In years gone by, this block was the sewing center for Corinth. Hancock Fabrics occupied the building at the end of the block. Hancock Fabrics, now a Fortune 500 company headquartered just down the road in Baldwyn, left the small towns for the big city.
Meeks Sewing Center now stocks machines and does full service for existing machines for those who still practice this ageless skill. My mother has relied on them anytime her sewing machine has needed service for part of two centuries.
