Park Place at Turtle Run

OK I’m a fan of the place. However I am as I rented an apartment (not a complex) and was pleasantly surprised to find it had a small gym, 2 racquetball courts, a tennis court and a place to vacuum your car. Plus if you’re swimming in the pool and sunbathing in the new loungers you can sneak into the lounge area and help yourself to coffee and even a cookie or three. Office staff are great, Maintenance Department very responsive (that is on the two occasions I’ve needed them in the almost two years I’ve been here).
The place has a Key West feel about it with very quiet and friendly neighbours.

This place is a joke for an apartment complex. They charge rents just a tiny bit less than the gated communities in the area. I’ve lived here 13 days. The hot tub has been out of service for 5 of those. The gym can only be accessed while office workers are here. If you get in before they leave you can stay till between 9 & 10 when everything (pool, spa& gym) gets locked. So when I get home at 8pm I can only look at the gym that’s open till 9.
I told them on the 3^rd, 5^th, & 9^th days that the hot & cold water were reversed on the washer. Still has not been corrected. I could do this myself but I won’t move the stacked washer combo for fear of ripping the cheap linoleum flooring.
The kitchen & bathroom laminate countertops were painted! I prepare food on and use bleach to clean my counters. How long is paint going to stand up and how healthy is that?
Will most likely be paying the $ 1000 to break this lease because honestly I’ll pay 50 to a hundred more a month to be able to access the amenities that the rent is supposed to include. The service department responds fairly quickly but if you list several problems as I have since the place wasn’t move in ready when I moved in they don’t fix all problems.
