What a great auto shop! I was so stressed out after purchasing a car that the dealer implied was in great shape, but actually turned out to need a lot of work. Josef and his staff were so helpful and accommodating for all of my needs. He came highly recommended by another local shop I had liked, but because this car was an important build, it’s always better to go with someone who specializes in them.
I was clearly explained everything that immediately needed to be fixed and low priority work. I was offered a really phenomenal good rate for the many services required. The staff went above and beyond with this work too. They even helped fix stuff that wasn’t part of the original request and did so at no extra cost. They finished by steam cleaning my engine, washing my car and then showing me the old parts vs new work completed. It was a really awesome experience.
I am so incredibly grateful to Josef and his staff for all of their help and hard work. They really helped me feel much less scared and overwhelmed after a really rough used car purchase. I will definitely be back here for all of my future needs for this car. It is so nice to have such a great shop local to my new home that I can trust. I would recommend to anyone in the area looking for help with their imports!

Easy 5-​star review. I was referred to this place thru another reputable mechanic so I knew from the start that I was in good hands. Joseph’s quote for repairs was $ 100 less than another reputable mechanic and 50% less than the BMW dealer’s quote.
Also, he gave me a ride to my work in the morning and when I returned in the afternoon, I was surprised that he detailed my car!!!
Honest guy, fair price, free inspection, and him and his son are fellow military veterans– which is a HUGE plus for me!

This place is great and I would highly recommend. The owner and employees are all nice and welcoming. Very upfront and transparent. Gave very good pricing when compared to other shops. Came here on a recommendation after really needing some work done. Have been nothing but satisfied with the overall experience.

Had a leak in my radiator. They ordered the new part and switched it out for a new one. About $ 700 ish. They called me back the next day to get the car. I drove about a block away in the car died. We drove it back to them and they had forgot to connect a part. Call me back about an hour later to come get it again. Was driving home and noticed the AC was no longer working. when I got home I noticed that there were parts hanging off from the engine. I took it back again and they fixed the AC. Just a pain to keep going back when things we’re done right the first time.

Found this place here on Unilocal and went to get my Audi diagnosed, Josef is the best! He knew exactly what was the issue with my car and saved me $ millions…:). He even let me install part myself with his tools. I recommend his expertise and friendliness to anybody with German or domestic cars. Place is cleanest I’ve seen with snacks and coffee while you wait. Avoid dealers come here folks!

My 2004 mercedes CLK had a broken door latch and I took it in to Techstar last Monday. By Tuesday afternoon (next day), my car was ready and Joseph had fixed my misaligned bumper for free! I have a hectic work schedule and appreciate how fast my car was fixed. Joseph was very personable and even arranged and paid for my rental car for the day so that I could make it to work. His staff did a great job! I’ve only taken my car here once but Joseph gave me a fair price for the service and I will definitely be going back for any of my mercedes needs.

I have been going to Techstar Motors for over 15 years! Joseph and his staff is extremely knowledgeable! I love going taking my cars to them. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone!
