History

Established in 2002.

Any organization is a reflection of the company leadership. Modular Building Associates (MBA) offers customers a unique combination of style, attention to detail, creative problem solving and common-​sense construction experience under the leadership of Jeff Austin and Lisa Austin. Jeff entered the modular industry in 1993 with a large national retailer. After turning an underperforming branch into a top contender, the company was purchased by another national retailer. In 2002, Jeff launched MBA. Lisa operates as an independent advertising media buyer and helps Jeff guide MBA.

Meet the Business Owner

Jeff A.

Business Owner

Jeff Austin began his career in the commercial modular building industry with Space Master Buildings in 1993. Space Master was later purchased by Williams Scotsman in ¹⁹⁹⁷⁄₉₈. Over those years, Jeff designed, remodeled, leased and sold hundreds of thousands of square feet of modular buildings and earned a variety of awards including Salesman of the Year and multiple top branch performance awards. Jeff started Modular Building Associates in 2002.

Jeff received his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree with a Real Estate minor from the University of North Texas. In addition to his college education, Jeff received instruction from various military schools. The most outstanding military school was the Army Engineer Officer Basic Course in Fort Belvoir, Virginia. This four month residency program covered all aspects of military construction and engineering while allowing Jeff the opportunity to engage in all aspects of construction.
