I’ve had great experiences here. My first wax here I did cry but I don’t think I would blame the aesthetician. She was just doing her job and it was my first time being waxed and I have sensitive skin. But every other time has been smooth sailing! They treat you very nicely and make you feel comfortable

I get a full Brazilian wax by daiydia and she is superb. She makes the experience not so horrible and very fast ! Definitely worth it.

I love Uni K! Go here all the time. Excellent service and wonderful staff who are efficient and friendly.

Have been coming to this location once a month for several months and never had an issue. They are always extremely nice and helpful. Dai is incredibly professional, fast and funny. I get a full bikini always and it takes a total of 15 min. The wax is not painful and I am always satisfied with my results.

I have gotten my underarms done at this place about 4 or 5 times in a period of 3 years. Honestly, the only reason why I am giving them one star is because they are never busy; however, come to think of it, their availability is probably due to the horrible service this Uni K location offers. Let me walk you through my previous appointments:
I arrive 10 minutes early, let the receptionist know my name, she YELLS (from her seat) for the esthetician, the esthetician comes out and tells me to follow her (does not even open or hold the door for you), walks in the room, tells me to remove my shirt, stays in the room while I get undressed (sorry, but this is EXTREMELY RUDE), sighs about 5 times (because she obviously hates her job), I lay down, she puts powder on my underarms, does not say a word, puts either really cold wax or really hot wax on, pulls it off slowly, repeats process 5 or 6 times, tells me she is done and… off I go.
It takes her approximately 2.5 minutes to get your underarms blood red, swollen, and still «hairy»… Anyway, I get in my car, drive home, and spend the next hour plucking the hairs she missed.
I would not recommend this place to anyone, unless it is an emergency and you really have nowhere else to go, which is never the case in the Gables.
Never going again.

I have been going to this location on and off for a year and I have had great waxing experience… however yesterday changed that completely!
I had a scheduled app at 5:15. Because of the pouring rain and traffic (not to remind you guys of the lack of parking this place has!!!) I was late… I called ahead of time to let them know I would be late, i also said I could reschedule for another day if it would be an issue, I was told and reassured that it was ok, I called at like 4:50pm, somehow I got a call at 5:20 asking where I was. the girl on the phone said that it wouldn’t be an issue and to drive safe.
When I arrived at 5:35pm, they said that Brisy would take me as soon as she was done with her 5:30pm, AGAIN I said if its an issue I can go with any other person, I have no preference… no kidding at 5:45 I was told by Brisy… dale rapido en el Segundo cuarto (for those that don’t know Spanish… go hurry, into the 2^nd room).no hello, not a smile, just rushed in. I told her the services I needed (upper/​lower lip and nostrils) she didn’t even respond to me, just started throwing wax on my upper lip, it was the WORST experience of my life!!!
she left patches of hair on the top, the bottom portion was done quickly with tweezers (however they charged me for the wax, I still have hair). the nostrils were done so poorly, that you cant tell wax even was near them!!! NOT kidding you within 4mins she was telling me «all done».
usually the person doing the wax gives you a mirror and asks you to check yourself and they put lotion on the waxed parts. THIS DIDNT OCCUR!!! what did occur was me getting up and seeing the mess she did, when I asked her to please try the nostrils and upper lip again, she said I don’t have time and its not that bad. I asked her again to please do it, she did the nostrils with me standing there, she was huffing and puffing upset. (of course it didn’t do much). I just said thank you and walked out to the front desk. the front desk girls were very sweet and gave me the managers name when I explained to them what occurred.
I called 3 times this morning to speak to this Massiel character and shes unavailable… I guess other patrons are keeping her busy complaining about Brisy.
I Wouldn’t waste a penny on this location… I rather drive to Miami lakes or south beach to be treated nicely!!!

New to the area and with any move, I need to find a new place for everything!
My first visits for eyebrows service were satisfactory. They were okay but the wax is what kept me coming back. It was less painful than others…
So I kept rotating people until I finally found Millie! She’s good with direction and has brought my shape back. Any girl can relate to the nightmare it is to picture your eyebrows one way and leave with a completely different shape. So I’m a regular customer now and my eyebrows are looking good these days :-).

