History

Established in 2014.

About 8 years ago, my dog had his annual checkup with blood work and his liver enzymes were elevated. I immediately started researching what could cause this. The first thing that came up was poor quality dog food!

We as consumers think that if it’s on the shelves at the store then it must be safe. I have learned through research and personal experience with my own pets, that that statement, couldn’t be further from the truth!

After learning that there is a difference between pet foods and how they affect the health of our pets, I felt so compelled to let other pet owners know about what I had learned, that I decided to risk it all and open my own 100% natural/​holistic pet food store!

And, Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming Memphis was born!

Hi, and thanks for taking the time to learn more about me and why I opened a natural pet food store. I’m the crazy dog lover that decided to make a career change in midlife. I’m a blue collar worker that ended up having to hock everything I own to come up with the funds to open a pet food store.

Hind sight is ²⁰⁄₂₀ and I should have become a veterinarian when time would have been on my side, but since it’s not, I decided to open a natural pet food store where I could still play a role in helping pet owners keep their pets healthy, naturally!

I’m not a sales person, nor have I taken a class from a food rep teaching me how to sell their food. What I’ve learned about pet food comes from first hand experience with my own pets plus lots and lots of research!

So to sum up me and the reason I opened this store in a nutshell… «I’m here to help you help your pet live a healthy, long life naturally, not sell you a product that you don’t need.»
