History

Established in 2013.

Signature Series would not have been possible without the partnership with Vital Climbing Gym. Vital helped Luis acquire all the necessary materials, and placed a HUGE hold order to fill their new location in Bellingham Washington. A frantic month of June 2013 ended with nearly two-​thousand holds being shipped from Southern California to North Washington.

Signature Series holds continues to expand. All three Vital Climbing Gym locations are already stocked full of Signature Series Holds Hopefully in the next few months your gym will be full of our shapes as well. Keep an eye out at your local gym for the Signature Series logo!

Signature Series Holds is owned and operated by Luis Falero. Luis started rock climbing in June of 2009, and slowly but surely climbing has taken over his life. In 2011 he was hired as the manager of Vital Climbing Gym — Murrieta and, almost immediately, took a great interest in routesetting.

Like any routesetter, this led directly to an obsession with climbing holds. The notion of shaping a climbing hold floated around for almost a year, until Tony Raynoldo strolled into Vital Murrieta during his country-​wide gym tour. Tony is one of the most prolific hold shapers in the world. It didn’t take much convincing before Luis was in his garage covered in foam dust!
