I went here for lunch one day with my coworkers. And was pleasantly surprised at all the different choices that were available. It was set up buffet style so you can get as much as you want .I don’t remember the price but I don’t think it was expensive at all. I would go here again for my next craving of Indian cuisine.

My favorite Indian restaurant in town. Their Naan is always the best I have ever tried. Highly recommended to those who want to try authentic Indian cuisine.

My family has been coming to this location for years. I’ve visited this location at least 20 – 30 times! Obviously, I enjoy everything enough to return. The food is amazing and packed with flavors. In my opinion the bread is something that sets this location apart from other Indian buffets who normally have theirs on the buffet line. Instead they bring you fresh bread to your table that tastes like it’s just come out the oven. I don’t recommend ordering soft drinks here. I’ve found it to be slow and it’s possible they charge for refills(I’m not 100 percent sure). Regardless there’s no sense in filling up on Coke or Sprite. If you enjoy Indian food or are the least bit adventurous you should try out this restaurant.

Wonderful flavors and excellent service. Buffet ya’ll. A friend and I tried this for lunch Wednesday and we both loved it. I don’t know anything really about Indian food so I may not be a good judge and I don’t really know what the dishes are or are supposed to be like but there was a lot of flavor in everything there. I’m sure this food is toned down from what its supposed to be, but I suspect it is too spicy for some. It is just right for me. I especially liked the spinach with the cheese curd things. Also there was some kind of red smoked chicken thing that I don’t believe is really chicken. I’ve butchered chickens before and never found this bone. I think it was pigs feet or goat feet and they try to call it chicken. Whatever it is, it is delicious. The buffet is on the small side if you are thinking about Chinese buffet, but this may be the norm for Indian, I don’t know. You get some rice on your plate and then top it with a curry or whatever. then you can wrap it in the flatbread. I tried some of everything. The food doesn’t strike me as being very photogenic, so no photos. The down side is they told me when I asked that the buffet never changes. It is exactly the same day in day out. I felt like the buffet is too small not to rotate a variety. The up shot is that there are lots more choices on the menu if you know how to order. I loved it. I’ll be back!

When we first walked in I thought we may have made a mistake going here. The décor is some what bland and the restrooms although clean where somewhat run down. Service was slow and the waiter’s were English challenged. However once the food arrive we were pleasantly pleased. I would not call our family Indian Cuisine specialist’s but we really enjoyed the food. If you are looking for something hardy and different. Try this place out its not bad. We will certainly return.

My brother and I frequent this spot about once a week for the lunch buffet! They switch up the dishes so it’s not the same entrees every time. The naan is brought out freshly baked every few minutes. And the staff is very friendly! Soooooo delish!!!

Came in for the lunch buffet with my family. The food was pretty good for the price. The naan was delicious and well made. I liked the salad bar. Lots of good chutney. The potato fritters were great. The panneer tasty and the chicken curry was also good. The people who work here were also great and it’s location in a large shopping mall makes it convenient.

Not a good overall experience. My husband and I came here for dinner. We were staying around the area and searched for a place to eat. This place came up as the first one with four stars. I expected the food to be decent and the service to be OK since there was no complaints in any reviews I saw about it. I was wrong. The server was kind of rude and no smile at all. Since it was our first time here, I asked the server for suggestions for chicken and lamb dishes. He pointed out the same dish for both chicken and lamb. Why would I want to eat the same thing with two different kind of meats??? Our server never came back to check on us at all as well, but he did stop to check on other table next to us.

Came in for the lunch buffet. I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. Excellent food, polite and attentive wait staff(my water glass was never empty). The naan they serve with the buffet is excellent, nice hint of garlic and goes well with the vegetable dishes. Definitely recommend the tandoori chicken on the buffet. Keep in mind that I’m new to Indian cuisine. So the tastes were mild enough for someone like me and the variety appealed to my adventurous side. Great deal for 9 bucks. I’m definitely coming again!

The presentation of the Tandoori dinner is awesome– it comes out sizzling on a cast iron plate and smells wonderful. My husband ordered this and really enjoyed it. I ordered the madrasi chicken which was good but not as good as others I’ve had elsewhere. The naan was probably the best I’ve ever had, and the mango lassi was super mango-y rather than yogurt-y which I liked. Now comes the bad news. The bathrooms smelled horrendous like a backed up sewer. Then we both got sick later that evening. So unfortunately, we will not be back here.

I always love going to Bombay House for«date night» with my sweetie. It’s nice and cozy with just the right amount of lighting for a pleasing atmosphere. The waiters are not overly aggressive but still very attentive. My favorite thing about this restaurant is the big selection of vegetarian food! The prices are about equal to other Indian restaurants in Memphis, and worth every penny. I usually order the Aloo Matar because of the potatoes, peas and spicy tomatoey richness but sometimes order the vegetable curry because of all the veggies in it i.e. cauliflower, bell peppers, potatoes, onions and peas. The Garlic Nann is an ideal accompaniment to the saucy goodness of the meal.

I have just finished the most amazing rogan josh I have ever eaten. The entire meal was phenomenal, actually. The service here was wonderful, with everyone being attentive and the food arriving quickly. The girl had chicken vindaloo, which was also fantastic. All together, it was a wonderful experience, and I will definitely be returning.

Standouts: malai kofta, chicken kebabs Good: lamb meatballs Meh: saag paneer, gulab jamun By far the best Indian restaurant in Memphis. I went with my family and future in-laws for their lunch buffet, which is a good value at $ 9. The food was so good that we booked them on the spot to cater out wedding reception. The lunch buffet food was mild enough for my spice-averse Southern family to enjoy, but flavorful enough for my Indian in-laws to approve. Bombay House did not water down or cheapen the flavor quality of their lunch dishes as you see in other buffets. The malai kofta(balls of potatoes and vegetables in a tomato cream sauce) was the consensus favorite for being creamy but cut in with flavor from the tomato and spice mixture. Bombay House adds cream to their saag paneer, so it reminded me more of an Italian or creamed spinach than saag dishes I have had. The chicken kebabs were served with onions and grilled peppers marinated in tomatoes and spices, which made the kebabs pop, so don’t forget the side veggies!

There aren’t many Indian places on Memphis to begin with. So when I heard about this place I had high hopes, since Bhaarat and Curry Bowl had been very good. We ordered the Chicken Tikka Marsala, Lamb Korma, and Plow rice. Everything tasted good, and service was great. It was just the flavor were muted when compared to the other Indian restaurants. When I ordered my Chicken Tikka Marsala, I asked for spicy. The waiter asked if I as sure. I confirmed that I was sure. The actual spice level was not above just regular black pepper. I love spicy foods and if it doesn’t give me the hiccups, it’s not hot enough. Lol I would not go back, just because I feel like I’m eating my meal without the real spices or seasonings.

Bombay house doesn’t really look super fantastic when you walk in, but it was amazing. We started out with vegetable samosas, which were absolutely splendid. I ordered the vegetarian meal. I was extremely pleased with the vegetable curry and relieved that everything really was mild(I am a gigantic wimp). My boyfriend got the tandoori chicken and loved it. It was an excellent experience and we’ll likely return.
