Kitchen Aid parts that I was able to locate for a dishwasher through SEARS, the little pieces just could not be as expensive as SEARS said that they were.
Stopped by Stainy’s in Conyers on Old Salem Road, just east of the intersection with Ga. 20/138…they pulled up the diagrams based on my model numbers; located the parts and what SEARS wanted $ 30 for, these folks were happy with about $ 15. One item was ordered… but the call I got less than 24 hours later had me up and running within one day of my visit to Stainy’s.
There is a rule of thumb about appliance parts and non-professionals…I could have been taken to the cleaners on parts costs especially as the SEARS prices were readily available. Honesty and follow thru is something lacking in too many places and with too many suppliers or contractors that have no problem overcharging «one time» customers.
I’ve got other appliances that will need just a little tenderness to bring them back whole and almost new again. I’ll be buying from the local mom & pop shop that wants to do business fairly. That will be Stainy’s Appliance Parts & Service in Conyers on Old Salem Road.
