I’ve been to Books & Books a few times for lunch and have always left happy. Their menu is casual and you are surrounded by the book store which feels quaint. Food menu options are quite assorted and they offer reasonable prices. Love the tofu and vegetable stir fry. A parking garage across the street makes it convenient to park and not worry about the street parking meter. Desserts are great and portions are usually on the larger side. Definitely a great pick while in Coral Gables for something different. Feel free to explore this area. Outside as well as inside dining.

My second stop at Books&Books. First for a long visit browsing the shelves. Last night stopped for a bit to eat. Sat in the patio and enjoyed the chicken fajita wrap, served with a side salad. Delicious. Expectations were exceeded. Any time in in town I will be sure to be thinking about another visit.
Love books and good light meal. Lunch or dinner. A drink perhaps? This is the spot in Miami.

Delicious 5 star tofu stir fry! My boyfriend only four star review because my boyfriend gave a 3 stars to his chicken wrap but I tried it and I liked the wrap too so since I’m the one using hisphone to post the review, B&B gets a 5. Music was great too, old Cuban classics, perfect for a nice time under the stars.

This place has great music on the weekends in their courtyard but yet still has a tranquil atmosphere around where the books are. Is the best of both worlds! The service is amazing. The people that work here are efficient and so ready to help you. Make sure to look for Veronica, great server! The food option is not overwhelming with choices but just on point. All six of us enjoyed our meal. My favorite was the kale/​quinoa with the salmon, cooked to perfection. Their desserts… Oh my! So good! I recommend the flourless cake, pecan pie… Ahhh so many delicious choice! Make sure to stop at this place and take your time… You are going to love it!

This is an awesome bookstore and I’m glad I finally had the chance to visit. The establishment itself is beautiful. You first walk into a courtyard with a bar and a few tables and chairs with a stage in the corner. There’s a café and seating in the middle of the building. Then to the left and right side of the building, there are a ton of books and a cash register on each side. The café looks delicious! A ton of cakes displayed, each one looking more delicious than the last. They also sell cupcakes from Buttercream Cupcakes there! Which was a pleasant surprise because 1. They’re my favorite in SoFlo and 2. They did not increase the price on these! They were still $ 3 and heavenly as always. The only reason why I gave this place 4 stars is because it has ZERO WiFi! So it’s not exactly an ideal spot for those wishing to enjoy a coffee while they use their laptop.

Unbelievable bookstore! Have lived here a couple of months and have been wanting to stop in. Finally had the opportunity while out on my morning walk. I didn’t want to leave! Books from floor to ceiling along with a café. I will be going back soon and often!

This is definitely my favorite bookstore. It is very unique in so many ways. First, you walk in to an open area were you can relax with a beverage or you can walk inside. Once inside you will realize you are in a very cool place.
They have a café were you are able to enjoy tasty foods or dessert over a glass of wine, tea, or coffee.
Often they have book signings. I went to one last night and it was fascinating. It was the writer of Well th. He is also the CEO of
. They served chilled beverages for you to enjoy while listening.
If you are in Coral Gables make sure you stop by and check it out.

Went here for lunch after church. Had my all time favorite, Mediterranean Salad with added Shrimp! Yum!!! Place is always clean and the staff very welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend to anyone considering it.

If your paradise is a library, then Books and Books is your haven. After searching through the huge selection of books, I finally settled for The Girl on the Train. I decided to have lunch with my favorite boy and we decided to share a lobster roll (I could of easily devoured it by myself)! We decided to order a bottle of Riesling which complemented the roll perfectly. They have a great selection of magazines as well. This is a great place to just relax and lose yourself in your favorite book. The atmosphere and open terrace are both beautiful and inviting. The service was quick and efficient.
Tip: Wine down Wednesday’s for ½ off wine bottles

I always appreciate good service and the service here was amazing! Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable on the menu. Last time I came here I had the curry chicken salad which was absolutely delicious!
Today I had the chicken fajita wrap; it was good except for the mushy bell peppers… not a big fan of that but that is just a personal opinion. It came with some fresh salad on the side.
One of my friends had the Granny Smith Apple quesadilla. I had a bite and must say I had never tried apple with cheese before and it will definitely not be the last time either! A little on the smaller side, more simple dish but quite tasty.
Another friend had the avocado and cheddar panini and out of the whole table, this was the best! To be honest, mine looked tastier but don’t judge this panini by its looks. Although it looked plain, the pesto sauce gave it so much flavor and you could tell the cucumbers and everything was so fresh because it had a nice crunch to it. This dish also came with a salad. I think next time I’m having this one!
Books and books is the perfect place to come study and have a tasty meal at the same time. They have a nice little patio in the center which I can’t wait to read a book out there once it gets a little colder.

