Soluna MD

I went to Dr. Chang for Cellulaze. It is approaching swim suit season and I have been losing weight and no matter how much muscle a gain or how toned I get the cellulite won’t go away. I was clear that I wanted to smooth the skin over my thighs and smart-​lipo on the inner thighs that rub. Well he was intent on removing my hips (to him they are saddle bags!). Well I walked in shaped like a coke bottle and walked out looking like a box! Yes, I ignored the red flags like the high pressure sale tactics (you have 1 week to except his price or it goes up by almost $ 2k. And then when I went to pickup my script for antibiotics & pain meds I was informed I need to buy my own post-​op garment and I needed to bring heavy duty overnight period pads to cover my wounds! He left gaping holes in my legs without stitching them. I don’t think he even knows how to stitch. After the procedure I had blood and everything running down my legs. I was awake for the procedure and can feel most of it. They did not require a clearance from my doctor before surgery, just half assed all around so I guess I should not be surprised. I paid him for my thighs & to do the cellulaze on the backs of my arms ($ 5,200 in all). He did my thighs first and I was supposed to go back for my arms. Obviously I did NOT do that. I confronted him at my one week post opt regarding my hips and he dismissed my concerns. So I am out my money and I had to see another surgeon to correct the dent he left in one but check now that the swelling has gone down and to hopefully give me back my hips. So now I have to put weight on to have enough body fat to do the transfer to fix what he did. People are paying big money to have a but and he tried to destroy what God & my mom gave me. By the way, it looks like I never did anything to my thighs, the cellulite still looks exactly the same because he spent all his time on my hips.

Dr Chang was the most professional and courteous dr I have dealt with. He took care of my mother-​in-​law with such patience and care. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Chang and Soluna MD to anyone looking for cosmetic surgery in the Weston area or Coral Gables.

I am writing this review after reading some negative ones. I realized everyone has opinions and sometimes people go in expecting a complete transformation. I think people going in for cosmetic work expecting to be perfect afterwards. That doesn’t happy, ever. No matter where you go.
I have never had a bad experience at Soluna. I have had Dr. Chang do both sclerotherapy (treatment for varicose and spider veins) as well as Botox multiple times. Dr. Chang has always been extremely professional, friendly and open to listen to all my concerns. I read somewhere on here that he was not board certified, which is completely false. He is a board certified surgeon who did complete medical school, residency and surgery fellowships.
I can say that I have never had any problem with the botox that I have received and it always did what it was suppose to do for the lines on my forehead. Likewise, the one time they were not completely gone a week later, I was told to come back in for more at no charge. I also had schlerotherapy for the spider veins I had on my legs. I was in my early 30s when I needed them removed thanks to hereditary. It was a very simple procedure and I don’t recall being rushed nor did it hurt. Dr. Chang was very gentle and explained everything as it was being done. I have never had an issue with them returning since. My father also saw Dr. Chang a few years ago because he had horrible varicose veins. They were huge veins which needed to be taken care of and my father had zero issues during or after the procedure. His legs look 100% better to this day.
I can’t really say much about the staff or front desk. I never had a problem making or scheduling an appointment nor did I have any insurance issues as some have stated they have. It was a typical doctors visit overall with an awesome doctor. At the end of the day I don’t really care how horrible the front staff or receptionist may be. They are not the ones who are treating me. I would much rather have an awesome doctor with potentially not so great staff (if that is the case), rather than great front desk staff and a crappy doctor.

Horrible experience from day one. Doctors recommendation was never followed, Injections were always late. Stay away from this place, I had the owner yelling at me when I called him to explain that I was not receiving my medication on time. Again HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

RUDE RUDE RUDE! Unprofessional and nasty. Too lazy to verify my insurance properly. I got a call from them asking ME to verify MY INSURANCE! They never call back and unless you are rich, they don’t want to deal with you. THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I got my refund back from Groupon for some services! I made sure that the 5 people I referred over there cancelled their appointments.

Dr. Chang is the best! I had vein ablation surgery at his Weston office and am very pleased with the caring nature of the office staff and skill of Dr. Chang!

