History

Established in 2005.

After 25 years with EWM Realty International, Jeannett opened her own firm, Slesnick & Associates, in 2005. Then in 2011, she launched a partnership with fellow broker, Ginger Jochem, forming Slesnick & Jochem, LLP.

Jeannett and Ginger are active in the Coral Gables community, serving on numerous boards: Miami Woman’s Club, The Villagers, Junior League of Miami, Coral Gables Community Foundation, St. Philip’s Episcopal Church, Actors’ Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre, the Coral Gables Garden Club, Coral Gables Museum, and the South Florida Red Cross.

Business Owner

Jeannett’s care and concern for her community and her profession began early in life. She received a degree in geography from the University of Florida. Geography taught her the «why» of where things are in the natural world. Marriage in 1969 to her husband (attorney and former Coral Gables Mayor, now Australian Consul) Don Slesnick, II, Esq., brought her into a new life as an Army wife. The military service took them to Germany where Jeannett worked as a guidance counselor. While Don did a tour of duty in Vietnam, Jeannett found herself at UF again taking rel estate classes. When Don returned home in 1972, they purchase their first home in Coral Gables. Jeannett became a Realtor in 1973. Jeannett and Don share a suite of offices in the AmTrust Bank building off the Ponce Circle in downtown Coral Gables. They have a son and a daughter, and 4 grandchildren.
