Specialties

Anthony Rubino is a skilled criminal defense attorney with over 18 years of experience. His practice is devoted exclusively to criminal law. He has successfully handled thousands of criminal cases and is proficient in both State and Federal courts.

History

Established in 2004.

In 1997, Anthony Rubino began his criminal law career at the Miami-Dade County Public Defender’s Office. During his 4 ½ years there, he worked in Juvenile, Domestic Violence, Misdemeanor Traffic, Misdemeanor Crimes and numerous Felony Court divisions where he handled thousands of cases. This broad spectrum allowed Mr. Rubino to gain great knowledge of the vast criminal law arena and allowed Mr. Rubino to form many valuable friendships with fellow attorneys, prosecutors, judges, clerks, bailiffs, corrections officers, probation officers and judicial assistants that continue to benefit his practice today.

After leaving the PD Office in December of 2001, Mr. Rubino then went to work for his father, Frank Rubino, who is a well-known criminal defense attorney in Miami. While there, he learned the ‘business side’ of criminal law and polished his skills while assisting in the defense of many high profile clients. After two years, Mr. Rubino started his own practice in January of 2004.

Business Owner

Mr. Rubino has a remarkable boutique criminal law practice. Mr. Rubino has achieved the distinction of being rated as an AV Preeminent lawyer by Martindale-Hubbell. He accepts a limited number of clients at a time and provides each client with the utmost in service and accessibility. He prides himself on ‘leaving no stone unturned’ in each case he takes on. He never takes short cuts. He always visits the scene of the crime. He takes depositions, writes motions or asks for internal affairs records where it is appropriate to the client’s defense. He watches surveillance video, checks phone and computer records and takes photos when the case calls for it. He will personally locate and interview potential defense witnesses or perform background checks on listed state witnesses. His belief is that by limiting the number of clients that he represents at a time, he is able to represent each client in the manner that they deserve to be represented.
