The worst service ever! Woman was rude and ignored me after I told her what I wanted. One person said she would give me ranch dressing and then another said it cost money. Horrible management!

It’s been years – several years, in fact – since I last ate Sbarro pizza. I used to have Sbarro all the time when I was a kid. Whenever we’d go to the mall, we’d usually grab a slice of Sbarro’s thin-crust, New York-style pizza in the food court. These days, I prefer fancier pizza – wood-fired crusts and gourmet toppings are on my pizza menu now. But every now and then, I get a hankering for a trip down memory lane. When I spotted Sbarro in the Pittsburgh airport, I figured, why not. I ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza. It was as greasy as ever, with that tough, almost cardboard-like crust. I should hate it. But I didn’t. It was a nice bite of comfort food before taking flight back to California. Even the fanciest of foodies has a guilty pleasure, and trashy pizza is mine! Sometimes it’s the simple things – often guilty pleasures – that comfort us while traveling, be it trashy gossip magazines or food court pizza. Was it the most refined meal? Definitely not. Was the service good? Not so much. But it was just what I needed after a whirlwind business trip.
