I’m not sure what happened, but someone at the company began to communicate with me at a certain point. I was hugely frustrated and emailed them twice on Nov 28 because they never notified me that because one item was out of stock on Nov 17 the entire order was waiting to ship indefinitely. And also the order status on their site looked like it was cancelled, not just waiting for something to arrive. A lady finally emailed on 12 – 1 about my order saying they were waiting for something to arrive in the order. She communicated the way you would expect someone in customer service to from then on so I guess she made up somewhat for there being no communication for 15 days, the weird policy to hold up an order if one thing is not there but not to tell you, and the confusing website. I have my order and the items are nice enough — it took a very long time though, so if you need something from their website and don’t have several weeks to wait for every item to come into stock you may want to find another boutiquey gift website.

had a great experience at the store!!! — staff very friendly and talented as well. Great place to furnish your whole home. They have EVERYTHING. Large and small. love the eclectic mix too. Really great room designs. Make it so much easier. I had no issue with customer service. Everything went smoothly for me. I ordered a chest and after 2 months of constant calls and no one returning my call
I finally had to cancel because they did not know where it was or when it would
be delivered. This has happened to me 2 times now. Should have learned the
first time. Lousy, lousy, lousy service. Do not know who their shippers are and
they get no response to let their customers know where items shipped are at any
given time. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS STORE EVER… YOU WILL NOT GET
THE ITEM IN ANY TIMELY FASHION IF AT ALL!!!

Bliss has a bunch of interesting items and a lot of them you won’t find elsewhere. They also have the worst customer service that you won’t find anywhere else. That alone is enough to make you shop elsewhere and not at Bliss.
I requested a price on a piece of art I found in their store. The associate quoted me a price of \ $ 1,000. She was hesitant of the price and stated wasn’t able to confirm the price with the vendor because it was Saturday and the vendor was closed. She took down my contact information and stated she would call me on Monday. Monday came and went and no call from Bliss. Tuesday I called the store and informed them of the situation and they confirm the price was $ 1,000. I said great and gave them my credit card information and they processed the sale over the phone. Three day later an associate from Bliss calls me and says she was mistaken and the actual price for the art piece was $ 2,500. I told her this was unacceptable since she quoted me $ 1,000 and confirmed the price before processing the sale. After a lot of back and forth she said there was nothing she could do and she was unwilling to help. The employees here are incompetent and the business practices at Bliss are unethical. Furthermore, their treatment customers is extremely rude and dismissive. I suggest you take your business elsewhere.

I ordered a wine coaster online as a gift for someone else, so it was a time-​sensitive purchase. After a few weeks of no confirmation that the order had shipped, it took multiple calls and emails to customer service on my part to get ahold of anyone. It turned out the item I had ordered was not actually in stock, hence the delay. But no one bothered to tell me this before I contacted the company.
I had used a coupon code when I purchased the wine coaster originally, and when it finally did ship, they charged me for the full price. I had to badger customer service (again) to get a response to my annoyed email about this, and their explanation was that since the item was out of stock, they had to re-​place the order. I eventually got a refund for the amount I was over-​charged, but it was like pulling teeth.
Bliss Home & Design has gorgeous merchandise, but I am too wary of having another headache like this one to want to shop there again.

I placed an order online and it wasn’t confirmed until more than two weeks later. Like most online purchases, I placed the order and then forgot about it, assuming it would be processed and shipped immediately. There was no indication of a delayed delivery time or other issues.
My order was a gift and was sent to someone else, so I didn’t notice that it hadn’t arrived. When I got an email over two weeks later saying my order had been confirmed and shipped, I sent multiple emails asking for an explanation and received none. I can accept that errors and delays occur, but bad (nonexistent) customer service is inexcusable. Had anyone taken the time to respond I would not be writing this review but, alas, no one did. Bliss is unreliable and unresponsive.
Update: Someone responded. Upgraded to two stars.

I ordered a decorative pitcher online and it didn’t work out for me, so I contacted them to arrange for a return. I was told there would be a 15% restocking fee. For a pitcher? This is not electronic equipment that has to be perused for missing parts, etc. I truly enjoy shopping online and have never paid a restocking fee, nor will I ever pay one again. This transaction was far from «Bliss.»

If you have a problem with the merchandise they will charge you a 15% restocking fee AND all shipping charges!!! It cost me $ 363 to return a chandelier that I wouldn’t sign for because it was badly delivered! I still wanted it, but they thought it was excessive that I wanted to see it before I signed for it. I am very suspicious that they ship broken items.

Gorgeous crystals and other little trinkets. BUT, completely over-​priced.
When I want to pay their prices I want original works of art. I don’t want to purchase knocked-​off pieces of art that other fake artists have re-​created/​knocked off, or have their design staff re-​create pieces as well.

I can’t figure out what the scam is, but DO NOT SHOP ONLINE at this store! I placed an order, received a confirmation with a ship date of 2 – 3 days hence, and a hold was placed on my credit card for the entire amount. Then I heard nothing. They don’t answer the phones at all, no matter what options you pick, so the only way to reach them is via email. Their dilatory response stated that they didn’t actually place my order until the Monday after I placed it, and they didn’t actually know if the item was in stock, although the website showed it was. A few days later, guess what? They didn’t have the item, never did, and used a non-​replyable email address to let me know, as though they were cutting me off. I felt their treatment of an earnest customer was quite rude and dismissive, as though I’d done something wrong by trying to buy from them. What a horrid way to sell retail. How is it that Amazon does it so much better with warehouse drones? I was trying to buy from a small business, and that’s just what I get, I suppose. Shame on them. I see now that others here have had a similar experience. Wish I’d checked here first.

