History

Established in 2011.

Cindy Sharpe was raised in Coralville, graduated from Iowa City West High School and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Iowa in 1984.

She taught high school for one year in Iowa and two years in Florida. Cindy also worked as a Training Coordinator for Summit Consulting, Inc. which was administrator for the third largest employer self insured workers compensation fund in the state of Florida. She has also been a self employed citrus farmer and owner/​manager of a nationally known aviary and import/​export business.

Cindy is a second career attorney. After having personal experience as a client in the areas of Estate Planning, Business Law and Family Law, she decided to become an attorney. She graduated from the Universtity of Florida Levin College of Law in August of 2008 and has been working as an attorney since 2009 in the Corridor. Her experience as a family business owner and an attorney adds quality and broad dimension to her practice.

Cindy believes in giving back to the community. She sits on the bosrd of the Iowa City Community School District Foundation which helps to financially support projects such as the Technology Campaign, with their goal of putting a smart board in every classroom and providing instructor training for their use. The Foundation supports numerous other programs throughout our schools that benefit every child in every classroom.
