Big Mike’s Baking Company

Just discovered Big Mike’s today and couldn’t be more pleased. We ordered a lemon blueberry muffin that was delicious. I also ordered the danger chocolate bar to go. I just finished eating it and now I wish I ordered more. It was amazing! Another plus of Big Mike’s bakery is Big Mike. He has a great personality and truly made us feel welcome. I am looking forward to going back. Truly outstanding!

Fantastic! I have been looking for a cupcake place in Coral Springs for awhile, Big Mike’s hit the nail in the head! Where do I start. First off its owner operated so you know there is love in these damn cupcakes. Big Mike, well he makes the place, he is so vibrant and charismatic that you just want to sit there all day hanging with him, but alas he must run his empire. If you are fortunate to go in and meet him, you will get it. He makes everyone feel welcome. If you are looking for that one guy to be the face of an organization, Big Mike is that guy!
His cupcakes, fantastic, rich, creamy, just right. I didn’t even know they were gluten free until I got back and started to read the reviews. Seriously gluten free stuff tastes this good.
If you are looking to cater a cupcake party, go see Big Mike, if you want to have a cup cake party and need a venue, go see Big Mike, if you are looking for a fun thing to do, go to Big Mikes to design your own cupcake.

Big Mike’s is the place for gluten free treats! This is a dedicated gluten free facility! Delish! I will definitely be back! The only bad part is it’s a little hard to find. Business is located on the north west corner of Wiles and Coral Ridge. If you parked at the gas station, you’re in the right place! I had a Cin-​a-​Bön cupcake. It was wonderful. I can’t wait to go back. Please try this place out. A business like this with great baked goods and such a nice guy as an owner has to stay around!

This is a hidden gem. I stopped by while getting my car washed and was pleasantly surprised when I tried their gluten free zucchini bread… nothing short of amazing. I even bought extra for some friends at work. A healthy solution to satisfy your sweet tooth. They even have fresh pressed juices and gourmet cakes. Very friendly service. I highly recommend.

Amazing taste
The cupcake was moist and you actually taste the strawberry in the cake. Most people will lose it content and the frosting isn’t to thick and just right. Very nice guy with vibrant energy. Open area and you can see outside and it’s beautiful and very remote and accessible.
I will go back for different flavors as soon as I can.

My wife and I are both celiac and had the pleasure of meeting big mike and enjoying his baked goods, smoothies and juices while on a house hunting trip to parkland from Southern California. Love the food, organic juices and smoothies were outstanding. Nice to find a place like this on FL! He and his wife takes there time making good food that is safe and we appreciate it. For my birthday, while visiting family in Coral Springs, I had a craving for a cupcake. Being gluten intolerant, I had low expectations of being able to find something closeby. Found Big Mike’s on Unilocal,and gave it a try. We arrived a few minutes for closing. The bakery is adjacent to a Chevron gas station and it wasn’t easy to fine. I’m glad we stuck with it though. Mike was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about his product. The cupcakes were gorgeous, and there were other tempting baked goods too. We ended up leaving with ALOT more than I planned to lick up, and at a very good price. The lemon cupcake with blackberry and blueberry icing was light, fluffy, and had just the right balance of sweetness and lemony flavor. Perfect. I didn’t try the other cupcakes offered to family, but they were very impressed and can’t believe that sans gluten baking can taste so good. We have a vegan brownie, applied spice cake, and chocolate cupcakes to try tonight, and I am looking forward to enjoying them, but would prefer not to share with others.

The reason I am taking one star off, is because the atmosphere and people working there always seem confused. Don’t get me wrong, they are always nice! In the few times I have been there, the owner (he appears to be the owner), is only able to speak to one person at a time, and completely ignores anyone else. On several occasions I have walked into this small store and no one greats me, no one looks up at me, and the owner just continues his conversation (usually very long conversations) until another girl comes out from the back. I don’t expect him to stop his conversation, but just a quick look over in my direction to say, «we will be with you in a moment!» would be nice.
Another star is coming of for my first visit here. I ordered 4 cupcakes and when I got home, they gave me all the wrong ones. When I called, the owner answered the phone and could care less. He half-​heartedly said sorry, and offered NO solution.
Made me very sad that the food is so great, but the customer service is very lacking, especially from the owner.

Every day I pass this place wanting to try it. Having an autoimmune disease, they say having a gluten free diet is better than not but I was always nervous about trying it only because of what people say about it. So, it’s down the street and had to try it out. And although this wasn’t a meal, I have to say their zucchini bread (which I’m never usually a fan of) and peanut butter banana smoothie definitely rocks. The people that run the place are very nice as well. I only wish they were open earlier. I tried going to get breakfast here a few days ago around 8am, and they were closed. Can’t wait to try more of their product!

Accidently stumbled on this gem getting gas at a near by gas station of all places. Skeptical at first because of its locale but sure glad I went inside. Started juicing this year and have been looking for a nearby juice and smoothie place. Think I found my spot! Big Mike gave me the 411 on his menu and guided me to the perfect smoothie. Decided to also try one of his cupcakes because I am a sucker for red velvet. Neither disappointed. Matter of fact his red velvet cupcake might be the best one I have ever had! Taste, great ingredients, and excellent customer service. Definitely will be coming back for more of his menu! Not to mention he’s right around the corner from Parkland!

I’m so excited this place is here! Fresh pressed organic juices and organic baked goods :-) AND ITS SO GOOD! Get the zucchini loaf… delish! Nicest people too. I will definitely be in here regularly.

Big Mike’s is a great addition to the community! Just What we needed! There is something delicious for the whole family! Who knew shrimp and grits would make for an incredibly yummy breakfast?! Love that everything is gluten free and organic when possible! Can’t wait to go back!

This is too delicious to be gluten free! I discovered a few years ago that I have celiac/​gluten allergies. To my dismay I found that mostly everything that we consume has gluten in it. For a foodie like myself, this was soooo disheartening! I could no longer eat like I used to and any GF product that I found tasted like crap (pardon my language!). That is until I stumbled upon Big Mike’s Baking Co!!! I walked in the store and was greeted by Big Mike himself… what a nice person he is! It’s rare that you receive such great customer service. We quickly bonded over our allergy stories. But I shed a tear when I bit into one of his red velvet cup cakes (I literally did cry a little)! It was heavenly… AND Gluten Free! I couldn’t believe it!!! I didn’t stop there, I tasted his vegan brownies, his almond biscotti cookies, and washed it all down with some cold pressed juice (I suggest the tropical one). I have to tell you, Big Mike’s Baking Company has been my light at the end of the tunnel. I can now eat tasty food again which makes this foodie very happy! I went back the next day for his shrimp and grits… OMGoodness!!! Soooo incredible!!! Honestly, the best food ever! Oh wait, you’ve just got to try the energy bars too!

Very cute little shop that does baked goods as well as cold-​pressed juices & smoothies. They have fresh daily items as well as taking custom orders. Cakes, cupcakes, energy bars, breads, cookies, brownies, and breakfast items…(they even make gluten free wedding cakes!) The food is good & the owner is really friendly. Their daily items rotate so if you’re looking for something specific, you have to call ahead and order it. They don’t make any gluten products at all, so there is no room for cross-​contamination & they also cater to most other allergies through their custom orders. I definitely recommend them for anyone who is looking, gluten-​free or not. Their items are really moist and delicious!
