Radisson Hotel

I had not stayed in a Radisson Hotel in FOREVER. And this one was so pleasantly surprising. I believe it is franchised by Corning (makes sense) and it’s really a fantastic stay. I’m actually looking forward to being there regularly. Go to their website and you’ll see photos – it’s a lovely lobby, great restaurant, nice bar area– the décor is awesome. The staff is very friendly and accessible, more so than most hotels. The rooms are ROOMY and the beds are divinely comfortable— the have room darkening SHADES not just curtains = key. The hotel is quiet, the food from room service is fast and they were very accommodating to my dietary changes and needs. Very friendly. The lighting in the rooms is very Zen and flattering not like most hotels with bright unflattering glaring lights. Further, the Rituals line of soaps/​shampoos they use IS DIVINE. I am now addicted. Pretty nice gym– also an indoor pool and outdoor hottub.
I’m a fan. Highly recommend.

I have been going to this hotel for close to 30 years for the Crystal City Christmas Package. Every year the service has diminished a little more. The hotel used to have an entertainment room with snacks and movies for our children. There were many snacks put out in the lobby on Saturday night including cupcakes and punch with ice cream floating in it. There was a doorman at the door and a white grand piano playing Christmas music in the lobby. There was a large Santa house and many decorations all over the hotel. On Sunday morning the package included a bus tour to local attractions. The town itself had thousands of people on the street now there are a couple of hundred for this celebration and many venders no longer bother to come. I actually heard one man say he had a wallet full of cash and no place to spend it. This had been a family tradition for so long I just kept coming but no more. This year the Radisson Hotel is NO LONGER PET FRIENDLY and will charge you $ 150.00 if you are caught with a pet. Last year we were charged over $ 80.00 for a pet friendly room for our very well behaved 10 pound dog. Shame on the Radisson, you and the town of Corning need to do much more to bring back the spirit of Christmas and then I and the people will return.

Stayed here on a long drive from New York’s Hudson Valley to Michigan. I had heard about the glass museum in Corning, so we decided to stop here for the night. I’m so glad we did.
The front desk staff was very helpful in pointing out Corning’s main attractions and explaining how to get around. The Radisson is in a prime location compared to the other hotels in the area — at one end of Corning’s historic Gaffer District. It’s a short walk to great shops and restaurants, and about a two minute drive from the glass museum.
We didn’t have a reservation, but they were able to accomodate us anyways. The rooms are spacious and clean. I found the Sleep Number bed to be stiff and a bit uncomfortable, and the shower control in the bathroom took a few minutes for me to figure out — although that may very well have been a product of exhaustion from a long drive.
(Here’s how it works: It’s a bit stiff, but you turn it – don’t push anything in or pull anything out. It took me several turns before it was hot enough for my liking.)
The restaurant downstairs was great — I really can’t say enough good things about the food. Breakfast arrived at my room promptly, and hot.
The next time I’m in the lower tier of the Finger Lakes region, this is where I’ll be staying.

Stayed for a while in August during The Wine Bloggers Conference. They could not have picked better accommodations and I would absolutely stay here if back in the area. Our room was well appointed, big enough, and despite being the first one closest to the elevator, incredibly quiet! The bar was quick to serve and the food pretty decent for bar food. The breakfast buffet (continental breakfast, really) had good choices and we enjoyed it every day. What really sets this hotel apart from other large chain hotels, though, is the staff. Every person we came into contact with seemed to be happy, and like they actually enjoyed what they were doing. Understanding that I was there for a conference one morning the hostess/​waitress at breakfast packed up my meal so I could take it with me! Everyone was kind, smiling, and helpful. And the cleaning staff was beyond skilled.
I filled out a survey for the hotel after the conference and they wrote to thank me and to acknowledge my one complaint (which had nothing to do with the hotel itself but was a conference issue). I appreciate a company that doesn’t just ask for feedback but also takes the time, obviously, to read it.
I plan on running the wineglass half next year and will likely stay here. Also if I’m back in town for a wine weekend — since it’s accessible to so many of the Finger Lakes and their delicious, delicious wineries.

I stayed here after the Wineglass marathon. Our room was so clean and all the staff was friendly and attentive. I will definitely stay here when I go back to Corning.

