Established in 2012.

One World Dragon Boat was created to provide a healthy, athletic and supportive outlet for LGBT members and their families to train and participate in the centuries old paddle sport of dragon boating for fun and competition.

OWDB’s mission is to remove barriers of discrimination, bigotry and injustice that fragment society and keep people separate from each other.

OWDB seeks to raise positive awareness of the LGBT community through exposure and inclusion by providing dragon boat education, training, clinics and festivals for the community at large. As athletes and good will ambassadors of the sport our paddlers will participate in regional, national and international dragon boat competitions because we believe a more just, peaceful, loving and inclusive society will be created through exposure and positive one on one interactions.

Business Owner

Dee is a fifth year paddler and third year Coach. She is a member of the US National Club Crew that will be competing in Kiev at the World Championships September 2013.

Dee is a graduate of Jim Farintosh’s 2011 Bow Wave Training Camp. Jim is a world renowned coach who’s led many Canadian National Teams to victory. He also coaches the Mayfair Predators a highly ranked Canadian premier team.

The picture above was snapped September 1^st in Milan, Italy at Idroscolo during the 2012 ICF World Dragon Boat Championships. The field consisted of fourteen countries. The US National Team proudly brought home 11 Medals. While there, Dee paddled on the Masters Womans and Masters Mixed 20 man boats. She proudly returned home with 1 Silver and 2 Bronze Medals.