I have been to B&B numerous times over the years. When my daughter was younger we used to bring her here to rummage through their great children’s section. There is nothing quite like bookstores for kids to grow up in.
Even now that she is grown and gone I still find myself wandering around the shelves from time to time for my own adult self!
Not as big and industrial feeling as the remaining Barnes and Nobles. And not old and dusty like the surviving Mom and Pops used bookstores. B&B has been able to tap into the affluent movers and shakers of Miami. High heels, dresses, and suits are not an out of the ordinary sighting for this store on a Friday night.
No small part of that equation are the non-​book-​buying activities that happen regularly. The website does have scads of upcoming events on the landing page. Book signings, book readings, children’s storytime. One does not simply come to Books & Books to buy bound pages. And that’s what keeps people coming back. The store itself is an event.
If you are hungry head to the back and the exceptional café will feed you. The staff will even be nice to you during the process. Pressed sandwiches and soups. Hummus and Salads. Excellent coffees and teas.
Or hang in the atrium and listen to free live music every Friday and Saturday; all while sipping on adult beverages under the stairs. Beer, wine, and cocktails can all be found at the Books Bar nestled in the courtyard’s center.
Come in and pick up a book; shut your cellphone down and stow your tablet. Disconnect to reconnect.

What an extraordinary shop. I don’t know how I had never been aware that such a place existed in my area. It is so lovely, with it’s old wooden floors and high wooden shelves. It was like visiting the library from Beauty and the Beast.
There is a small café in the very back where quiet people sit at little tables, reading books. The courtyard in the middle is the perfect setting for romance or reading– especially when the weather is nice.
We went in to purchase tickets for a book reading and the man at the counter was kind and friendly. He didn’t seem like a person who was only concerned with professional politeness– he went beyond to converse with us. Everything about this place was delightful.

I love it as a bookstore but the food has let me disappointed. I went back for their key lime pie but unfortunately they didn’t have it. I tried their ricotta cheesecake and I was disappointed with the quality of it. I felt like I overpaid for a simple cheesecake that has no flavor and taste. I wish they could update their menu and add more flavor.

There aren’t enough words in the dictionary for me to write how much I love this place. It almost feels like a second home. I’ve spent so many hours here reading books, studying the shelves for my next read, or just drinking a cup of coffee in the courtyard.
There has been so many great events to attend. Writing classes. Author signings. Open mic night. The list goes on. Books & books is of character, and I’m not just talking about the content of the novels. It’s cozy and comfortable to just hang out there all day.
Not only is this a great bookstore, but they also have decent food. The salads are awesome and so is the Mac and cheese!

Yummy place for food. Relax in the bookstore or bask in the sunlight while enjoying a meal.
Perfect ambiance, quick food delivery and nice staff… The only downside is that my Waiter yesterday kept on complaining how there were only two staff members servicing in the clients.

That’s what I used to tell myself for many years… Until I was gifted a Kindle and never turned back. While I still miss that «new book smell,» you can’t beat the convenience and the price of these newfangled ebooks. That being said, there are two reasons I still come to Books & Books:
1) The awesome author events — They have a wide array of authors roll through here and I’ve been able to see some of my favorite writers like Ruth Reichl and Kristin Hannah live. Sometimes they’ll have bigger names like Ricky Martin, Chris Colfer (of Glee) and even President Clinton swing by. Best part of all? It’s free! Of course, if you want them to sign the book, you got to buy a copy. It’s a true treat to be able to see these people firsthand and usually the crowds are small and on the older side. It’s a great way to spend an evening or weekend afternoon.
2) The outdoor café courtyard — It’s cozy and a true hidden gem in the Gables. Oftentimes they’ll have live music to enjoy while eating your meal. I’ve liked everything I’ve ordered and it’s usually pretty light and fresh like the curry chicken salad or wraps. On top of that, they have an extensive wine and beer list. In fact, they were some of the first to introduce me to vinho verde, now one of my favorite white wines. They even have an extensive wine course (about six weeks long) to get schooled in vino which I plan on enrolling in sometime soon!
I definitely prefer this location to that on Lincoln Road. While I probably won’t ever stray from my Kindle, I only hope the book biz stays alive and well so independent bookstores like this continue to thrive.