Placed an order on November 30^th for an ottoman. The website indicated that the order will ship in 1 – 2 weeks. After a month of not hearing back, contacted them and they said that they’re at the «mercy» of the vendor and they have so many different products and they can’t always keep their website up to date. I had to even point out to them that this is false advertising. Needless to say the website is STILL saying 1 – 2 weeks.
We iterated to them that if we knew the order will take this long then we would have not ordered it. They said that our order will ship soon and they can’t do anything at this point.
January 6^th, they emailed that the order was shipped using white glove delivery service and sent us a tracking number. We tried to track the package using the tracking number and failed. We called them again asking why we can’t track the shipment and also how long it will take for us to get it. To that they replied that we can’t actually track it. so our question is why are you even providing us the tracking number if we can’t track it?
After all this, apparently the delivery service will call us week of January 26^th to schedule delivering to our home. That will be 2 months from the time we ordered this!
So after many times calling them and emails back and forth, the customer service rep said that she will have the manager call us. End of the day we get an email saying that the manager is not in the office for the whole week!
This is a horrible experience and we’re so afraid that the ottoman will arrive and it will not be what we ordered or worst it’ll be a really bad quality! Never again!
ps. If you’ve been dissatisfied with your purchase and have tried calling their phone number (866) 312‑5610 and you wait on the line for 15 mins until it goes to their answering machine. The solution is to hang up, call with a different number, do not leave your name at the tone and they will pick up your call within 3 – 4 rings.

Bliss Home is a piece of heaven on earth. My wife and I have fallen in love with this place and the people who work there. All of the pieces in the store are of the highest quality and unique as well as beautiful. We have been working over the past 3 years to adorn our home with the charm and beauty Bliss offers. From a simple set of beads to a fine piece of art to a fascinating end table made of petrified wood our home is finally coming together in full Bliss style. What a beautiful store! They have a great varieties of unique products. My husband and I were thrilled to find out that they offer design services. We decided to have them redo our living room. Through out the process we were impressed with the service and design. The living room turned out beautiful and we received so many compliments from our friends. Can’t wait for our next projects.

This store is pretty much the most elegant yet relaxed coastal design store I’ve seen in OC. I have gotten a lot of help from Quin, one of the designers. She helped me figure out how to organize a room that I had no clue on. She had great ideas about planning the space in terms of size and functional use. If I had gone ahead with my own ideas without help, there probably would have been no room to walk. She came out to my home at no cost where other design stores in OC want $ 350 just for a home consult. And for the high end boutique that it is, surprisingly I got a couple items for less than other storefront and online retailers. Steven is also very helpful.

Worst customer experience ever!
I ordered an item. I never got it. They never answered emails. After numerous calls, they told me it would ship in a few days. Still no item. Called again. Non responsive. After a month I cancelled the order. It took me numerous emails to even get them to acknowledge the cancellation. I got the item for less money and in 3 days from another web site.
DO NOT do business with these folks. It will give you nothing but headaches. With their lousy customer service, I don’t know how they manage to stay in business.

This is a great shop for gifts and for your home.
I always know I am going to find something to buy.

interesting design store BUT they never respond when you are following up on an order unless you’re lucky enough to reach them by phone and then it’s often a bunch of gobble-​de-​gook with no real answers… yes, i finally got my order after chasing them forever BUT they certainly were warm and willing to reach out to me regarding my feelings on another item we were interested in potentially buying … PLASTIC and TWO-​FACED … NO FOLLOW THROUGH … BEWARE !!!

This unique, perfectly merchandised & manicured showroom will make you want to improve your home time & again! BUT the design staff is one and only. Hands down, the most professional, innovative, creative, & substantial design organization in Southern California serving no boundary of style or location. Fabulous!

A fun place to glance, occasionally. But things don’t change much here, so I usually drop in just a couple of times a year. Lots of focal point pieces which are really big – seriously big, like 6′ diameter clocks, 5′ high trumeaus, lanterns & chandeliers that could only work with 20′ tall ceilings! That kind of focal and that kind of huge.
The store is nicely set up with designed «rooms». It clearly aims its appeal to designers and people who use designers. But if my designer shopped here, I’d fire her for not attending to my budget. There are definitely a few interesting pieces here, mainly because they carry a few antiques; and antiques are most always interesting & unique. But Bliss is not the place where I’m buying MY antiques. Granted, the number of good antique stores in OC, especially French antiques, has diminished; but they still exist and have a larger selection and better pricing than Bliss.
When it comes to non-​antique home items, I don’t know why one would be tempted to purchase here. If you want to overpay for 1000 thread count sheets rather than driving to Tuesday Morning, go for it. But for me, Bliss is a lookie-​loo kind of shop.

When I used to live at the beach I would drive past this place all the time and admire from afar. It wasn’t until I crashed at my friend’s house that I experienced the mystery of bliss! My friend warned me that the place was expensive but these were the softest sheets I’ve ever felt.
Just driving by this place you instantly get transported into a state of «bliss». The window displays show off the high thread count sheets and beautiful linens. The parking is hit or miss on the street or be safe and park in the lot behind the store. Be warned that you may get the once over when you get inside (remember where you’re shopping).
I was greeted warmly by Hollister and she was quick to answer my questions and seemed knowledgeable. I picked up Italian 1,000 thread count sheets. I come from the mentality that if you want to make a solid investment, white high quality sheets are the way to go. They had a lot of colors and bed sizes in stock. No prints but but solid colors of the sea (white, blue, green, cream, tan).
The furniture, spa products, and home décor are RIDICULOUS. Sooo over priced for average looking products. My recommendation is to browse and if there is one piece you love, buy it and make the rest of the room Target or IKEA brand furniture. Don’t waste your time on art here either. You can pick up cuter pieces for a fraction of the cost at OC swap meet.
