History

Established in 2008.

New York State Foam & Energy is a thriving family-​owned business. The proprietor, Dennis Bender, has an excellent reputation as an entrepreneur and agent of high-​quality from his prior home improvement carpentry business of 25 years. Byran, his son, shared the desire to provide the community with excellent home improvements and asked him to help him start another business. Bryan partnered with his father and Dan Cristano, the equipment director. They’ve spent years — and continue — training and acquiring certifications from The Building Performance Institute (BPI) and the NYSERDA energy programs. In addition to this, hours and hours of work completed has elevated them to insulation installer leader status. They are proud to work within an efficient business model which allows them to provide safe and effective solutions — at different prices — while not compromising equipment (like Graco Insite System), product, or their staffing thus satisfying so many.

I saw spray foam Insulation as a kid working for my father, Dennis Bender, the revered Carpenter of the county and my business mentor. As I took some time on a cross country motorcycle trip I saw all the windmills and green energy arising everywhere. It was then that I decided that energy conservation was where I wanted to work.

When I got back I applied at a spray foam company. Over the next few years I was trained by the owners and passed numerous certifications in products and equipment through BPI and NYSERDA. Like my father, I knew I wanted to own my own business. Shortly after I partnered with my father and Dan C., an equipment expert, to start NYS Foam & Energy, LLC.
