Called on May 9^th to place appt for an order smh — informed she is not taking an orders until July. Star is for the delay. However, the service over the phone was very courteous.

As I had said from my last review, I went back to Maria for my birthday this year. I had a specific design that I wanted, so I drew it out, and sent it to her. The result was so cute, as you can see by the picture! Her work never ceases to amaze me, my friends, my family, and just about anyone who sees her cakes! Maria’s fondant work is so smooth with such clean lines– you can tell she puts a lot of time and effort into each and every cake that she makes.
As for the cake itself, I ordered the funfetti cake and buttercream with fresh strawberries. Cake as always is YUM! (And most importantly for me, not too sweet!) Now let’s talk about the buttercream with the fresh strawberries… CAN I JUST HAVE A TUB OF THAT EVERYDAY? Maria’s buttercream has this melt in your mouth quality– SO. GOOD. and then with the fresh strawberries incorporated into the buttercream, MMM DROOL!

Thank you very much to Maria who made us this gorgeous cake! It was for a baby gender reveal party. I really wanted to surprise my cousin with this cake as a gift. Everyone loved it and kept asking me where I got it. The fondant was soooo smooth and perfect. -!and the cake was good as well. If you want the cake to be the main center piece at a party, definitely order here. Just one tip: make sure to clarify details of the look (style, design) of the cake to avoid any confusion.

Finding the perfect cake for a special occasion is a challenge in itself. If you throw a Pinterest-​worthy party but serve a less than stellar cake, then the cake is what everyone will be talking about. I wanted to get a custom cake to make the birthday extra special and Maria was able to execute that for me.
Her responses were extremely fast and she was helpful throughout the entire process. I emailed her my vision and with a few suggestions, she made it come to life.
Her most popular combinations are: Vanilla with vanilla buttercream and fresh raspberries, chocolate with chocolate and Oreo with Oreo.
Not only does she do an amazing job with fondant, which is proven through her customers’ pictures, her cake quality is extraordinary. When the waitresses cut the cake, they said they were surprised at how thin and soft the fondant was. They’re use to thick layers of fondant, which results in a crushed cake from trying to cut through. They’ve cut hundreds of fondant cakes and this, without a doubt, was the best one they’ve seen by far.
Everyone was raving over how moist and flavorful the cake was. The raspberries, added a bit of tart to the overall taste, paired with the mouthwatering vanilla buttercream was an excellent combination.
I now know who to go to when I need a custom cake. I can’t thank you enough Maria!

I’m from NJ and came to California to throw my daughter’s first birthday party. We did a little bakery theme and called it Karina’s Kitchen. I had less than a week to plan everything, and I knew I wanted a special birthday cake. Maria was FANTASTIC to work with. I gave her an idea to start with and she took off with it– adding some really cute ideas and intricate details. I was so happy with the final outcome. The cake was super cute and every detail was hand crafted and edible. She was quick to respond and seems very easy going. Highly recommend for a cute and impressive birthday cake. The cake and fondant is yummy! Btw– the fresh strawberry filling was delicious, but I think I would’ve cut neater slices if it were just buttercream filling. No biggie at all!

Her work is amazing from what I’ve seen on IG & my gfs baby shower but I ordered some cupcakes and a cake for my nieces birthday and just wasn’t impressed. The cupcakes are ugly I didn’t even know what to say when she delivered them. I sent her some pictures of cupcake toppers I liked and left the rest to her because she is so talented but the cupcakes did not deliver. The cake is cute but not sure if it was worth the price.

Look no further! I’m picky and a perfectionist. I Unilocal everything and was so blessed to find Maria, who works hard and professional!!! I value her passion and I can honestly say that she probably has earned my business for life. Crisp lines, pays close attention to detail, executes all your requests and makes the best suggestions. The guests at my son’s 1^st Birthday party were blown away! Their faces of fascination made me feel so good. The Ooos and Aaahh will make it worth working with her. Besides the cake looking so unreal, eating it (and I mean all of it!) was the best part! I was uncertain which flavors to go with but her feedback made it a hit. If you look at my pics, you’ll know what I mean. It helped that I provided an idea and drew a picture to start with and then we both just teamed up to create this masterpiece. I mean the details of the wrinkles on the circus animals and suggestion the gold plated option… Amazing! Plus she’s affordable! So call her and get an estimate. But make sure you give her enough time to work on it. She’s great with last minute orders I’m sure. But like I said, I’m a perfectionist and made sure I had it down way in advanced.

Maria is awesome! She made such a beautiful cake for the baby shower we threw, every detail was perfect. If you are looking for a detailed cake design Maria is the person to do it. Thank you!

Maria did an amazing job on making my daughter’s 1^st birthday cake! All of my guests kept on asking who made my daughter’s cake. Not only it looked gorgeous but it tasted really good. Some even asked if the whole cake was edible because it was too gorgeous & perfect. Lol (Y-​E-​S the whole cake was edible including the topper-​Minnie Mouse which was handmade beautifully by Maria) I highly recommend her to those who want perfection & elegance. She’s the best! Hands down!

Maria designed our cake beautifully. It was exactly what we wanted and my goodness I’ve never seen such great sharp edges with buttercream cakes. She was very accomodating and delivered on short notice. One of the best tasting cakes I’ve had. Such moist cake and excellent quality ingredients. I could eat a bowl of her swiss merengue buttercream lol.

This is a home based bakery, but I was not intimated by that fact. Many great company’s start out this way. And I hope one day Maria will get her wish to operate one bc her cake talent is amazing. I was so impressed, she made the cake come alive. Maria replicated a Pink Zebra cake for my daughters 5^th bday. The inside was marble with chocolate buttercream. I got so many compliments from parents. Even ones who didn’t have a slice ended up with one. I would recommend her to my friends and family!

Was referred to Arty Crafty Cakes through a friend, and they didn’t disappoint! I needed a customized construction cake for my husbands new business, and she created a beautiful tiered cake! The detail was amazing, and the cake itself was moist, and delicious! I would most definitely, without hesitation, recommend Arty Crafty Cakes!

On only a few days’ notice Maria was able to design and put together a beautiful Lightning McQueen cake for my son’s third birthday. She customized flavor and ingredients exactly to order and even delivered it to the park where we were having the party. It didn’t just look impressive but tasted great as well. Would definitely recommend!