I was in Florida for vacation and heard about this institution’s hair removal services. I just wanted something real quick that would last the week that I would be in Miami. I went with a few friends of mines and was expecting the trip to be be super quick, and indeed it was.
When entering the first thing I looked at was the cleanliness of the establishment, as that would let me know if I wanted to stay and get service. The place was pretty clean, aside from minimal sweeping that needed to be done. I didn’t have to use the restroom while I was there, but a friend of mine did let me know that it was well kept.
During the hair removal I was informed of everything that was taking place step by step, so that I would not have to ask many questions and the procedure would go by as quickly as possibly. The entire process took about 45 – 50 minutes. I only got my legs and under arms done, and it was relatively painless. Being that I never had it done before, I was uncomfortable at the beginning, but eventually I calmed down and was ok.
I would recommend this place for anyone who wants quick hair removal done. There aren’t prices on the website, but you could call for a consultation. I would actually suggest that. Other than that if you have any questions you can just give them a call.

I went there to remove unwanted hair and they did just what I asked them to do.
I’d go back can’t say anything bad about them really. I would go back! I think it was a good price for what I got. Go try them out!

Healthy lifestyles is hugely promoted because it’s not just great to look good but also feel good by having your health in mind. I highly recommend Soluna MD when you are ready to make «the change» not just try another weightloss program.

I waited 10 weeks to write this review since I needed to see the results of the spider vein therapy I received on January 18, 2013. I have not seen great results. On the contrary, they look a little worse than when I first went in. I’m so disappointed.
I decided to get the spider vein therapy since my pregnancy was no so nice to me and gave me spider veins all over my body most noticeable on my chest and legs. My chest was the part that was affected the most, but CoupTessa offered a promotion from SolunaMD only for the legs. My legs were not that bad, but it was worth giving it a shot since I could see them. I got most of them on the outer thigh of my right leg as well as near my groin on both legs.
Appointment was not difficult to make at all. It was quite easy. The office is located at Village of Merrick Park on the first floor. Very clean and cozy.
I arrive for my appointment and I’m not thrilled with the nurse that was given the duty of providing me the service. She did not have the best bedside manners. She wouldn’t have explained the procedure to me if I hadn’t asked her. It was also very difficult to understand what she was telling me since I assume English wasn’t her first language. I asked her if the procedure is painful and bluntly she said yes. Nothing else. No smiles. No words of comfort. NOTHING. It was painful especially in the back of the leg where your leg bends. Ouch!
A couple weeks pass and I’ve noticed that the areas that were given the therapy look worse by a lot. I’m super worried and I call to speak to someone who can explain the reason to me. Unfortunately, the girl who picked up the phone didn’t know what answer to give me and she said the nurse would call me tomorrow. Tomorrow came and no call was received. I called again the following day to speak to the nurse. She said that some people have these sort of reactions at first and to give it a few months. Well two months have passed and my legs do not look any better. The veins are still there and the ones on my outer right thigh are darker than before. Definitely not happy about this.
I’m scared to go back and get more treatments to see if multiple treatments will work, but I rather not take the chance. I heard laser therapy is much better and efficient than the injections. I will wait for the laser therapy once I can afford it.

STAY AWAY! Dr. Chang is not a board certified plastic surgeon. He scarred me for life with «SmartLipo.» I was left with severe and noticeable lumps throughout my abdomen and hard sides with little circulation.
I had to pay thousands more for reconstructive surgery with a real plastic surgeon using Vaser. I later found out that most doctors don’t even use SmartLipo because it is known for scarring and burning.
BEWARE and do your research. I was fooled by the great marketing and kind demeanor. He is not board certified for a reason. Soluna MD is owned by investors who have the money to get on VH1, it’s not because he’s a good surgeon. Pay the extra money for a real plastic surgeon or you may regret it later like I did.

I have been hesitating to write this review since I believe that if you have nothing good to say, don’t say anything at all. I bought a Groupon to this place for sclerotherapy, and before purchasing it, I did look up reviews on the company to make sure it was legit and got decent reviews. So with that, I did end up purchasing the Groupon, and it was the biggest mistake and waste of money I made. My experience was soooo bad, that I never went back for my remaining sessions.
First of all, as another reviewer stated, they are terrible at answering the phone and returning messages (that should have been a clue, because I did call too before actually purchasing Groupon)
Secondly, Lalani, the RN or ARNP (dear God, I really hope not, because I am one too, and would not like to think of her as a professional collegue) was just horrible. She had NO bedside manner, was not friendly (at all), and at my second visit, I felt like she has stabbing the needles into my legs. I was literally in tears by the time I left. Needless to say, my legs were badly bruised for weeks, looking ALOT worse than how I went initially.
I would not recommend this place. It make me wonder if that’s how they treat Groupon customers, or all their customers in general. If you are going to put your business out there on Groupon (I’m sure no one forced them to), then treat people the same as fully paying customers. You might actually get repeat business.

