Extremely disappointed. For a family owned business there is absolute no understanding for customer service. Rude and erratic behavior. Just was trying to have event there. Definitely do not recommend.

Came here for a friends birthday for a wine tasting. I was excited because I love wine & I had been wanting to go to a wine tasting for some time now.
The guy that was helping us really knew his stuff about wine and was very helpful. I really enjoyed all the wines I tasted especially the sparkling wine.

Came all the way from WPB for a wine tasting and to check out the store. Impressive selection of wines. Wish we could be closer!

Arrogant and pretentious. The staff apparently feels like they are better than you… my 2^nd review ever so that should tell you how annoyed I was with this place

Snobby staff, they don’t really try to make you feel comfortable when asking about wine.
Don’t even think of answering your phone in the store. They will kick you out… Literally

I have been several times here. Good selection of wines but the service has always been extremely rude and arrogant. Today I called to asked for their business hours, the guy on the phone couldn’t have been more displeased about the call. He just basically said «I’m open till I’m done» with an attitude. When I asked him what that meant he just repeated that. You have been black listed! Ton of other places to get good wine in Miami, I like going to the small businesses but I like to be treated right.

Wolfe knows wine. Jeffrey Wolfe the owner, has been a pillar of Miami’s culinary community for decades. He brings his expertise and passion to each sale and treats his customers like family. Whether you are a Sommelier or just someone who needs to buy wine… this is the first and best place to do your shopping.
My Miami law firm is just down the street and we have ordered cases of wine and single bottles to give as gifts to friends and staff and they have all raved about the quality. Plus Jeff uses a distinctive red bag for his individual bottle purchases that people just love.

My boyfriend and I absolutely love this place. The owner really goes out of his way to get to know his customers. There is a wide variety of wines to choose from. I have to say it’s difficult for us to try and buy wines elsewhere. This is a true gem and we are lucky to live a few steps away. Also, they have several weekly events for wine tastings.

AMAZING selection of small production juice. The owner, Jeff is a treasure trove of knowledge and he’s always happy to help, no matter what your budge. It’s my go to spot for great value weekday wines as well as for those special occasion bottles. They also have a great selection of organic and biodynamic wines and have amazing tastings every Friday. A gem in the Gables.

Just a short review here…
My father loves this place; he has spent a considerable amount of time getting to know the owner, and always takes me to the Coral Gables shop to pick out wines for the meals I make when visiting my family. I must say that I have never been let down by Jeff’s talent in picking the «right» wine for each meal.
I think that the reviewers who focus on the prices here may be missing the point a bit. This is not a clearinghouse of wine; it is a boutique, specialty wine shop that probably doesn’t get the same discounts as a large distributor like Total Wine or Crown. I believe that what you get for the price differential is access to Jeff’s palate and experience he cultivated over many years. To me, it’s worth it — every time.
I agree that his selections of French wine are wonderful — I especially enjoy his penchant for selecting wines from smaller producers and knowing the stories behind them. Every time I’ve been in the shop, I have greatly enjoyed learning more about these wines by speaking with Jeff, and hope to do so for many years to come.

We love our neighborhood wine shop. Tucked away with a narrow entryway and unassuming storefront — you might walk right past it — and that would be a shame :)
First thing — sign up for their mailing list so you get notice of their new arrivals, specials and frequent wine tastings.
For a modest size shop — we have found a full range of surprises and rare labels. As well as delicious, affordable alternatives for everyday drinking that you won’t find at other shops.
I often walk in the shop with only an idea of the type of flavor and drinking experience I want for the evening — and within minutes — the staff has at least three suggestions that meet my criteria — and I have yet to be disappointed by a recommendation!
Finally, it makes me feel good to do my part in supporting great small businesses.

This was my second visit to this wine shop. Great little boutique wine shop with very friendly service. I walked around the entire wine shop checking out everything. It is very obvious the wine buyer really enjoy’s French wine. The French selection was basically about 60% off the wines. The Spain, Chile, and Argentina selections were just OK.
Cute boutique but I prefer when shops have an ample amount show casing every region. The US, and Italy were really bad with very little to chose from. As a buyer for many years regardless of what you like it is to your benefit when operating a wine shop to have a great selection for everyone’s taste.
Prices were above average also.
If you are in the area and in need check them out, the service is very good, you may pay a bit higher, and not get what you are looking for but I am sure they can turn you on to a nice French wine, they have plenty.

If you want to talk wine with a guy who knows wine then visit Jeff at his shoppe. Once upon a time he was Norman’s go to wine guy so he had to be and is creative. If your smart you’ll get on his social network and the enjoy the weekly blast. Almost every friday Wolfe’s has a tasting that’s just a whole lot of fun and very creative. I haven’t done it, but I am pretty sure that you could get a pour and read a book for a while at the big zinc table in the back and spend a few hours just relaxing. Jeff knows his wine, makes quality and reasonably priced suggestions and will become a friend if you want. It’s a a great place.

Before we met our good friends Michelle (wine goddess) and Dom, I had to rely on the advice of strangers to decide what kind of wine to splurge on in those special occasions that require a special bottle. A short stroll to Wolfe’s was always the solution.
Their selection is simply staggering. You will find the right one for whatever special reason you may decide to go a little more «upscale» than what the regular liquor stores carry.
Additionally, they are constantly hosting events geared towards educating the community in the art of wine — pairings and more.
Sadly my asthma now gets triggered by the tannins in wine, so I have to choose wisely when to drink and pay the price later … any given Unilocal Elite event for example … is a great opportunity to consume some vino.

Don’t get me wrong, the wine selection is superb and the staff is extremely helpful. But everytime I go there and Jeffrey (the owner) is working I end up leaving with a bad taste in my mouth (pun intended). He’s not exactly a people person. I believe his attitude is bad for business.
I can go to a liquor store and have a better experience!

Rarely do you find such knowledgable staff with such affable personalities and such genuine interest in wine. It is even more rare to find it all rolled into one! The location is lacking, well in ambience but do really need mood lighting and Muzak when we’re purchasing a bottle to-​go? You can take care of that situation later. The prices are fair with about $ 1 – 2 tacked on. The selection is nice. It is not overwhelmingly large nor lacking. It has the varietal you need, about the price you need it in, the staff person to steer you in the right place, and a couple of choices in each. It makes sense. For such service and wine-​g33k knowledge you’d usually pay a fair amount for a Chataneuf-​du-​Pape that you knew fairly little of. This place has no shame in recommending the cheap Verdejo because it is awesome. And it just is.

I recently hosted a wine tasting party (first ever) and came to Wolfe’s for help as I know Wolfe’s hosts many wine tastings. The website claims that for a fee, Wolfe’s will come to your office or home to put together a wine tasting. I simply relied on Jeff Wolfe’s recommendations and did the work myself. After providing him with the theme of my party and my likes and dislikes he took me around the store and recommended some wines. At my request he numbered the wines for me so that I would know in what order to serve them. Lastly, he offered to have someone in the store send me tasting notes if I couldn’t find them myself on the internet.
While the overall verdict on the recommend wines was mixed, I appreciated the time and attention Wolfe’s provided to me.

Freindly, knowledgable staff.
Fun tastings.
Covers allmost all price ranges (But there is no two-​buck-​chuck here).
No attitude like Crown.
