This has been my local hardware store since 1989, though at that time it was a Coast to Coast run by the same proprietor and was located in the former strip mall that was torn down by the city over ten years ago for«redevelopment.» Bah. Anyway, they’re always helpful and usually can be counted on to suggest solutions to my typical indescribable home hardware crisis. I can’t count how many times I’ve pieced together a dozen pieces of pipe and various fittings and had Todd or one of his minions point out that what I really wanted could be done with two or three(much cheaper) pieces. They don’t ALWAYS find a cheap solution, but they always work hard at it and they’ve never cheated me. They also rent tools and trucks, sell bait, fill propane tanks, fix screens and windows, and probably a hundred other things I’ve just never needed. Highly recommended.

I really like this Ace because not only does it care a wide variety of hardware, it also has a Budget Rental inside. Budget rents large items like Dock trucks with or without lift gates.

First off, they gotta fix the address on this — the store moved from the given location about three years ago, and is now on the corner of Coon Rapids Blvd and Foley Ave. Excellent hardware store, staffed by people who know what they’ve got and where it is, and they can give very good advice if you’re not sure about something. I’d been to all the big-box hardware outlets(Home Depot, Menard’s, etc) looking for replacement window-crank hardware, and finally one of them referred me to this little Ace Hardware, which had exactly what I was looking for! Boy, talk about the bluebird of happiness in one’s own back yard. Go here first!
