Silvia’s Corset Shoppe

After seeing the past review, I had high expectations of the store. Those were shot down pretty much right away. I was «helped» by a lady I am assuming was not Silvia. I asked for a corset, strapless bra. She asked me what size I am, and when I said «34-​C,» she looked me up and down with a face that pretty much said, «well you clearly don’t know your own bra size, but oh well» and handed me one bra. No smiles, no helpful input. I guess I don’t know much about strapless bras because when I tried it on, I clearly needed to go down one cup size. When I came out of the dressing room, she had gone to the back to have her lunch. Now, I understand it must suck when you’re in the middle of your lunch break and a customer is interrupting it. But come on, I tried on 3 different bras, and every time I came out of the dressing room, she had gone to the back again. Now, maybe if she had actually been somewhat friendly or helpful at all, this wouldn’t have bothered me. But from the moment I stepped in the store, I felt like a nuisance. Since I received no help from her in finding the right size, I left empty handed. I am never coming back

Silvia’s Corset Shoppe is THE place to go for a perfectly fitting bra! Silvia is so experienced that she will be able to guess your size just by glancing at you. Chances are that you have been using the wrong size for years. After a quick assessment Silvia told me that I was actually a 34D when I fact I THOUGHT I was a 36C. She gave me several different styles to try on and was able to explain to me why some fit properly and some didn’t so that I can see how a proper bra should fit. Please don’t be fooled by thinking that a Victoria’s Secret bra fits properly! Don’t get me wrong, I still shop at VS for panties and sleepwear, but NOT for bras. Once you get fitted and buy something that feels like it was made for you, you will continue to go back to Silvia.
I purchased a Simone Perele that is both beautiful and comfortable. They also graciously sewed on an extra clasp on the back of the bra so that I had more of a selection in terms of how tight or loose I needed it. I also asked her to call me when she received more strapless bras and when several weeks went by without word I called to check on the order and was told that they were on back order. They assured me they would be in shortly. The following week I called again and was told that they did not yet arrive. I spoke with Jennifer who said that she would be sure to get the bra for me before I left out of town. When she was finally able to get the bra I wanted in my size just two days later, she personally delivered it to me just in time for my trip.
Silvia’s Corset Shoppe has excellent merchandise and even better customer service. I was amazed at how they went out of their way to fulfill my order. Silvia and Jennifer truly are amazing and I highly recommend this store to anyone looking to buy quality bras at a store where the sales people actually know how to properly fit you and really value the art of customer service!
