Hair By Yanira

Yanira is very patient and helpful when it came to my extensions. We literally spoke all day back and forth until we were both on the same page of what I wanted. I found my new girl!

Called to ask if they accept walk ins…, no one greeting to indicate a salon, no thank you for calling … asked about a men’s hair cut, then female on phone asked what time I wanted to come in I said now and just clearly got hung up. I waited a reasonable amount of time for a call back, no call back received. Horrible phone etiquette and professionalism.

Yanira is so sweet the first time I went in to her was to add some layer into my hair and she even out my hair from a bad previous cut from another salon. My second visit was sudden but she fitted me in and did some pee-​a-​boo highlights and I love it. You will not go wrong with her.

I had Yanira do hair and makeup for myself and my bridesmaids for my wedding recently. I had lost another hair /​makeup artist a couple months before the wedding but Yanira was flexible and was able to work with me to make sure she could provide everything we wanted. She was super kind, friendly, and we had a lot of fun hanging out with her while we took turns getting hair/​makeup. I posted some pictures so you can see exactly how good she is as well.

She made me feel beautiful, she was extremely professional and works wonders with African American skin!

Yanira is by far the best hairstyles I’ve ever had. I’ve been to plenty of salons and have yet to find someone like her. She took the reddish tones out of my hair. She gives you her expert opinion, she’s not going to damage your hair just to make a dollar. I want to go blonde and she was honest with me and explained it would take a couple of sessions. I actually found her by her reviews on Unilocal.I will continue to go to her for all my hair care needs!

Yanira thanks for deep conditioning and awesome hair color… It does not seem it is my hair lol… Loved the deep conditioning :) you need to do that everytime i come in now :)

Yanira did my 4 bridesmaids, mom, grandma and my make up for my wedding and it turned out absolutely beautiful! Yanira came to a hotel near the church I got married at and came prepared with all her different makeup colors. She is so sweet, attentive to detail and makes sure your makeup is exactly how you want it! I did not want to wear a lot of make up and Yanira respected that and gave her advice that I go natural, but just a tad bit more for pictures. I loved my makeup and it stayed perfect for 8 hours. I am so pleased I took Yanira’s advice because my makeup looks wonderful in the pictures.

I was in a wedding in Corona at the end of March, and since the bride (my cousin) was getting ready in Redlands, I decided to find my own hair and makeup artist closer to the wedding venue where my family was staying.
First of all, I researched hair and makeup people online and made a flurry of phone calls on a Sunday afternoon a few weeks before the wedding. Yanira was the first person to return my call that afternoon. She is very sweet and personable, and even though the day of the wedding was actually a holiday for her children, she still agreed to take the job.
I met her at the salon where she worked, which she opened just for me on that day. I had sent her some pictures of makeup and hair that I wanted to give her an idea. She curled my hair quickly and expertly and then did my makeup. She applied foundation and even blended it into my neck and chest area thoroughly since I was wearing a strapless bridesmaid dress. She also applied fake eyelashes and walked me through the process since this was the first time I had ever worn them. When she showed me the finished product, I felt that the makeup was too dark in some parts. I wasn’t really used to it since I usually sport a natural look. No problem! She muted the smokiness a bit and wasn’t a bit offended.
I wish that I could fly her down every time I need my makeup done! If I was closer, I would definitely go to her for makeup and hair. Most of all, she is a very caring and good-​hearted person who is passionate about the work she does and wants you to feel comfortable with the results.

I was looking for a hairstylist near my house. I decided to call Yanira because of all the great reviews I saw on Unilocal,and I’m glad I did. She is very knowledgeable, friendly and honest. She gives you her honest opinions and does not try to up sell you products just because. I’m so happy with my hair! I will be going to Yanira from now on! :)

Yanira is amazing! Se did the keratin hair treatment for me and a hair cut. The keratin didn’t pick up in my hair but Yanira fixed it right up for me and it’s perfect. It’s frizz free and my hair is a lot more manageable. She’s good at what she does and is very professional but at the same time makes you feel comfortable talking to her. I will definitely be going back to her soon!

Yanira should probably stick to doing hair if that’s what she’s good at. She is a mediocre makeup artist and did a terrible job on my makeup for a wedding. Although I arrived an hour early for my appointment, she gave my appointment away to someone else, resulting in me being 20 minutes late for the wedding. She also works at a snail’s pace and does not follow directions even when photos are provided.

I do not agree with Shellown P’s review. I was the person Yanira sat before her. Yanira and I didn’t think it was a problem since Shellown and I were part of the same wedding and are related. Yanira even commented «I hope Shellown doesn’t get upset that I sat you first». I answered with, «oh no. She’s not like that.»
Yanira was very accomodating to all our party and willing to change anything we had a problem with. I loved my makeup. And i also loved how she didn’t take shortcuts. She made sure i was happy with the final result.
Perhaps if Shellown wasn’t happy, she should of spoken up instead of taking it out on Yanira on Unilocal… Or simply stop taking it out on the wrong people, like Yanira, and taken it out on me for taking her spot.
In my opinion, Shellown has never looked better.

I love Yanira!!! I just recently went to her two weeks ago since I heard great things about her on Unilocal.I even went for a follow up to do my peekaboo highlights. The first time I was her client she worked on my hair for five hours and she was very kind, patient and interactive with me, not once did she leave me for long periods of time or make me feel bored being there. She is very caring, loyal and does an excellent job! she’s very honest and takes her time on you. She’s gentle and knows exactly what she’s doing, if she’s ever hesitant she ask other stylist which I respect so much about her. I highly recommend going to her. You won’t regret it

I’ve been looking for a good hairdresser and I got referred to Yanira. She is awesome! Great haircut and she did great with matching my current hair color. She is honest with you and what a sweetheart. I just love her and the conversations we have while I’m sitting in her chair.

Yanira did my hair early November. She gave me a Brazilian treatment, color and also put some track extensions in. I’ve gotta say that i am in love with my new hair! She gave me her honest opinion on the style color and treatment I needed. I’ve only been to 2 other hairstylist as I don’t trust many people to handle my frizzy hair. But she is by far my favorite. Especially after the scalp massage she gives when rinsing. Nothing short of A-​mazing!
Besides her being a sweetheart, Yanira also works great with my schedule. She is able to fit me in whenever i need. With working in the LA area, its hard to get anything done. But she always seems to fit me into her schedule.
Gotta say she has taken over as my new hairdresser.

Yanira did hair and makup for 5 of my bridesmaids at my wedding! I booked her not knowing how wonderful she was! She was only supposed to be a backup but she pulled all the weight that day finishing hair and makup for 5 girls!!! Each one more beautiful then the next!!! He work was clean and perfect!!! She was on time and polite! Such a pleasure to have with me there on my wedding day! She went above and beyond in every way!!! Love love love her!

I drive from Santa Ana to Corona just to get my color and hair extensions by Yanira. I’ve tried others here local but it’s not the same. I can honestly say that I have found my perfect hairdresser.

Yanira did my makeup for prom (featured in her photos). It was my first time booking her and I didn’t even go in for a makeup trial so I was nervous but she did amazing! So happy with the outcome and I’d definitely book her again for special events (:

Excellent service! Always friendly. Yanira did my daughter n my hair n make-​up for her quince and went back to her for hair n makeup for my sister’s wedding. I finally found my hairdresser!
