My family and I were there and two of us decided to order a Tacu Tacu with churrasco(a $ 20 dish). Unfortunately, this dish did not meet our expectations, we had medium well, but the meat was overcooked with no.flavor. Also, the small onion sauce that came with it was salty. We complaint, the«manager» advised me. that he couldn’t help me. since I had eaten it(even though we had explain to. him that we were there for over an hour, we were hungry and one of the plates were intact) I had gone to Pollos. y Jarras in downtown, a few days before visiting this restaurant and their management and waitresses are. better than this place.

So I’m in town from work and I’m Irish. Why not right? Someone ordered a Pisco Sour so I did too and it’s my new drink. I can’t remember what the name of the dish I ordered but whatever it was it was good. It had fish, mussels, and other seafood stuff all in this really creamy sauce. I’m usually scared of these types of dishes but very glad I ordered it. Lovely ambience. Waitress was attentive and sweet.

I’ve been to this place lately and the service is getting worse and worse, the food took 45 min to come out, the AC was not working, the waiters if they are not serving exclusively your table will not give you a cup of water, they use this radios technology that even if desert its next to them they will radio the order and dessert will take 15 min to get to the table. Will not go back to this place, staff don’t even know how to apologize.

Although it might go unnoticed in the busy Ponce de Leon Boulevard in Coral Gables-Miami, this restaurant is visited by people who work or live around. It’s a calm place where friends can enjoy typical Peruvian specialties. They have a fixed price lunch menu and all plates are large so we suggest you share them. Their jalea is perfectly served, fish comes in right-sized portions, however, what really stands out is their shrimp and calamari served with a delicious salsa criolla. What we liked the most: Jalea Mixta(Crispy seafood mix)

Great service, affordable buffet and wonderful menu options. A 15 minute walk up Ponce from our personal injury law office is one of Miami’s best and authentic Peruvian restaurants. Worth a lunch visit. They get busy so come early.

Arrived around 8pm place was a little empty it was a Monday, the hostess greeted us nicely and were directed to our table, our waiter came promptly to our table ask for our drinks my wife asked for a Cusquena beer something national to Peru but she was told for the past three weeks they been having issues with the vendors, my wife order the three ajies ceviche mixto it seem that the fish, shrimp was just tossed in the sauce not giving it time to marinate she only ate half, I ordered the tacu tacu with churrasco medium well they brought it almost rear, the waiter never during our dinner stop by the table to ask if everything was ok, not until the end of our dinner because we ask for our check, I left half of my food and my wife took half home to give a little more flavor.

Co-workers birthday and she chose this restaurant for lunch. I have to say the lunch Buffett is exquisite, so many Peruvian delights it’s difficult to not over do it, I tried, but failed, lol. They have a vast selection of fresh ceviches, causas, huancaina potatoes, hot dishes included as well, my favorites are the shrimp ceviche– plump extra large shrimps in a sweet and tangy ceviche marinade, and the artichoke lasagna, well you have to try for yourself, scrumptious! The place is clean and the waiter was friendly and efficient. A bit pricey but well worth it, definitely will return.

I was really excited to try this place since I can walk to it. My son and I went on a Sunday dinner date to try it out. I love peruvian food so i was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, it wasn’t anything spectacular as far as flavors or how it was cooked. The fish was tasty, but truly simple fried fish and was over prices. The corn which is one of my favorites was under cooked and still way to hard to eat completely. The service was a bit dry and non personable, that a personal taste of mine however, i do go back to places especially locally when they build a relationship with you. I won’t take this as my final experience, I’ll give it a second try although i honestly was disapointed with the quality of the food.

This is the restaurant that made me fall in love with ceviche… The staff is great, the food is always amazing — whether it’s the ceviche or the paella — and their mojitos are made to perfection(and I’m really picky with mojitos). I’ve taken several friends and family there and they’ve all loved it! It’s such a cute place too! Only warning: it’s FREEZING in there so make sure to wear pants and a sweater or you will freeze to death.

The young lady I first spoke with when I entered didn’t seem to interested in engaging in a conversation however, I had a great experience with the two gentleman at the bar, when I picked up my food. They were kind and seemed not just interested in what I had to say but, also engaged in conversation regarding the same topic.(Giving me some background of the location and how it started) It doesn’t take much to make someone feel welcomed and they definitely accomplished that in the 5mins I was there. I look forward to eating in next time, and really taking in the environment.

Went with my mother for a late lunch on a Wednesday. We ordered the chef’s ceviche specialty. It was delicious! I would go back to have it again. It had lobster, tuna, salmon, avocado and the sauce had passion fruit and orange juice. The plate was huge. It’s good as an appetizer for people to share or just a main dish if you don’t order anything else. I wish it came with extra fried plantains because they were amazing. We also ordered a seafood risotto with huancaina sauce. It wasn’t bad, actually pretty good… but not my thing. The sauce was very creamy and thick(an bit too much) and it did have a good amount of seafood which included shrimp, squid, clams and mussels. We took a peek at the self serve all you cn eat lunch buffet, it didn’t look appealing to me. I give this 4 stars just because it’s probably the best ceviche I’ve ever had.