This property is fantastic! Our room accommodations were immaculate, beautiful and very comfortable. All staff members were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed breakfast in the on property restaurant. All of us enjoyed our perfectly prepared entrees. The waitress was amazing. The on site bar is a spectacular space to enjoy local Finger Lakes’ wine. What a treat! Again, the food served in the bar was delicious and perfectly presented. Attention to detail at every level of this hotel is paramount. Kudos to the management!!! Thank you for a great stay in the Finger Lakes. Stay at the Radisson Corning, you will not be disappointed.

Our family has stayed here for a week each of the past several years while we’ve visited nearby relatives. We really appreciate it being a pet-​friendly hotel! Great downtown location at the end of Market Street which is full of cute shops and restaurants. Has always been clean and has friendly front desk and housekeeping staff. They did the lounge area over a year or so ago and it’s a huge improvement. Very comfortable area to watch a sports game and/​or enjoy a cocktail. The bartender is very friendly and he greeted several out-​of-​town business customers like they were old friends, some of whom he remembered even though they hadn’t been there in a couple of years! Impressive! The restaurant and bar have great food – better than many of the various restaurants we’ve tried over the years actually! Great selections, innovative and fresh without being weird, and very satisfying.
Now for the disappointments — In prior years, our room had two queen size beds which were great. Now they’re double inflatable beds (sleep number type, I gather from the other reviews). Although I’m happy with the sleep number bed we have at home, we weren’t thrilled this new addition. Double beds are just too small for two tall adults, plus the edges of the mattresses seemed to slope off so if you were too close to the edge, you felt like you were going to slide off. Maybe it needed to be inflated more? Not sure because we didn’t see any sleep number controls so we don’t know if it could be adjusted or not. Also, the top sheet was several inches too narrow — every time one of us rolled over, the sheet pulled off the other person… all night, every night. This rarely ever happens at home. Last but not least, I asked for a new bulb for the reading light on my side of the bed. No one could find one or figure out how to fix it. They promised that someone would be up tomorrow to fix it. Unfortunately, that never happened – definitely not a deal breaker, but I would’ve liked to do some reading after my hubby turned out the lights. Overall, we’re happy but I do hope we can get a queen size bed next year so I can get a better night’s sleep!

In town for reunion, and have never stayed in Corning, NY. Read the reviews and decided on the Radisson for a two night stay. Oops.
Where to begin… the front desk did not know how to direct me to my reunion venue. (Just down the main road about 3 miles.) Check in was quick. Booked on
, and did not really get any sort of price break on the stay. But the room left a bit to be desired. The cover to the air conditioner unit was broken. There were broken yet repaired tiles (with mold) at the bottom inside edge corners of the tub, and the tub had a fresh pea sized chip on the bottom. Some guy knocked on the door to «check the report of a clogged drain». And then he came back in 15 minutes… hmmmm. And we could not determine, nor could he, the first time and only time we let him in, that there was ever any problem. Why assign this room if there is a reported problem?
The next day we went to breakfast and when we returned, the entire hallway was littered with dirty bath towels from all the rooms. ON THE CARPET. Outside of all the rooms. EWWWW! Never heard of this practice.
The entry is nice, and the bar was fine, but I will not return here to stay. Not up to Radisson standards. Or mine.

We stayed here for Valentine’s weekend. It was very nice. We had an issue with the shower head feeling like a pressure washer. We mentioned it to the front desk and before we knew it there was a new shower head installed, which completely solved the problem. We were pleasantly surprised how willing the staff was to help. On top of outstanding service there is an outdoor hot tub! How cool is that?! With the snow falling it made for a very romantic evening.

Great hotel, great location. This is our second stay here. It’s close to everything — shopping, eating, scenic walks. The front desk staff were super helpful and friendly.

