Do Not Eat Here. HORRIBLE EVERYTHING. I went with my family for buffet lunch ($ 25) the food was Awful!!! It was Cold, Salty, basically everything out of a can! The meat was cold. They had a few ribs and when we asked for more they just didn’t react, few minutes later asked if we were done eating and started to pick up everything out of the buffet. Biggest waste of money.

Very pretty restaurant but lousy food. Everything was extremely salty and greasy. The gnocchi were as hard as rocks. The only reason it’s called Italian it’s because they have pasta on the menu. Not worth the cost of parking.
I gave it 1 star because there’s nothing less.

I’m giving a star cause 0 isn’t an option. Place was absolutely terrible staff did not know what to do. Literally had to clear our own table, they ran out of plates … Never again… save your money

I went out for lunch today with my colleagues anf thought of trying La Plamo for the first time. This is quite close to my office and i was always impressed with the outside seating area whenever i saw this restaurant from outside. As I am vegetarian I usually dont have much options when it comes to eating outside. It was a lunch buffet and was for 13.95. I asked the staff about the few dishes if they are vegetarian. I was told that the pasta is vegetarian and does not have meat. But when i ate pasta I found little pieces of ham in my pasta. That was a terrible disappointment. This is highly irresponsible from the restaurant part that they dont even know what is inside their dishes. There was not even a single food tag on any of the food items. What if someone is allergic to a particular ingredients. How they are gonna know.
To evryone’s surprise, there was big cart of desserts close to the buffet table. When we went there to take desserts they told us that ‘Desserts are not included in the buffet’.
This was not a very pleasant visit to La Plamo. I paid 15 dollars and ended up eating nothing.

Went with my family for Easter brunch and had a wonderful time! The buffet great with an awesome variety of choices, the service was spot on and the mimosas the best! Last but not least the ambience (especially in the terrace) is beautiful! We had a great time and plan on going back!

What a hidden gem located in the heart of Coral Gables. I noticed the amazing courtyard as I happened by… walking along the sidewalk the other day and made it my mission to return. The atmosphere, friendly staff and great lunch buffet are all winners. The beautiful orchids and flora make this a very romantic spot.

Excellent brunch with a delightful duo of perfection in music with Anika and Arlin. These two superstar entertainers played music in 5 languages. Come by on Sunday’s from 12 noon — 2 pm

Very pretty restaurant with a really nice courtyard with tables for eating outdoors. I went for my company’s holiday party. The food was serve buffet style and it was really delicious. The bar was slow but we had free sangria at the table so decided on drinking that.

A large group of us had our holiday lunch this past Friday and most of us were extremely disappointed. The lunch buffet did not have many options and was a mish mash of different cuisines that didn’t go together: congri rice alongside bland, mushy pasta; several mayo-​heavy potato, tuna, etc salads, roasted turkey, ham and pork; and caprese salad. That’s it. I thought this was an Italian restaurant? The offerings were not fresh and tasteless. The «salad bar» was a sad bowl of wilted greens. Not only was the food terrible, but the service was pretty bad too. We never got refills of water; the waiters seemed overwhelmed even though this was a BUFFET where you serve yourself, and there was confusion over whether American coffee was included in the buffet price. It was, but we might as well have been served brown water. The icing on the cake, so to speak, was dessert. There was a dessert cart inside the restaurant, but when it came time for dessert, the cart was gone and instead we only had three options from the waiter: chocolate cake, tiramisu, and «pumpkin cake» which turned out to be pecan pie. The servings of chocolate cake and tiramisu were laughable, really. One square inch «slices» of cake. The tiramisu I ordered was also frozen in the middle. The one redeeming quality this restaurant has is its nice courtyard. Unfortunately that is not enough to make up for the bad food and service.

I was here on Saturday for a bridal shower, they had the restaurant rented out and it was very pretty both inside and out. I thought the waiter service was pretty horrible, the waitstaff barely spoke english and would say they would get you something and then never come back. Two separate drink orders they just did not bring. The food was completely mediocre, I had salmon, it was dried out and the mustard sauce was lacking flavor. I tried the ravioli and it was pretty good, the penne alla vodka tasted like vodka, that was completely unacceptable. There was no parking lot for this establishment and valet was $ 8! The place is very pretty, but bad food, bad waitstaff and expensive valet, is a no go for me. I will not be back.

