!
They have an excellent salsa bar, I loved pretty much all of them.
No seating, to go only which I really hope they change and the hours also kind of suck since they close at 7pm.
Other than that I had a craving for them the nest day and every day since then and am finally making my way back tonight, not even a week later which says a lot since I don’t find many places worthy of going back to, Tilly’s is, I hope they do well since I now need them in my life at least once a week!