I used my groupon for sclerotherapy for my legs, is my third week and im still all bruise, pain and it looks worst that the begining. I even have bumps that it feels that the liquid still there stock.
I have nothing against the girl who did my treatment, but she is a nurse and I belive that a doctor is the one who supposed to do this type of treatments. I felt the pinch after one of the employees came inside the room to rush her. She took the tape out of her hand and began to pass the tape to her. I belived since is groupon thats the way they treat patients. I repent sooo much going to this place.
Trust me don’t go here, the location is good, but the inside is Hell !
I think this bruises, the pain and the red marks are not going away any soon.
I have a Doctors appointment next week thats how bad I feel ladies!!!
Look for PROFFECIONNALS NOT THIS PLACE!

I used a Groupon I purchased last summer for scelerotherapy (veins on my legs). First of all, I think a place that advertises for Groupons should have appointments available sooner than 6 to 8 weeks away. I had scelerotherapy done a few years ago (in a different state) and loved the results. I assumed that the doctor would do it, but instead a nurse came in to do it. I have nothing against nurses… I have had some great treatment from nurses at dermatologists’ offices. But, I found out that she was in her early 20s (very early) and had been a nurse for less than a year… and working at the vein center for even less time.
Scelerotherapy seemed like something that could be taught in less than a year since that is a large part of what they do at the center. So, I let her go ahead. She did a trial of 10 injections to see how it would take. I came back a few days later and the veins were still there, so she increased the concentration of the injection (I knew that was standard protocol). I asked that some injections be done on my back, she said the doctor would have to come in to do those and it would cost more than just the group on. I knew it was more than the 50 injections so I agreed. The doctor came in, he was very nice, and did a few the nurse missed on my leg and then did the ones on my hips and lower and upper back.
A week later I several of the injection sites on my legs were very irritated even thought I had done what I was told. I lifted one of the bandages off one of the 3 areas that were irritated (all done by the nurse), and it was open and oozing puss. I called the doctors office and after the nurse was very rude to me she finally got the doctor who told me to come in. He looked at it and said it was actually one of the types of reactions that can happen. he called it a normal reaction. But, he did prescribe me an antibiotic, told me to stay out of the sun, let it dry, then use antibiotic ointment if i wanted. It has been over 6 months and I still have scars on my legs. They are much worse than the tiny spider veins I had before.
I will do scelerotherapy again, but I will looks for a place that has nurses, physicians assistants, and/​or doctors who have been doing the treatment for several years.

Groupon is awesome. My daughter gave me one for spider vein removal (sure I am not ashamed to say why I was here) since I had mentioned that I wanted to do something about them before they turned into a problem.
Each time I was here, the service was great, once I had to wait ½ hour but the second time I was called in on time. The second appointment had to be changed by me last minute from Monday to the Friday prior, and it was done with no problem. This is great business. Everyone I encountered here was pleasant, helpful and very nice.
As for the treatment, it hurt like all hell but that is the nature of the medicine they use, it is pretty much normal for it to be that way. After the first treatment I found the veins gone, but then again my problem was minor, so I am pretty happy.
Best part is after you can go have a coffee at the Village of Merrick Park and browse the awesome stores (read: Tiffany’s and Swarovski)

I had smart lipo performed and was not happy with the results. I went back, paid 400 n did it again; results still were bad! I don’t recommend them for smart lipo procedures…

Is it appropriate to write a review about a place that no one should know you went to? I guess so… and if not, oh well.
I like to point out the very friendly and high quality service of Dr. C and his staff. You almost feel like family here and I guess that is part of the centres success.
I will not go into any procedures here (no clue to you all as to why I am writing this review…) but want to stress the location, setup, service and professionalism instead. The centre is small (not that I have others to compare it to) with only a few service/​treatment rooms, a main and secondary lobby and semi separated waiting area. It seems the right size for what they offer and level of service you receive…
The music is eclectic (I seem to recall it was the Dr. iPod on shuffle…) and scent is also taken care making you almost feel like you are a spa…
Great crossover between discreet doctors service and Zen like body improvement centre.
