NOTFAMILYFRIENDLY!!! Do not stay if you have a family, this hotel majors on business travel and families are definitely looked down on and treated very badly by the staff.

Don’t eat the breakfast. Don’t make the same mistake I did. I spent an hour throwing up afterwards and it ruined my whole day as I was too nauseous to do anything.

Although I do not typically complain about hotels and stay in many, this has dubious and noteworthy distinction– Worst hotel stay in a very long time. Hilton honors member — had my reservation given away, then they only had a smoking room available, night clerk made no effort to apologize or comp for the ash tray of a room(my profile And original reservation was for non smoking). Went to fitness center only to find broken equipment. Got on treadmill– 5 minutes into run, electrical breaker for the entire room failed. Clerk tripped breaker back and said it wouldn’t happen again. 5 minutes more on treadmill and breaker tripped again– apparently staff knows of this issue and has not taken steps to fix it. Poor reservation management and poor maintenance are not the norm for hilton hotels– I will not stay in this hotel another night.

This is a nice enough property, but I checked in and checked right back out again. The reason? In a word, Febreeze. The room was pungent with the smell of it, and it was enough to cause me an asthma attack, had I stayed. I spoke with both the director of housekeeping and the assistant GM, and they both said corporate is to blame. I admonished them both, as they’re the ones who are in contact with the public. They offered me another room, but I needed fresh air, so I left. For the record, these so called air fresheners which we are so blithely using are poisonous chemicals, and I wish we’d all stop using them.

They use a ton of scented Febreze. Yuck. I could taste it in my mouth. Trying to poison me?

5 am wake up call I didn’t ask for(the irony of which is the manager switched my room from the room by the kitchen so I wouldn’t be woken up by the 5 am noises of breakfast being made)? Complete lack of outlets by the bed(even pulled the nightstand out… No luck)? Two stars for the pleasant employees.

For a Hampton Inn I do feel this is as good as it gets! I was very pleasantly surprised upon arrival… very neat and attractive grounds and lobby. Also lots of autumn decorations around, giving the impression the staff really takes pride in how the customers feel when they arrive. Every staff person I encountered or spoke with was friendly, smiling and helpful. My room was very comfortable and looked as if it had been recently renovated, but the whole hotel looked that way so perhaps it is a newer location. The free breakfast was ok, pretty typical, but if you stuck to cereal and fruit, or bagels or waffles, it was actually good. I recommend this Hampton Inn wholeheartedly and will definitely stay there when I return to the area.
