As first time home buyers, my husband and I were thinking of buying a home. I was talking to my best friend Brenda who also bought her house from JoAnn, about buying a house. She never had an issue commuting here to help us in our search. She was always looking for our best interest. Jo-​Ann is an amazing agent that will go above and beyond to make sure that you end up in the house that was meant for you. When the first home that we were in escrow on fell through when the appraisal didnt come through, we were extremely sad and discouraged, especially since the seller refused to release our deposit. Jo-​Ann helped us find a house that was so much better than the first house and helped us to get our deposit back (less the costs that we had already incurred, which were of course not her fault). In a world where people often seem to only be in business for the bottom line, Jo-​Ann showed us that she cared about us and our happiness and spent many, many hours with us to make sure that happened. Even when my anxiety led me to calling her at 9 or 10 pm, she happily took my call and helped to make me feel completely at ease. We couldn’t have been happier with our decision to buy our first home from her, and I would recommend her to everyone.

If I could give Joann zero stars, I would. I was in the process of buying my very first home and she represented myself and the buyer. The sale of the condo did not go through because of problems with the condo’s HOA. In the end, Joann was only interested in getting the sale done so that she didn’t have to deal with the seller (who she stressed to me several times was a nightmare for her) anymore. She demanded I give HOA docs back by a certain day when she knew I was in Yosemite. Because of this, she had escrow deduct $ 310.00 from my deposit. She didn’t explain contingencies to me and she is so disorganized that when I went to her office to sign escrow instructions, she gave me paperwork for another property and she didn’t realize it until I pointed it out to her. You would think that she would have all the proper paperwork ready for her client to sign but she didn’t. Towards the end of the deal falling through, I caught Joann lying to me and contradicting the advice I was given by other realtors and even the escrow officer we were working with.
I wouldn’t recommend Joann to my worst enemy. There are so many other realtors out there — AVOID listing or buying with Joann.

Jo-​Ann was our agent to sell our old house and buy our current one roughly 5 years ago. She made both the selling and buying experiences as enjoyable and seamless as could be. Her interest and relationship with her clients continues well after the sales are completed.
