Just drove by and the whole place was dark and boarded up! I wonder what happened, it doesnt seem normal to have closed the way they did. Anyone know what happened ??

We had one last breakfast and it was delicious. Crispy hash browns, fried eggs, bacon, with toast and jelly! They are closing their doors today. Their onion rings were always the best around.

Sure this place could use a little sprucing up but this is a solid greasy spoon with an obnoxious marquee to boot! The owner(hi Roy!) works about 5 or 6 odd jobs and still manages to cook up some serious meals here with a smile. I’ve been transitioning to a cleaner diet but I still make an effort to stop by now and then when I feel like cheating. At least I am supporting a hardworking local business! Come here if you are looking for the best gyro in town. They are fat, hot, juicy, and loaded with creamy tzatziki. If you expended an extra hour or two on the stair master that morning, why not treat yourself to some fried mushrooms with a side of real ranch? ;-) They have freshly brewed ice tea and a drive-thru. I’d opt for this over traditional fast food any day. NOTE: Don’t think this Mad Greek is affiliated with the famous one in Baker. Totally different menus and styles.

MUCH better than I thought it would be. Driving by countless times, I always shuddered at how dated it looks and never thought I’d step foot inside. Even friends and family joked, how this place looks like it is still stuck in the 70s but not in a good way. Either way I was hungry and didn’t want the usual dining options in the area and my standards were feeling low(HANGRY!) Walking in, it looks much worse than outside, how is that possible? But the girls working were super nice, the menu was fantastic and again I was HANGRY. So I got the Gyro box which comes with a salad and side for $ 8(odd name, I thought it would be a to go type box with fries and meat) My husband the Gyro meal which also at $ 8 comes with a side and a drink instead of the salad as well as a patty melt and a kids meal. Food came out as soon as we sat down, piping hot and made to order, again how it that possible? My salad, gyro and side of fried cauliflower was excellent, loved the sauce, everything was cooked great, shocked how good it was really. The kids meal also awesome, size of the adult meal, super tasty buttered bun, the fries a little pale would ask for well done next time. In all not a place to take a date or anyone who cares about appearances, but if I want a quick meal close to home that tickle different taste buds, I’d come back in a heart beat, so glad I gave them a try, come here before eating at any of the chains in the area!

I had their Gyro combo with Zucchini, both were good, but I was a little disappointed on their sauce for the Gyro and Zucchini, it just didn’t have the authentic taste, feels like they took a short cut to save money on it. I was also disappointed in the dining room, it’s like it’s stuck in the 80’s, It’s old and very run down, the seats are patched with Duct tape and the edges of the tables where there was once laminate are now painted. I wonder if this Mad Greek is part of the chain that is in Baker, if it is, they really need to come and check this one out and fix things. But I will have to say that the girl behind the counter was very friendly.

Best burgers in corona imo. And I’ve been searching a long time. Good fries too, the only drawback was no Tabasco

I dont like to write negative reviews. Ive never had big issues with this restaurant. My kids love the cheap jr burgers and I love their fried zucchini. There have been time’s where the zucchini have been«weird» tasting like having a very sour taste to them but I can get over it because its usually only 1⁄3 of the portion given. Well today was the last straw. Like always I ordered my family’s usual order and added my favorite side order the zucchini. As I got to the window the cashier took my card and processed my payment. In the background I could hear her talking to who I would assume is the cook about something. She is telling him to «just cook them» and that she had already«charhed» me out. Maybe 5 minutes later she came to the window and asked if I would like a side order of onion rings instead or fried mushrooms. I said no thanks and assumed I would be getting my money back. Maybe 15 minutes later a different cashier came and handed me my food and excused themselves for the delay in bringing the food they were waiting for the zucchini to be done. So, perplexed, I thought to myself«didn’t the other girl just tell me there weren’t any more?» I didnt say anything, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Again, I thought to myself well either they gave me rotten zucchini or they miraculously found fresh zucchini in their fridge. When I got home and inspected my favorite order I noted that the zucchini were extremely soft, brown at the tips and bottoms and just plain off tasting. I called about it and the cashier explained that it was due to them not drying off. No thanks, ill be getting my money back and just switching to Burger Basket’s zucchini.

