Hubbes Performance

Let me say I am totally impressed with Daniel a true gem. I took in my 67 mustang for a total look over. It has not been running for awhile and I wanted to be able to drive it daily and do a road trip on Hwy 1 in it. After explaining to Daniel my dream he has been the most attentive to my car and me. He works in small sections, updates me making sure not to go over my budget and keeping my cost in mind. He always informs me of what he finds before proceeding to work on it with my approval.
I search for quiet sometime to find someone with such passion for classic cars and keeping my cost in mind. I have total trust in Daniel and his opinion on what needs to be done. He is still working on it as I told him to take his time with it.
I will be taking my 75 Camero to him next.

These guys are great! It’s a bit intimidating for a person to come in because these guys a real guys guys and a bit quiet but trust me… You will not be deceived, you’ll get straight answers, they will make sure everything is right and if they don’t know they will tell you straight. It’s hard to come by guys like this.

Do I recently purchased a 1967 Impala and I wanted someone to look over it. I haven’t had the need for a mechanic and certainly not one for a classic car. I don’t about others but I specifically want honesty first, mechanical expertise second, and pricing is third. I jumped on Unilocal and Hubbe’s Performance popped up with a perfect score.
The next day I took my car there after work right before they were about to close. Upon arriving I met Hubbe and Daniel. I explained to them my situation and what I wanted done (minor issues that I was aware of). After talking for 30 minutes or so (after they closed), Hubbe and Daniel decided that they could help me. Their customer service during my conversation with them was excellent. Hubbe reminded me of a fatherly figure who is honest, blunt, and stern. Daniel seemed equally as honest and very loyal to Hubbe. They complimented each other very well and I felt very comfortable leaving my car with them. So comfortable that i didn’t sign any paperwork acknowledging that I even left it with them.
Early the next day Daniel called me and had already identified some of the issues I told him about and what I should have fixed. He gave me the prices and I gave him the green light to take care of it.
When I came to pick my car up Daniel had met me outside. He walked me through what he had changed out and showed the pieces that he had removed. When it was all said and done I was super pleased with what they had taken care of and for the price I was charged.
These guys really met ALL of my expectations and then some. I emphatically recommend Hubbe’s Performance.

I recently purchased a 72 Chevy C10 and needed a mechanic that knew how to work on classics that I could trust. After reading some reviews I headed to Hubbe’s. I was having issues with my alternator and my carburetor needed a tune.
Daniel and Hubbe were very helpful with what I needed and also, per my request, gave me some pointers on what other work I should get done to «modernize» my C10. Daniel even gave me a ride home before he started on my truck.
Very happy with my experience and will definitely be back for my transmission upgrade.

I brought in my high mileage Honda CRV because of a shaking issue when accelerating, also needed a transmission fluid change. I really appreciated their honesty and advice regarding where to go with my shaking issue. They could have tried to tell sell me on having more things done to my car as many places do but they were very honest.
The price for the transmission fluid change was very fair, was actually $ 40 less than the quote I had received from Jiffy Lube just a few days before when I got my oil changed. Daniel and Hubbe were friendly, Hubbe even noticed that I had new windshield wipers in my back seat and offered to install them for free! I will definitely be back.

I’m from Orange County and was having problems with my car on the way to Palm Springs.
It was a Friday, nearly 5:00 pm. When I got off the freeway I had no idea what I was going to do. It was a blessing to find Hubbe’s shop. Daniel and Hubbe didn’t hesitate to help me and get my car back on the road.
I wish these guys were in O.C. because I don’t ever want to take my car anywhere else.

I have been using Hubbe’s services for years. I couldn’t be happier with the service and quality of work. Hubbe is a fair man and always preforms flawlessly. Its is assuring to me to know I have someone that I can go to whenever I need automotive services not just transmission work.

Awesome shop. Fair and Honest. Daniel was so helpful. Dont trust anyone else to work on your car. Go straight here and you will know what a good mechanic is.

Hubbe’s Performance have always come through for me. Outstanding job fixing both transmissions and engines on all my cars. High quality service for a great price. I can highly recommend Hubbes and even though I live in the Bay Area now, I still drive down to do major repairs here. Can’t be beat.

Great service! On time, on budget!

Simply the best mechanic I came across so far! Service is very fast and reasonably priced. This is a rare honest mechanic that knows what he is doing. One disadvantage — it s located too far from where I live.

I take my both my Mercedes and my Dodge Truck to Hubbes.
Hubbe’s is the only place to take your vehicles when you need transmission repair work. Very honest business I had a friend take his van there after another shop quoted the same service for $ 300 more.