Went for the buffet lunch and was not disappointed! From soup to salad to seafood to meat there was tons of options, even for vegetarians. The cypress salad, tuna salad, and sliced-​to-​order ham were delicious! The courtyard outside is super cute as well and will be looking to host an event there soon!

Wonderful ambiance and excellent brunch with a nice selection of healthy foods. Live music added to the pleasant experience. Must return

Brunch was delish, mimosas were great and good live music. The service and food is always excellent here, people this is a must try… The atmosphere was calm and very romantic. This place is great to get married. Coming soon to a theater near you!!!

We came for miami spice in 2014 and it was pretty good. Excellent service, beautiful place and good food. Is a little pricey do better keep it for a special ocassion, we were pleased with this restaurant and would go back. Their tiramisu is amazing!

This place has the worst lunch food ever. Food is old and cold and they do not clean up are at all. Do not eat here.

La Palma really started promising when I booked a reservation with Marlon (who is awesome and very accommodating) for a party of 24 people on Saturday afternoon. Marlon gave us a great set menu for the price that we were looking for. Unfortunately, once at the actual restaurant, it was a bit of a disaster. We were given the option of two entrée’s: chicken marsala or penne bolognese. All of the orders of chicken marsala arrived raw to our table. We had to send them all back and everyone got penne bolognese. Some people were given ravioli (which were obviously pre-​frozen). Because they were now scrambling to serve everyone the penne, some of the plates arrived half empty and with very little sauce. While the salad was good, the flan was not very appetizing. I think management needs to have a little more pride in what they are serving to guests for a better experience. Do note that Sunday Brunch here is pretty good though.

Honestly this place is perfect and romantic
I have been there many times, even for a Private Event (Baby Shower)
The food is delicious and on weekends (fri and sat) at 8pm they have a live entertainment which is a singer and a piano player, very romantic as I mentioned before.
They have a Full Bar and Excellent Menu
I have to mention the Beautiful Courtyard with a water fountain and trees. You feel like you are out of Miami !!! Also, They have Valet Parking with an appropriate rate so you don’t have to worry about parking in Gables.

Came for lunch on a Saturday afternoon with my mom. Apparently they are usually closed for lunch on Saturdays but there was a private party going on so luckily they let us in. The atmosphere is very nice. There is a courtyard outside with seating that is a very cute area to eat in.
I had the tortelloni giulietta e Romeo (ravioli with spinach and ricotta in a light red sauce). It was tasty but nothing special. The bread was actually amazing though. It was warm and perfect for picking up my left over sauce.
My mom hd the seared tuna salad. The tuna was great! I had a few bites of the salad and wished I had ordered that instead.
All in all the restaurant has a very nice atmosphere and they serve good food but nothing out of this world for the price.

I went on a Saturday for brunch, it was good but not the best. The best part was the garden and the natural atmosphere that surrounds you while having your meal.
Very pleasant but the food was average.

Random day for a foodie experience, just the way I like it! Sometime a few months ago I stumbled upon a groupon for $ 27.00 that was worth $ 50.00. I tell you Unilocalies, was def worth it. The location is beautiful and the weather was perfect for outdoor seating so we sat outside. We were immediately greeted with water and breadsticks as we waited for our bread to be served warm as we read the menu. I decided to start with a peroni. Delicious cold Italian beer. I ordered crab ravioli in a cream saffron sauce and the boyfriend ordered a veal parm. Both dishes were delicious! We were both full so bypassed dessert, but I still had an espresso. Very very good btw. All was wonderful in regards to the food.
Now, the verdict on the server. C– When we walked into the front door he didn’t greet us. He stared with a blank expression. I asked for a table for 2, he didn’t bother with any pleasantries, just lead us to a table and plopped down the menus and asked if we were going to drink something. (We weren’t offered a wine list or any drink specials) I asked what beers, and he irritatedly began to list them. He came a few minutes later to take our order, and that was the last we saw him until we had to checkout. I wasn’t very impressed by his apathetic behavior, but it wasn’t horrible. If I am to return (likely) I hope my experience is complete with a server that earns his tip. (I didn’t mention the groupon til the end to avoid poor service). I hope to have an updated review and move those 4 stars to 5! Also, a gorgeous place for a baby shower, bridal shower, or graduation party!