Horrifying. Coffee tastes like body odor. Chili takes like body odor. And for dessert, BO baklava. Run.

Good food and not that bad… But… What ever you do… Don’t look at the ceiling at the vents. Could you you imagine if just one spec of that fell into your food. County inspector should be hired and if there is a county inspector, then they should be fired!

Wow!!! This places looks like it’s hasn’t been updated or cleaned up since the 80’s…I’m not joking. The restroom situation is also really bad. You literally have to on the drive-thru to get to it and once your inside it’s what I imagine an outhouse would look like. I’ve ate here twice and both times have been a disappointment. The gyros are terrible… The meat is cut into huge chunks and tough as leather. The condiment bottles are filthy. My 10 year old ordered the chicken tenders with fries and couldn’t stomach the chicken. The tenders literally looked like they had been refried in dirty grease several times though out the day. My suggestion would be, if your in the area, hit the KFC or Taco Bell cause this place is horrible.

I tried this place twice after being convinced that my first time(which wasn’t particularly good) was ‘just a fluke’ by my coworkers who are fans. Unfortunately, I was again not impressed. I realize that small places like this aren’t going to have the slick, polished appearance of a big nation chain, but would it hurt them to at least clean the place? I’ve eaten from questionalbe street vendors in Chicago yet even I was taken aback at the overall unclenliness of the place, complete with random tattered posters everwhere, a broken arcade machine and sticky floors. It didn’t help that my gyros were very good(key words: chewy and bland) and tasted no better than what you’d find being passed off as ‘authentic’ at a Kroger deli. Judging by the Unilocal reviews, I’m clearly in the minority, but I just did not see what all the fuss was about.

Let’s do the time warp. Great is a true dive. The place is straight out of the late 70’s complete with a standup Ms Pac Man machine. Also in bad need of a remodel but that’s its charm.(Bonus star) Now to the food, the gyro is pretty darn good. It’s messy, greasy and tasty just like I like it and a generous side of fries. Good quick cheap eats for a man on the run. Also a pretty full menu if gyros or Greek food is not your thing. I will be back.

I LOVETHISPLACE I eat here once a week. Same thing, Gyro, pita and hummus… greek salad. Love it. Never have had a bad meal. Food is always hot and good. Sometimes I’ll get the olives on the side. I’ve eaten inside also. It reminds me of O’Rourke’s diner in Middletown, CT. It’s not spotless but the food is good. I recommend the gyro, sauce on the side with hummus and pita!

Mmmmmm good!!! Sure, it’s not a Michelin star restaurant but it’s a great spot for a cheeseburger, pastrami, grilled cheese or their famous zucchini! Fries and onion rings are good too. It’s always warm inside there during the summer due to all the windows so we do take out. Note the drive thru runs long since the food is made when you order it.

Went here a second time to give it a try. Another Unilocaler suggested I try a salad instead. Well I didn’t order a salad, while I was ordering though I was distracted by the environment around me. This is one of the dirtiest eating establishments I have ever set foot in. Behind the counter and in the dining area. I am convinced it has never been cleaned. I’m pretty sure I saw the cook scratch his head, wipe his nose, and continue cooking! Couldn’t believe my eyes. How is this place in business? Has the health department ever stopped by? I couldn’t stomach my food and left in disgust. Worst eating establishment I’ve ever been to.

The food was fair. Pass on the roast beef dip — it had NOFLAVOR, not even the jus. Odd, how can something be totally tasteless? The pastrami was good as were the fries cauliflower and mushrooms. The inside was clean, but EXTREMLY dated and falling apart.

First time here so I went simple with a burger and fries. Was just okay. Restaurant was pretty grimy inside. Menu was interesting. I might have to try one more time and get a gyro or something different. Won’t be a regular stop for me. Just went here last night. Was my second time there and it influenced me to give them another star. Chicken Gyro was pretty good. A little too much sauce on it for me but sauce was light and good. Chicken and flatbread was great. My girlfriend got a grilled chicken salad and she loved it. Was happy it had avocado. Fries were average. Didn’t take long. We went through drive thru at 9pm.