I stayed here two nights for a wedding and was pleased with both the lodgings and the event services. The pictures of the rooms on here don’t look like what we had at all, so it seems that the hotel is slowly redecorating. I was asked when we booked if we wanted a standard room or an «upgraded» room. We upgraded and it was pretty nice, with new furniture and flatscreen TV. We were excited for the sleep number beds (!) but couldn’t figure out how to get them to work. Maybe they weren’t plugged in? I didn’t care enough to bother the front desk but it would have been a nice amenity.
The service was uniformly excellent. Check-​in was easy, and the bride had left gift bags, which the desk staff offered to place in the room for us. The housekeeping staff were good humored and attentive. The free bottled water is a nice and much appreciated touch. The event staff were all polite and responsive for the entirety of a 10 hour wedding reception. Cocktail hours, 7 courses, cake and beverage service, late night snacks, sparkler salute, and more. They worked hard to make sure everything ran smoothly and the few incidents that tend to arise during a large event were handled discreetly so as not to interrupt the party or worry the bride and groom. The food was very good and a large selection so even the pickiest found something to make them happy.
The location is super walkable, at the end of the downtown shopping district. We decided to drive to a local diner for breakfast and it was about 30 seconds away — I parked and looked over my shoulder at the parking lot we’d just left. River views from some rooms, cute parks and the Glass Museum very nearby.

Stayed here for two nights back in August. Never been to this area before but just decided to book a room here cause the prices were good. Im glad we picked the radisson because basically we were in walking distance of everything. The hotel is really nice inside. The hallways upstairs were kind of interesting. The rooms were up to date. I didnt find anything wrong with the room. The bathroom was really clean and the room itself. Probably the first hotel bed that I had a good night sleep on.
Although, the doors in the hallway woke me up when someone came in. The pool looked nice also, but didnt go in. Overall, the room was really cozy.
Few days later we relocated to another hotel in Geneva because we were exploring the Finger Lake Region. The hotel in Geneva was more money and not so up to date, I thought the Radisson was alot better.
Next time I come back to Corning I’m deffinitly booking my stay here.

We had a nice stay here August 1 – 4. Sleep number beds are somewhat comfortable. Entry doors are very loud when closing. It’s in need of new carpet everywhere. On the upside, gym is nice, close to market street shopping, close to museum of glass, upgraded bathrooms, staff was very nice and attentive. Great stay overall!

Had a really great night here. Got to try out a sleep number bed. Apparently, I’m a 60… Room was large, comfy, and clean.
The front desk staff is awesome! They’re friendly and courteous. Their customer service went beyond my expectations. Patrick is awesome and deserves a round of applause!
It’s really easy to get to the Corning Glass Museum from here, and close to shopping and dining in the area. Next time I’m in the area, I’ll be staying here.

Great location for visiting downtown Corning! All the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Beds were very comfortable, excellent water pressure in the shower, and the rooms were quiet. Our room was on the small size and a bit pricey for being in the middle of the state, IMHO. We appreciated the free water bottles in our rooms and coffee and apples in the lobby on the way out. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that needs something within walking distance of Market Street.

Nice big clean rooms and there was a sleep number bed! Stopped in town for a night and stayed here. Very convenient location, and nicely updated rooms.

Called ahead and got a room reservation. Used online reservation site to find the best rate and then called. Best rate was government rate, followed by AAA, then Seniors. I was able to use AAA to my advantage.
Great room, nice, nice hotel! Indoor pool, on-​site restaurant and lounge, a business center, free wi-​fi. Within walking distance of the businesses along Market Street.

I only spent one night here, and was pretty exhausted so I basically just went to bed. The staff that I encountered was really nice, and the place in general is what I would expect out of a Radisson. Also the décor is very modern, I kind of felt like I was walking into a concept design of future rooms. I found the lack of available electrical outlets annoying. Even where they have the coffee maker sitting, there’s nowhere to plug it in! I had to move it over to the night table where there was an outlet! It’s not that big of a deal, but come on, when they were putting the coffee makers in the rooms, no one said «hey, where’s the outlet for this?»
On the plus side, the wireless internet was actually pretty good — usually hotel interner is horrible.

While it is the best hotel in town I am not sure that is saying a whole lot. Great location, rooms were updated, but I HATED the beds. My sleep number bed didn’t want to adjust at all so I woke up each morning with a sore back. I was there during the NASCAR race and they were charging $ 300 a night for the room, so I am sure that raised my expectations some. Because of that… I have to say they fell short.