I stumbled upon this place just walking and trying to find somewhere new to eat. We did go on a Monday night so the place wasn’t packed at all. My boyfriend had no clue what to get so our waiter suggested the Lomo Saltado. When we got the food and tried the dish, it was amazing. Very good taste to it BUT we love salty food, I suggest if you’re not a fan of salty food don’t get this dish as it is mixed with soy sauce. The waiter didn’t bother too much which was fine for us. He took a bit long to refill our waters and took a long time just to get the check. Since we were just walking and didn’t really expect to go here we weren’t dressed for the environment but we didn’t feel too uncomfortable. The place looks nice and seems as though it could get busy on a Friday or Saturday night. Overall, I had a good experience and will be going back to try some ceviche!

I love fresh fish and ceviche, great combination of both. Lomo saltado is also my second choice here. It is a little salty but of course it would be it gives it flavor.

For a lack of better words, this place was absolutely disgusting. Ther wasn’t a single plate that looked appetizing to me, so I ended up getting the seafood wok noodles. The only flavor I could taste throughout the entire meal was this soysauce-like flavor. Basically, the entire sauce ended up on my white shirt because it was so messy to eat and it was sauce galore. Had I actually enjoyed the food, I would have been happy because the portion is really large and not too expensive. However, I couldn’t get through even half of my meal and ended up giving it away. It really grosses me out that they serve out water without straws so we have to drink straight from the cup. But beyond that, the waiter kept speaking to us in Spanish. I mean, I know we are at a Peruvian restaurant but I thought it would have been obvious that I don’t speak Spanish. We barely saw the waiter, my food came out so late, and it honestly was a mission to get the check. Though this place is almost right in front of my office, you will NOT be finding me at this restaurant again! Update: this place is confirmed to have bad food as I went back for a second time. I ordered a platter, it was literally just shrimp with sauce. And by shrimp I mean like 8 pieces… for $ 14. It was a mistake to have given it a second chance.

I really want to give them 5 Stars, but… Anyway, on to my review… Great location on the quieter side of Coral Gables. Whether you’re up for a casual or intimate dining experience, this place will cater to your needs… I’d highly recommend you start with a traditional Pisco Sour to set the tone(because nothing else will suffice), then dive into one of their ceviches or perhaps a small plate of Choclo or some beef heart Anticuchos and be sure to finish off the night with some Lomo Saltado — introduce your palate to all the Peru has to offer!

I got FOODPOISONING here!!! There should be ZERO stars for places like this. We went on a Saturday, and I ate of the buffet they had which was $ 20– everything looked appetizing but it wasn’t! I think I got sick off the ceviche, maybe image temperature wasn’t controlled properly. Ceviche was bland, needed salt and more acidity. Meh! Do Not Eat Here — Stay Away!!! Never again to I come here.

We ordered the Chicken causa which was delish, a side of tigre de Liche and shared a Lomo Saltado. The meat was good, but it was very salty. I wish they would use a low sodium soy sauce or not as much salt, made my eyes squint.

The restaurant sits on a corner of Ponce de Leon and Navarre. It is beautifully decorated and dimly lit, perfect for an intimate dinner. We came to dinner on a quiet Saturday night with my mom and husband. We decided to meet my mom at the restaurant, so when we got there, she was already waiting at the table. The hostess very nicely greeted us and showed us to where my mom was sitting. When we sat, we already had the menus set out for us with water and a complimentary appetizer, which was very nice. Our waiter immediately came over to greet us, and took our drink order. He recommended we try a pisco sour or Peruvian beer. I refused and decided on my usual Diet Coke, but my husband asked for the recommended Peruvian Beer(Cristal), which he very much enjoyed. After he promptly brought our drinks over, he also introduced us to the menu and made a few recommendations from the daily specials. However, we decided to go a la carte. My husband had the pollo saltado, my mom had the ceviche mixto, and I had the mariscos saltados. We were so engaged in conversation that I think the food took no more than 15 minutes to reach our table. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious! The mariscos saltados I had included octopus, mussels, clams, and shrimp in a sauce with onions and tomatoes and a side of white rice and french fries. It was very tasty and plentiful! It was so much that I ended up taking half of it home. My husband was also pleasantly surprised with his pollo saltado. My mom’s ceviche was also plentiful and very lemony(as she likes it). I am actually surprised this place only has 3.5 stars. This location definitely deserves more credit! I was especially surprised by the service as our waiter was very respectful and knowledgeable, and the wait staff always kept our water glasses full. Overall, it was an excellent experience and I would love to return. The prices are reasonable, the food is delicious, and we were treated like royalty.

When it comes to Peruvian food, this place is one of the best. During lunch they have a buffet for $ 14.95 that includes, ceviche, tiraditos, causas, papas a la huancaina, and a variety of cooked dishes. You also have the option of ordering from the menu. My favorite dishes are the lomo saltado, ají de gallina and tallarines verdes. I prefer to eat there or pick up because the delivery charge is pretty hefty($ 6 last time I ordered). They used to have happy hour specials but they no longer do, hopefully they will offer it again. Overall is a nice place to go for lunch or dinner.
