Hartshorn TV & Appliance

I paid $ 75 a few weeks ago for a technician to come out and repair my dryer hose, which came unattached from the wall. I told the tech that if I needed a new hose that was fine, he said I didn’t and that he would reattach it.
As I approached my laundry room this afternoon I noticed a good amount of light coming in. Upon further inspection I saw that the hose WAS NOT attached, which is odd because no one in my home touched or moved the dryer. I also found a nest of dried leaves behind the dryer, which means something has been inside in my home via the hose wall. If a tech cannot perform a simple repair he should find a new line of work!!!

I want to thank hartshorn and john again. I used them about a month ago to fix my washer. My dryer now broke John came out within the time that was given. He fixed my dryer without any issue. The cost was nothing i thought it would be. This company is great and has kind, honest and professional employeees. Thanks again John for your outstanding service.

We recently purchased a tankless water heater from Hartshorn’s. The installer, Phil, put it in yesterday. We cannot not say enough about his kindness and dedication. Because of the holidays, our installation was delayed. Phil knew we had been waiting and did a two day installation in one day. Thank you, Phil. And thank you Hartshorn’s. We have purchased appliances and used their service for years and have never been disappointed. I think I just talked myself into giving them 5 stars. Yep.

Hartshorn Appliance was recommended for washer repair service by a friend and I am thoroughly satisfied with the service I received. So much so that two weeks later when my freezer needed repair I called them again. The repairman explained what he was doing, provided options and saved me some money by applying for manufacturers warrantee where possible.

Phil was amazing! Super knowledgeable, and went the extra mile! Highly recommend this company.

I wouldn’t even give one star after what my friend went through with this business. She didn’t Unilocal before she went with, because a family member recommended… So Sad! Everything I have read about this business matches exactly what my friend experienced.

I moved in across the street 3 years ago, they screwed me once on a refrigerator I bought, I was dumb enough to go back and I got hosed on a TV I left for repair. Never again. these is not just a poorly ran business these people are dishonest. STAY AWAY

I have called Hartshorn for many years for my appliance repairs. Stopped in today because a big box store was three days over due on delivery of a washer. This was the only store I could find with same day delivery. Price was comparable and great mom and pop feel. I would recommend this company for repairs or to purchase appliances.

Listen to the reviews on this. I am sure they are all accurate. The glass on my washing machine broke and these people told me I had to replace the entire top portion of the washing machine and you can’t just get the glass. NOT TRUE!!! I had called Samsung before calling this company and you can get just the glass. She told me that they get their parts from Sears and can’t buy just the glass. As soon as I got off the phone with her I went to the Sears parts website and found JUST THE GLASS in about 2 minutes. She totally LIED!!! Either that or they are incompetent. This company is a rip off. Bunch of crooks. I will never use this company. Plus I had to call them back the day after I called them because they said they would do some research and call me with a quote and never did.

Called this company on the advice of some neighbors for some dryer cleaning. They were able to come out within a couple days. Got the job done for ALOT less than the original company I called. Technician was very friendly and cleaned up after himself. Will use again.

DO NOT patronize this business! GO elsewhere! The mgr./owner, Marguarite is totally dishonest!!! Tech came out, charged $ 62.95 for service call & diagnosed frige w/​inoperable compressor that was $ 500 to replace. Tech stated the $ 62.95 service call would be credited towards repairs. Hartshorn required $ 200 deposit to order part… then when another tech came out to install, the issue wasnt the compressor… instead, the frige had a freon leak & freon was re-​filled in system. The tech indicated we’d receive a refund as the labor and freon was way less than ½ of the compressor. Fast forward… they cheated us and charged us a 2^nd service charge (another $ 62.95) for coming out to do the repairs. They only refunded us $ 67.00 when they were supposed to refund $ 130… even the invoice showed the charges were $ 30 for the freon, $ 100 for labor & $ 62.95 for service fee. When we went into the store today the mgr, Marguarite lied again and said the labor was $ 162.95… completely refuting what she previously indicated and what was clearly stated on the invoice. This place is totally dishonest and I found it sad that they were willing to SCAM a repeat customer… I’d never use them again and recommened that you don’t either… unscrupulous, dishonest and shameful business practices!!!
P. S. I’d like to add that the 2^nd service tech… Rafael was very professional, kind and honest… he’d come previously to do other repairs and he’s an assett to the company!

No stars — DO NOT GO HERE! Find another repair shop, please! I took in my TV and worked with Paula — she was not extremely nice, but this place was local and TV was already unloaded. I had done my research and knew what the problem was since it seemed common on the Westinghouse unit I own. She gave me a quote on parts & labor (part being $ 100). A couple days later Margarita called and said the repair was going to actually be higher — $ 250’ish can’t recall figure since I was upset. She said part used in quote was only $ 10. I explained that was not correct, my quote included the $ 100 part needed. She said I needed to speak to Paula. Paula called a couple days later and was VERY RUDE from the beginning of conversation. At the end when she basically said what do I want, I stated my deposit back. I would not pay that much to repair and old TV, I would have never left it there had the original quote been correct and I would still have my $ 50 to put towards a new TV. She yelled and me and said «fine, fine!» And then hung up! I went in and asked her if she needed my CC information to credit me and now she said that I needed to speak to the manager who of course was not there. Margarita the manager was nicer, but apparently did not believe me and does not believe in customer service. I am not a liar and am disturbed that she did not handle this customer service issue better. I can buy a new TV for $ 300, why would I repair and old one for $ 250! Had the given me a correct quote — I would have not left my repair there. Annoyed and do not want anyone else to waste their money. I am very involved in then community for kids sporting groups to women’s groups and church… telling everyone about this story. It could had all been resolved had they admitted they made a mistake and either refunded my deposit or fixed my TV for the price quoted since they confirmed part is only $ 100. Either way, they would have made money. They refused to even give me ½ of my deposit back — only $ 25. Really? Horrible!

I made an appointment to come out and repair my dryer. I paid a hundred thirty –five dollars for 10 minutes of labor just for using Harthorn. And $ 20 for the part.
After the service, I looked at the package of the part he replaced and it was only $ 20.
So I decided to call and just ask a few simple questions regarding the charges so I can better understand what I was billed for.
When I called Teresa (receptionist) was completely rude and sarcastic about my questions, acting as if I was bothering her. Saying «well your dryer is working now right?» And «you take your car into a shop to get repaired, dont you pay for labor?»
Umm excuse me but that is not how you should treat a paying customer. What terrible customer service… Teresa should be fired from Hartshorn.
If I have been a repeat customer for a few years why would she treat customers in that manner. I did not come off rude when I called in.
I do want to add that the technician that came out was very professional and great.
Not saying they are bad, but beware of Teresa being rude if you call in with any questions…