I wanted thicker eyebrows so I let them grow out. Once they were ready to be cleaned and shaped I went to Uni K hoping they would do a good job. Although «Irma» was EXTREMELY gentle (I didn’t feel a thing — which is the ONLY reason I gave them the 2^nd star) I wasn’t satisfied with the end result. I specifically asked her to follow my natural lining– which she didn’t do. She also didn’t shape them to fit my face/​eyes. Not only did my eyebrows look much like Kim & Kanye during her pregnancy: FAR, FAR apart, but they were in a strange form. I really can’t explain it but they just didn’t look good at all. Thankfully (most) of my hair grew back and a few weeks later I was able to have my usual «wax lady» (who is 15 miles away from me) fix them.
I was VERY disappointed in the work at Uni K as I expected MUCH more from a place that specializes in waxing.

Irma was so gentle! I have never had this kind of wax and it was so relaxing! Yes, relaxing — like a spa treatment. Removing the wax is like scratching an itch not the painful experience I have had before. The warm wax is relaxing and just peels off when it cools. Soooo cool! I had full legs done and now they feel like a baby’s butt! A great kickstart to spring. I only wish they were in Boston. I will go to the nyc office.

I was looking to get my eyebrows done close by my job and decided to call Uni.K. based on the reviews. It was 12:05 and they had an appointment for 12:15. I walked right over waited almost a whole 5 minutes and was and left 20 minutes later with amazing eyebrows and no unsightly facial har for $ 36. Beisy was amazing. Very detailed in shaping my eyebrows exactly how I like them (high arch). Amazing!

I love this waxing place! I’ve had several of their technicians for my appointments, and they’ve all done superb jobs — both on my eyebrows, and down below. As some people have mentioned, it definitely isn’t a full spa experience, but it is clean and comfortable. You definitely get what you pay for — and more!

I know this may sound crazy but this place is great when it comes to waxing. I am not one to handle much pain, but the procedures are tolerable and quick. As for the personnel, they are great! I personally reccommend Beisy who is very sweet and quick. If I could convince anyone to replace uni-​k-​wax with any other place/​form of waxing i would say do it in a heartbeat!!!

All I can say is that there simply the best out there. Service wise and everything. My lady is Beisy. Im sure there all fantastic but I am loyal to her all the way. She’s awesome.

Uni.k.Wax in Coral Gables is great! Beisy is the best I’ve ever seen with eyebrows. The staff is very friendly and accomidating, even when you dont have an appoitment.

The best way I can describe Uni K is a «wax in a hurry». It be no means has the spa quality feeling but it gets the job done. I had stopped waxing for awhile because I couldn’t stomach the fact that I had to pay 60 $ to get a stranger to rip hair off my crotch but I found this place and paid only 20 $!!! I will say that it felt kinda like a gyn appointment haha… Laying on on a paper covered table in a stall/​cubicle style setting; but the woman (wish I could remember her name) did a great job. She was very soothing and told me her job was part of the womanhood!!! Added bonus they use hard wax which is great because they can re wax over an area if they need to and it hurts less! Give this place a shot!

I forgot to schedule a waxing with my regular waxer in San Francisco before vacationing in Miami, and so I called the day before I left to make an appointment here. I prefer hard wax to strip wax, and this place uses hard wax, so I figured it was a safe bet. I arrived about 40 minutes early (I came straight from the plane, which had landed early), but they were able to squeeze me in almost right away. My waxer spoke very little English, and attempting to use my very little Spanish kept me occupied while the waxing was happening. While not quite up to par as my normal waxer (who is incredible), I did receive a great wax here. Also the price was really great! $ 25 for a full bikini, while I normally pay $ 60 for a Brazilian in San Francisco. Overall, I had an above average experience here, and probably would have given 5 stars if I wasn’t used to my amazing SF waxer.

Yes, it’s me a guy — full fledged male — reviewing a hair removal (wax) place–
Here’s the story, my wife doesn’t exactly enjoy living with the Wolf man, so chest, back, underarms and during racing season legs–
I am sure the ladies will all agree that wax is far better than shaving– Why Uni-​K? well as fellow Chamber of Commerce members, I was invited to their grand opening celebration and met the wonderful staff — contrary to my preconceived notion, these ladies don’t look like prison guards– they were all very cool and informative–
The place is nice, Maciel does a great job at running this branch — but don’t even dream of walking into this location without an appointment — you will wait forever.
I always find it very entertaining when I am perusing through a magazine in the waiting area, how the ladies stare at me probably wondering why I’m there…
Well, my bride is one satisfied customer and I enjoy my smooth chest and hairless back —
There it is… my single metro sexual moment on Unilocal… and it will never happen again.
