Established in 1988.

Our daughter, Veronica and I started the business after the Hall of Fame asked us to provide housing for some of their guests. For 28 years I have enjoyed the hospitality business very much and sharing this amazing home with a very rich history. It is still a priviledge to live here. Have received accolades from Smart Money and Bön Appetit and been featured in the regional magazine — Kaatskill Life.

My fiancée and I had a wonderful stay at Overlook. It was very clean, affordable, and a quick walk to main st. and the Baseball Hall of Fame. Our room, the Abbie Room, was very large with a large private bathroom. The Inn is owned and operated by Gayle and her husband, Jack. They were very welcoming and made us feel right at home.
The breakfast that we had each morning was a nice mix of cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, and a different pastry made by Gayle each morning.
We would highly recommend Overlook B&B to anyone that is going to visit Cooperstown.

We found this amazing amazing Bed and Breakfast through the Cooperstown lodging website, and after a brief exchange of emails with Gayle, who owns the place along with her husband Jack, we decided to spend our three nights there. Their website (
) makes the rooms and common spaces look wonderful – and the reality is that they are even better when you see them in person. Every morning Gayle makes fresh pastries of different kinds, with cereal and hard boiled eggs, juice and coffee available. For my wife’s birthday Gayle made a blueberry coffee cake with a candle. It was out of this world good!
5 minute brisk walk to the Hall of Fame. Easy access. Parking.
The place is immaculate, the prices are very reasonable, and the overall experience is the best I’ve ever had at a B and B. Be ready with a check, they don’t take credit cards…

My wife and I were in town for a wedding and booked a room at the Overlook despite not really being B&B people.
We were both blown away by how awesome this house is (the pictures do not do it justice) and the amazing personal service. Gayle is fantastic and strikes the perfect balance of making you feel at home without making you feel like you’re crashing at someone’s house.
We are already looking into a date to return just the two of us for a relaxing weekend.
